This is so bittersweet, it makes my heart hurt. But in a really good way!!!!!!
Author's Response: I swear I wasn't trying to make people hurt, although that seems to be what happened! Thanks for reviewing!

I just realized that reading this story sparked an Office related dream I had last night. And my first - so congrats to you. Anyway - In my dream I basically told Roy that the ring he bought Pam was pathetic. LOL!
But back to your story. I loved it. You write them so well, so sweetly and oh so sad. :( But the Mrs. B fic more than made up for it so I forgive you. Excellent job. :)
Author's Response:
Wow! I'm honored. :)
Sorry to make you sad, but I'm glad you liked it!

She lowers her eyes to her hand as Jim gently passes his thumb over her ring finger, just once, before dropping her hand.
I'm not sure why, but that's such a perfect image of Jim and Pam... lovely.
Author's Response: Aw, thanks!

Nothing she does with Jim is ever innocent.
Jim watches her go, sparing him one sidelong glance before lowering her eyes to the ground, slipping her arm through Roy's, and walking away from him.
He wonders if she'll ever stop breaking his heart.
chilling. the part about jim slipping the ring on pams finger was particularly effective.
Author's Response: Thanks! :D

This killed me...you wrote their situation so well--playful and fun on the outside, and just aching on the inside.
Author's Response: Thanks! That's really how I see it, especially for Jim.

I can totally, totally see this as an episode. Fun, silly, flirtatious, and then *BAM* heartbreaking. You're wrecking me, today!
Author's Response: Thanks! I don't want to wreck you, but it's still nice to know I can. :)
