i think the two of them have had like 20 dates unofficially. so i think skipping ahead is quite alright.
why did writing this remind me of friends and as rachel was deciding whether or not to date ross.... hum... well, because it does sort of... i shall just shut up now. as this is the office, not friends.
Author's Response: I have seen maybe three episodes of Friends, so I'm not really sure about the Rachel/Ross thing.

Ha! Excellent. And yes, I can see things progressing rapidly for our two heroes (and, conversely, infuriatingly slowly, depending on the day). There is just so much water under that bridge already- but whether that makes them more cautious or just more ready...either way, this was perfect.
Author's Response: Thanks, nqllisi. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

This was a cool story on so many levels - the 55 challenge, addressing both Roy and Karen, and then jumping right to the third date. Yum. You said a lot with so little!
Author's Response: Well, I only had 55 words! :) Thanks for reading, kaystar!

Yup, no more beating around the bush, you two. You've definitely wasted enough time.
Nice job NEJ!
Author's Response: Too bad we won't see this. *sigh* Thanks for reading, EH!

Very nice. I like the parallel you draw with Roy and Karen. It's a nice take on the date.
Author's Response: Yeah, Karen and Roy definitely have cause for complaint. I think of them as collateral damage. Thanks for reading, TLK.

Yay for third. Third base. Third time's the charm. It's all good.
Loved it. :-)
Author's Response: Yeah, I'm making certain assumptions about that third date which maybe aren't warranted, but what the heck. I think the idea comes through: time for these two to get together!

So glad you did one of these...knew you'd do it with style. And hooray for skipping to third anything!
Author's Response: Aww. Thanks, Colette. This was fun. And you know I want Jim and Pam to skip right to the happy place--whether it's the third date or the tenth!

Yup, way too late for that. Nice drabble, NEJ. (Or is it half a drabble?)
Author's Response: Yeah, I guess it is a half-drabble! :) Glad you liked this, lisahoo!
