"And he’s really honestly getting tired of the way subtext tastes on the tip of his tongue."
That's it. Game over. Best single line of JamFic I have read EVAH! My GOD does that capture Jim Halpert!

"They just hold hands and don’t really pay attention to any of the stores."
Oooo. Chills. Love this. Too JAM!

"...trapped in one of those moments that they aren’t allowed to be trapped in."
I envy you this phrase. Perfect.

Poor, poor Jim. I couldn't believe Pam in this episode. Oh, well, I'll comfort him! ;-P

I'm glad you're continuing this. Don't beat yourself up over your Michael - I think you've captured him well.

This precisely captures the tone and substance of that scene - Jim's sad, hopeless, resignation about Pam; how sweetly he wants to reassure Michael of their friendship; his attraction/repulsion about confiding in Michael...just perfect. So poignant. And I think Michael's voice reads loud and clear.

I was so excited to see that you had updated.
I always love the moments that you create because they feel so true to the characters and the show--like they really could have been moments that the camera just didn't catch.
This one was so gorgeously sad. Loved the way you wrote Jim's thoughts--and you shouldn't worry about the way you write Michael because I could definitely hear him saying the things you wrote in my head.

This sounds just like Michael - you really got him down:“No, Jim. She isn’t happy. She’s just a big, mopey blob…thing,” he finally says, sticking his tongue out in disgust." I'm so glad you are continuing this - I love these stories!

Heartbreaking. And beautifully done.

Maybe she’s sleeping alone in her new apartment with shadows from the window creeping along her skin.
What a lovely image. It's great to read this series again!

Oh, poor sad Jim. I can totally see this, as the alcohol and the company wear down the facade he's projecting. So honest. I wish you could promise us a happy ending!

I love your Michael and your Jim. I think they are both spot-on. Poor angsty Jim.

He closes his eyes, falls asleep, and doesn’t dream of her.
A small triumph, eh?
Fantastic, as usual. Couldn't wait to click on this one!

Jim's promise at the end of this chapter physically hurts me.

This is definitely one of my favorite moments from your story. It was sweet, sexy, tense, cute...all sort of wonderful things and fits in so well with a buildup to the confession & the kiss.

Loved this conversation--Jim's gentle pushing is exactly what Pam needs and you wrote it beautifully. Really liked the way you tied it back into the episode at the end in a way that made perfect sense.

I could really see Pam going through this thought process...just wish she would wake up a bit! Great paragraph about her memory of Jim's house.

This chapter made my skin tingle--loved the subtle sexual tension running throughout the whole conversation and loved the Dwight card.

As with all of your "unseen" moments--I can actually see this one playing out in my head. You stay so true to the show and to the characters but manage to show us an added layer of depth in the Jim & Pam relationship. Just wonderful :)

Just him.
You know it, Pam baby.
What a wonderful series. I selfishly hope you continue, but even if you don't- this has been a wonderful journey behind the scenes.

It makes me want more. Can't wait for next season.

You did a great job with all of these. Your short and sweet approach really works with these types of vignettes, and of course here I loved the idea that Pam wore the dress for Jim. Awhile back, I read a fic wherein Pam blamed the dress for what happened after. This chapter was like a foreword for it.

Valentine's Day made me feel as though something (a little Jim and Pam interaction, perhaps?) was missing, so this completed the episode well.

I know I've said before but it bears repeating. This was amazing. I adored every single chapter. Every single one rang incredibly true and are now my make believe canon. On to S3!!!
