Belatedly wanted to express again how much I enjoy this; it was the cause of much laughter from my office. Not that I ever read fanfic at work of course. I must now wipe away the image of Michael sawing Pam from my mind.
Author's Response:
Are you saying you're running around your office making your co-workers read my fanfic? Oh...you just meant you. For a second there I thought I'd gotten a whole new following. :)
Rest your worried mind - Jim won't let Michael anywhere near Pam with a saw - wizard or no.
And most of all thank you. I'm glad you're enjoying it. :)

This continues to be hilarious. It's really, really great to delve back into fanfic and find something so great from you! As usual, your dialog is spot-on, and you manage to make your fic actually funny, which I know I struggle with. I look forward to more!
Author's Response:
I've been slacking in the reply dept. Thanks so much Lis!! I'm so happy you liked it. More soon. I promise!

This chapter, more than the last, made me say, "Oh Micheal" repeatedly. Hee! I think you're really hitting your stride now. This was wonderful!
I missed the fic archive more than I realized. And now I have that ON-J song in my head. Thanks.
Author's Response:
This is the second time I have used ON-J in a fic. What does that say about me??? I'm so glad you're enjoying the ride. Thank you as ever for your lovely review.

I just love this fic so much. Can't wait for more! And everyone needs to click on the link at the bottom about the actual? wizard named Michael Scott. It's hysterical. When I read "Guide to the Perplexed", all I could visualize was Michael's face. Too funny. :)
Author's Response:
EH - Gotta say - when I saw that tidbit on the site whilst doing my research I was literally screaming "No freaking way" at the screen. LOL! I am so very glad you love this fic. Thank you for taking the time to tell me so.

I think this may be my favorite fic of yours...at least this week ;-) Seriously, it's just so witty and clever and your Michael is so pitch perfect, you're scaring me a little! So often when a fic attempts to read like an actual episode, it's a near miss (or a far miss, lol), but this is exactly on target. The Swedish bank account, Jim's last comment to Pam...I'm laughing out loud. (And hooray for Scotty, btw ;-)
Author's Response:
OMG! See what happens when I take so long to update??? Scotty was totally a shout out to you - and I meant to mention it. Bad me.
So glad you are enjoying it. You know I love the fluffy - but this is much more fun!

Poor Michael. I fear this isn't going to end as well as he hopes either. ;-)
Great read, though!
Author's Response:
I know. You've got that right.
Thank you my dear for the review!

My only complaint about this story is that the updates are so few and far between! I freaking LOVE this story! :)
Your characterization of Michael is so close to reality it's spooky. It's like you're channeling him.
Brilliant. Just brilliant.
Author's Response:
I know Mose. I'm so sorry. Real life's been c-razy for me lately. Hopefully the next two chapters will be cleaned up sooner rather than later.
Though I'm scared you think I'm channeling Michael. What does that say about me???

A financial advisor found in a supermarket, a Swedish bank account, wizardry... All in a day's work for Michael Scott. I am convinced Dwight would be over the moon about it! This is a really fun story. :)
Author's Response: Oh Dwight can't be more excited about all this. It's helping to distract him through the breakup. ;) So glad you're enjoying it!!!

I don't even know what to say about this story anymore. It's just so, so, so good....I wish I could say something insightful, but honestly you should just go and write for the show already. Said this into Greg Daniels and call it a day. So amazingly funny, so amazingly in character. Each voice is spot-on.
Nothing but love for this fic. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response:
Well that is just so lovely to hear. Thank you for such a sweet compliment, but I think I'll leave the real writing to GD & Co. It's just fun to play around once and a while. So very glad your liking the story thus far.

Oh Pam. She's such a softie. She is so deft at gently manipulating both Michael and Dwight. Really nice.
Plus...I LOVE Swiss Family Robinson! Both the movie and the book.
Oh and YAY for the return of the fic!
Author's Response:
Pam is a sweetie. I don't care what that Filipelli chick says. lol!
So glad you liked it.

Lots of fun. Several giggles, some chuckles, even some guffaws. Vintage Michael absurdity, with some great Pam thrown in. The Pam-Michael dynamic is always fun, and you capture it really well here. Looking forward to more.
Author's Response:
Guffaws you say? Alrighty then. Thank you for your conrtribution to the humor in this chapter. More to come...hopefully soon, definitely eventually. :)

Are you really writing this, or did you somehow obtain a script for an upcoming show? Unbelievable. Each character is so perfectly himself. And Michael being related to either Coretta Scott King or Spuds Mackenzie is genius. In case it's not obvious - I really love this one....well worth the wait.
Author's Response:
Heee Colette! I've been having the best time time ever writing this. And I'll take the credit for Spuds Mackenzie - but Coretta Scott King came directly from brokenloon. Thanks so so much!

