I just came across this story! Absolutely AMAZING!! Anne of Green Gable is one of my favorite books and this story was wonderful! Especially this last chapter. Beautifully written!

Brava!
That was absolute magic. Nqllisi has been on me for months to read this story and I'm so glad I finally did. Now I need to reread Green Gables!!

The Dwighde character is sorely missing from LMM's stories. His "in the animal world" tip is awesome. I've always loved when Gil pleads "for keeps" in his apology and I can just picture Jim's face as he says it, too.

Dwighde is priceless, as it the reference to the Widow Gould. And Jim winking is the only thing that could ever beat out Gilbert winking in a cuteness contest. The ONLY thing that could have topped this scene would be a stronger throwback to the awards ceremony in Office Olympics.

You morphed the ride home and the accompanying conversation so perfectly. Maybe the most memorable lines in that original scene are Anne admitting to her chattiness, but Pam just wouldn't be chatty, and you did a perfect job of toning down that aspect while keeping up the friendly, dreamy aspects of the "joint" character's personalities.

Phyllis and Bob are perfect as the adoptive parents!

Thank you. Happily Ever After.
Author's Response: Thank YOU for reading and also for your reviews. It was such a satisfying way to end their story.

*siiiiigh* Beautiful.
Author's Response: Thanks, lis!

Sad, but somehow satisfying to have Pam throw "I can't!" at Roy instead of Jim... oh, I can't wait for what's next!
Author's Response: Oh, it was so satisfying to write! Thanks so much for the review!

My dearest, I can't tell you how much I have loved reading this story. I am so proud of you! You have done an AMAZING job melding two of my very favorite things in the world (best. cornwine. ever.) This last chapter was simply gorg and I couldn't be happier with it. And thank you for the shout out of sorts- she bought a potato! Heh! I love you, and this story. A LOT. Yay!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, babin! I'm so glad you've enjoyed it and that you've been my real-life cheerleader. And I couldn't resist the bit about the potato, it was too absurd not to put in. I luh yuh tuh!

Hey, Giggles! I don't do this too often, but I decided to delay reading this story until it was done. I love the Anne stories and figured I'd be able to follow it better if I waited, so I read the entire thing just now. It was so awesome. You did a beautiful job capturing the time period, melding the original story with all the "Officeisms". Every time I came upon an Office reference, I would giggle with glee.
So congrats on finishing this! Now I'm off to enjoy "second drink" aka reading the reviews! :)
Author's Response: Thanks, EH! I giggled plenty while writing it, and I'm so glad you liked it! It does feel like an accomplishment to have finished it. Thanks for the review!

I've been reading, but all kinds of work has kept me from reviewing like I should have, but I wanted to take this free moment to tell you how much I've loved this story. So creative and well done. It was great. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so very much, carbondalien, I'm so glad you've enjoyed it!

What a wonderful ending to a wonderful story! I really, really enjoyed this from start to finish. Fantastic work!
Author's Response: Yay, I'm so glad you've enjoyed it! I loved writing it, it's kind of sad that it's over. Thanks so much!

Oh no--this can't be the last! I do really love how you seemlessly incorporated both stories as one. The ending was perfect. Pam and Jim saying 'I love you' and everything they said on their picnic was lovely. You sure you can't add one epilogue chapter--taking place maybe a little down the road? Ok, I'll stop! But thank you again for a wonderful story!
Author's Response: Hee, thanks, kat! I'd be open to an epilogue normally, but unfortunately, I don't really like the Anne books so much after Anne of the Island. I know it's sacrilege! I have been mulling over a oneshot epilogue, so we'll see what comes of that. Thanks for all the nice reviews!

Oh, this was precious and charming I know I already said lovely and that I overuse it horribly when reviewing, but this *is* lovely and warmed my heart.
Author's Response: Thanks, healingmirth, you're so very nice! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I've been reading this as you've been writing, but I hadn't had the the chance to comment until now. I absolutely *love* this story. You've taken one of my most loved things and combined it with another in the most wonderful way. It's easy to see that you, too, love "Anne Of Green Gables" from the way you've lovingly created this story. I'd like to thank you for writing this beautiful story. <3
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I do love both stories so much, and I had such a good time combining them. Thanks for the lovely compliments!

It's been years since I either read the books or watched the movies, but I adored them both. This sets such a lovely, perfect tone right from the first line. I'm off to read the rest now!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I admit, I'm a bit dissatisfied with the first chapter, but I'm glad it works!

So wonderful! Can't wait to see some fluff!! :)

Oh my Gosh, how I love this story! I've said this before, but I really, really love how you fit everything from the Office universe into this story. Beach games speech! Totally awesome. Thank you for such an awesome story and I cannot WAIT to see the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Girl with the Awesomest First Name evah! I'm so glad you liked it, and I'm very excited about the next chapter, too!

I know I haven't commented on these last few chapters, but I have been reading them. I adore this story and can't wait to read more. Even though I know how the story goes, I'm still on the edge of my seat for every chapter. I'm looking forward to Pam and Jim getting together here just as much as I did on the show. Keep writing!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, kth201! I'm glad it's almost done because the best part is the next chapter. Thanks so much for the nice support and for keeping up with the story, that's such a compliment.

I loved this. I loved the way I could remember the words from the book but you still definitely made it your own. It was really, really good. And this is coming from someone who's read that scene like a million times. Well, okay, not as many times as the one at the end of that book, obviously, but still.
I also like the way Pam's sort of becoming FNB (or FNA?) through her art. I think one of the reasons Anne of the Island is my favorite, besides all the romance is that we get to see Anne go from being a romantic little girl to a smart, practical, but still imaginative woman.
Anyway, this is awesome as always and I'm really excited to have you finish it. Good luck getting it done before Thanksgiving!
Author's Response: Thanks, Azlin! I liked using art rather than writing for Pam, it fits in so well. And I agree about Anne of the Island, she's really awesome in that one. And I WILL get it donw before Thanksgiving, so there. ;-)
