This was great! It showed us the Old Pre-Job Jan, who I loved. Sure, it was unprofessional of Karen to ask Jan for special treatment, but I totally understand her position.
This line was especially great:“Was it…was it in the office?”
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Yeah, the show has totally blasted this bit of fanfic into bits, but that's OK. It was fun to write, anyway. (I confess, I actually giggled when I wrote that line. Can't you just hear Jan asking?" Thanks again!

Yep, you weren't kidding when you said you were way off. ;-) But then again, who could've ever guessed the direction that Jan was going to go careening off in?!
Still, this was fantastic. You remain the mistress of metaphor. And it was funny! I laughed out loud several times - not sure how to accuse Michael, "officially flapped", "anti-man solidarity", the whole firewalk confusion. Hee! Very nice.
Author's Response: Thank you!! I was trying to be funny...it's a lot harder than the angsty stuff, for me. Or even the fluff. I had to sneak a metaphor in there, of course- it's my M.O. these days. Thanks again!

oh, this is wonderful! The bit about Jim being one of the clowns is just so, so true - he's a large part of the Scranton madness, and could never just be an outside observer as Karen probably initially thought he was. Jim-in-Scranton is not the same person as Jim-in-Stamford, and Karen and Jim's whole relationship is based on the identity he created in Stamford. I love the relationship between Karen and Jan here, because in a lot of ways their relationships with the Scranton guys are very similar. The only difference is that Jan actually knew what she was getting herself into, when Karen clearly did not. Great job!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you so much! That's exactly what I was going for there- woohoo! I hope I made your finale day go by a bit faster!

Orange Circus Peanuts are the most vile, repulsive anti-candy known to humankind.
Thank Thor this story does not live up to its name.
I would think that Jan would have a bit of empathy for Karen, definitely! I hope that tonight we do see the END of the beast that is the Jim/Karen relationship....
Good job!
Author's Response: Thanks! I hope so, too! (Hee, those things really are nasty).

The circus is a great metaphor for the Scranton office. Loved this: Karen seemed officially flapped. And this "...and I’m dating one of the clowns.”
Thanks for helping pass the 8 remaining hours until the finale!
Author's Response:
Try as he might to deny it, Jim is part and parcel with the Scranton office. Almost as much as the whole "P situation," this is why he doesn't fit with Karen. Pam's confession should be enough to throw Karen off her game, shouldn't it? I'm hoping! Eight more hours, huh? We can manage that! I think...

loved it! what a great metaphor, it really is a great metaphor being dropped into that nuthouse. Sorry Karen, but you just don't belong, don't let the door hit you on the way out though :)
Author's Response: Ha, thanks! Yeah, sorry, Karen...it's been real, but it's time to go! (Fingers firmly crossed).