Hugs...I don't know what to say about this other than - perfection. Quality of Office fic just doesn't get any better than this. The voices, the plot, the completely on target characterizations...this is spot on fantastic.
Author's Response: Well LoveFool - that's so very nice to hear. I'm so - so - so glad you're enjoying it.
Date: September 29, 2007 01:59 pm Title: Chapter 2
I just had to say I continue to love this story. Yes, I do. :)
Author's Response:
Well - I wrote it for you - so I'm glad to hear it. :)

You had me at "trees." :)
This is flat-out BRILLIANT! I... i just can't say anything else right now... :)
Author's Response: Aww Mose! Thank you so much. The fact that I've rendered you speechless makes me smile. :)

Oh. My. God. Please always write stories involving Michael Gary Scott because they are the funniest things ever. I have laughed SO many times reading this, it's ridiculous. I mean, you really managed to capture the sense of Jim and Pam in this season -- and Michael's laundry list (no pun intended) about Jan. Hoping they're related so he can break up with her--? HAHAHAHA. And Dwight... just... all perfect.
Wait... there's still more? GAH POST SOON.
Author's Response: Thanks Ms GreenFish. Michael is a hoot and a half to write. When I first began this - the Jan being related thing was one of the things I knew I had to include. I tweaked a little post-premiere to include the bit w/Pam - but the Pam/Jim interactions were in place before I knew exactly what we were in for. So, so glad you liked it!!
Date: September 29, 2007 06:55 am Title: Chapter 2
Are you sure you don't write for the show? No? Because this sounds like a great premise for a S4 episode. The characterizations are PERFECT, as in, I'm reading this and I can hear all the vocal inflections and see the facial expressions in my mind.
So you rule, as always. Can't wait for more.
Author's Response: EH - That is always my intention and I am beyond thrilled when I hear I've succeeded. Thanks so much for the review!!
Date: September 29, 2007 06:27 am Title: Chapter 2
Spot-on excellent. The writers are going to be annoyed, that you stole such a good plotline.
Author's Response: Well I'm not quite sure of that - but it is very sweet of you to say. Thank you so much!
Date: September 17, 2007 12:22 pm Title: Chapter 1
Hee. Silly Michael. Silly xoxoxo. Love it!
Author's Response: Silly Michael indeed. More soon! I'm almost done tweaking Chapter Two. So glad you liked it!!
Date: September 13, 2007 06:35 pm Title: Chapter 1
Michael's google search for Pam was perfect. "Really rich old people who are related to Michael G. Scott" Love how you brought back Pam being Dwight's secret assistance. (Does that make her the secret assistant to the assistant regional manager?) Great job tying in actual show elements with Michael's new adventure.
Author's Response: Thanks flamingos! Chapter Two is slowly and surely coming together. I've needed to work on it because it wasn' t coming out quite right. But more soon!
Date: September 01, 2007 09:11 am Title: Chapter 1
This has all kinds of potential for wacky fun!
Author's Response:
Yes. Yes it does. More soon I promise!
Date: August 30, 2007 11:39 am Title: Chapter 1
Oh my dear lord are you sure you didn't steal this off the desk of one of the show writers? Because you've just nailed everything about how it works! The main focus is Michael, or Jim fucking with Dwight (and Michael) with a little bit of Jammy goodness sprinkled on top for good measure. And you even got the perfect tone of Pam interacting with Dwight and Andy and Dwight fighting over being Michael's stooge! I need to see this filmed immediately!
Author's Response:
WOW. Quite a compliment. Not sure I deserve that but thank you very much - but it's just me being silly but I love that you love it. More silliness soon.
Thanks as always for making my day w/your reviews. You're the best. :)
Date: August 30, 2007 08:43 am Title: Chapter 1
Oh...uh... let's see...what's the word I'm looking for here? Oh yeah: WOW. :)
This was all sorts of funny, with the BK/Wendy's teasing and banter being a personal favorite. Although the mental image of the creepy Burger King guy now irrevocably morphed with Michael Scott will now haunt me forever. And I thank you for that. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much Mose!! That is my fave part as well. And yeah - that guy is the creepiest. Sorry about that. I'll try to make it up to you next chapter. :)
Date: August 30, 2007 08:35 am Title: Chapter 1
Thanks so much for letting me know--and now, I can leave a real review! This is great fun, and such a Michael thing to do. I love the callback to the great dynamic between Dwight and Pam that developed at the end of last season, too, and of course Jim and Pam are great. I can't wait to see where this story goes!
Author's Response: You are most welcome. I'm so glad you liked it. And I promise to keep you unspoiled until 9/27. :)
Date: August 30, 2007 08:06 am Title: Chapter 1
I'm abusing the review function to ask a question. To preface: I am a total spoilerphobe. I avoid episode promos, and I'm not going to watch the latest S4 video by NBC. So, I don't want even the mildest spoilers: I know absolutely nothing about S4, and I want to keep it that way.
I've been burned before, with fic. I read a story and enjoy it, and then something happens in the show that I've already seen before. For me, it lessens my enjoyment (I know that lots of--most?--people feel differently, and of course that's fine). So, this is a very long-winded way of asking, before I read your story: to what extent does it contain/elaborate on/take its inspiration from spoilers?
You're one of my favorite authors, and I will be so frustrated if I have to wait several weeks before I can read your story, but I'd rather know up front than risk being spoiled for the show, even a little tiny bit.
Author's Response:
Other than the fact that I'm assuming Jim and Pam are indeed dating (based on the fact he asked her out in The Job) - there is not a spoiler to be seen in this story. And I'd like to thank you for bringing it up...I will definitely edit my summary to let others know it is spoiler free.
So please - read without risk of spoiling yourself. :)
