Aw. Pam keeping The Teapot as a centerpiece, still filled with his gifts...so sweet. So Pam. Like her keeping the yogurt lid medal. Who would imagine something so small and insignificant would be the turning point in a romance? And then the flat tire, and Pam offering to change it (hee!)...just such a sweet story. Thanks.

Needless to say, this was the most wonderful chapter. And this was the most wonderful line in this chapter - "Pam really was everything….and “everything” turned out to be a lot easier and a lot more fun than he could have ever imagined."

You did an amazing job showing how Karen was just not right for Jim. Everything rang so true. I loved this - "He also learned that the final expectation was that he would leave what he knew and become That Guy with total finality…or it was the end of the road. And that expectation turned out to feel less suffocating than he might have otherwise expected. It actually felt more like a ticket to freedom, a roadmap back to where he had left himself almost a year ago."
Author's Response: THANK YOU! I really wanted to show Karen as not a bad person, but just as totally incompatible. I'm so glad that came through for you.

"But, sometimes experienced is exciting, and sometimes it’s just gross." Sweet, naive, unexperienced Jim. That was the funniest line ever!

Poor Jim! How extremely embarassing. But she really blew it (TWSS) by laughing as I bet she'd never seen such a fine example of manhood before! Or since.

Haha!!! That seems totally likely that Jim wouldn't know what a Brazillian wax was... poor Jim... :)
Author's Response: Can you imagine the trauma of seeing a Brazilianed hoo-ha without prior warning? Poor Jim, indeed....

very cute story. :)
Author's Response: Thanks!

I really enjoyed the tragic story that is Jim Halpert's love life. That was mortifying for the most part but very sweet too! :)
Author's Response: Thanks! I figured a mortifying sexual history might go a ways in making sense of Jim's longtime pining position....Poor boy was baffled by women in general, all he knew was that he really, really liked Pam.

they are perfect for each other.
Date: June 08, 2007 12:25 pm Title: Karen, 2006-2007
Karen and Jim are so not right for each other and this chapter proves it.
Author's Response: Yes! I think Karen will be amazed at how easy a relationship can actually be once she hooks up with a guy who is actually compatible with her!

Gah.. I love, love, love that he got his shirt all dirty from the flowers. And poor Jim.. you guys need to stop making him so dorky, because it's getting harder and harder (TWSS!!) to NOT want to jump him..
Author's Response: Those flowers are a serious Grade 5 Laundry Risk.

Well he all hated Katy so I loved this chapter.
Date: June 08, 2007 12:22 pm Title: Stephanie, 2000
Evil woman to humiliate our poor Jim. She should have helped him put it on;)
Date: June 08, 2007 12:21 pm Title: Kirsten, 1996-1999
Wow she crazy to dump Jim for a short, cocky little soccer player with piercing blue eyes.
Author's Response: You are made of clever.....you notice who that soccer player resembles? The soccer player named BRYAN CROWELL? Hmmmmmmmmmmm?

Aw! I am a large messy gooey puddle of...goo! This is so great. SO GREAT! Maybe I'm Jim... well, in any case, I really relate. I love that last paragraph, in any case. The lady in the best marriage I have ever seen said to me "My husband isn't this perfect man or anything. He's just the perfect man for me!" Which is just so, so right, ya know? Just like this fic :)
Author's Response: Yeay! That is exactly the sentiment I was going for...Thanks!

Oh, this was great! And the Pam payoff was just perfect, because all those other girls were just stupid. It was very cute, and I really enjoyed it, regardless of how much I wanted to beat up those four other girls. ;)
Author's Response: Aw, don't beat them up! Well, maybe Stephanie. She was just mean.
Date: June 07, 2007 07:46 pm Title: Pam, 2007-
I really liked all five of your stories- they were all very distinct, and treat to read. I especially love hearing about Jim's feelings in regards to each one. Great job! :-)
Author's Response: Thanks! Jim obviously has some .... issues....with romantic relationships....this was the best I could do of making sense of it all...
Date: June 07, 2007 05:40 pm Title: Karen, 2006-2007
Shit. I'm a lot like your Karen. :
I also just ended it with a guy who was a lot like your Jim. But there was no Pam involved. GAH. Now everyone will judge me cause me I have expectations. BOO.
Author's Response: Now, Kel, how could we judge? I don't think Karen's a villain, nor did I mean to portray her as such. It's good she has expectations....but I think any time she spent looking for Jim to fulfill them was wasted time. He was The Wrong Boy For Her, and vice versa. Now she (and you) can go and find a more compatible dude. Or "boy toy" if you prefer. Or "slampiece," even. Whatever. ;)

Awww...this was adorable. I loved how Jim wanted it to be perfect and that Pam couldn't hide her enthusiasm. Absolutely lovely end to the story. I'm glad Jim is finally happy (Pam too) and not way over his head. =)
Author's Response: Thanks! And, yeah, Jim's earlier dating history does just make you want to hug him, doesn't it? At least Pam will be doing some hugging now....
Date: June 07, 2007 04:10 pm Title: Karen, 2006-2007
Woo-hoo for Jim breaking free! I like how you wrote Karen...seems to explain why Jim was in that relationship.
Date: June 07, 2007 04:05 pm Title: Katy, 2005-2006
Haha...that doesn't surprise me about Katy. I love Jim's innocense (although I'm sure there are many guys who don't know what a Brazilian is)
Date: June 07, 2007 04:00 pm Title: Stephanie, 2000
Ok...this one makes me want to give him a hug even more. (maybe I'm slightly protective of him esp. when he's nieve)
Date: June 07, 2007 03:58 pm Title: Kirsten, 1996-1999
=( Poor Jim...this makes me want to give him a hug!

I absolutely LOVE that he just blurts out a confession of love and then freaks out. Fantastic! I can see the first date going like this. You have them both very in character and adorkable.
Author's Response: Thanks! I love Dork Love. Dorks rule. Or, at least I'd like to believe tis so.
