Seriously you are awesome, I read your fics, close my eyes and I can totally picture this happening.
Author's Response: thanks so much! yeah - this is one of my favorites.

Ooh, I really love this -- they feel adult and a little rough around the edges, very different from the sweetness we see on the show. I like their secrets, and the way they bring them closer at the same as they push them apart, just a bit, like in real life. Great dialogue, too.
Author's Response: First of all, I very much enjoyed your feedback. Very descriptive. And thank you! I definitely wanted to create the ambiance of this humid night, turning the tone to be smoky. I love the brightness of the show but I find myself really attracted to the dark bits too...

“That one was awesome.” He had no idea what she was talking about
Classic Jim response! This story was great! Thanks for sharing :)
Author's Response: thanks! and i'm happy to share. it made my day to see all of this lovely feedback. and i think jim is often painted as being really into pam's art, which i just don't buy. i think he's supportive of whatever she likes, but i just don't know that he pays that much attention to the specifics. so - maybe - is jim more like roy than we realize???rni'm just being silly. but i do maintain that mr. halpert is not as lovely as we'd all love him to be.

"No, that won't work either. Sweetie." Her project today had been finding acceptable terms of endearment. So far, honey, babe, love, baby and sweetie had been rejected.
Do you even understand how brilliant this is! As a fellow fanfic writer I have searched and searched for a reasonable sounding term of endearment for these two and it never struck me that I was finding it hard because the CHARACTERS would find it difficult...this is just a beautiful chapter. You captured them so, so well. And again...brilliant about the terms of endearment.
And Jim kissed a dude...ha!
Author's Response: LoveFool, so glad you agree. i recently read a story where a term of endearment worked (Baby), but it really only worked in context. i think the only thing that would sound natural is if they had nicknames for each other that grew out of some inside joke - delegate from iceland, perhaps :)rnof course jim kissed a dude! in my universe, everyone is always a little bit gay. or - gay leaning.

Wow. This was so well written. I can't wait to read it again. I was riveted...and I laughed out loud. It really ran the full spectrum. So believable.
Author's Response: wow to you - that is a lovely compliment. thanks! and i love that you laughed out loud! i always fret about writing the funny bits but i'm glad you liked.

You, my dear, are the one who needs to give us awesome lessons! I loved this. Jim kissed a dude! Haha. And I love that they can share these secrets now. I'm loving all your stuff lately! Great job.
Author's Response: wow, thanks so much! i'm glad you're enjoying. there are a bunch more stories in the pipeline, so look out for them. i love that they can finally talk about all of these things now. it's my favourite thing about s4.

I liked this a lot, I love small moments and backstory, and you've done a great job with both!
Author's Response: thanks for the review! for me, it's all about the small moments, the truths (BTW if anyone is reading this response, the "truth bombs" part is a shout out to 30 rock and tracy morgan/jordan - i forgot to say that in the author's notes!). glad you liked it.

This was so sweet and so them. I love that he fell in love with her the day they met, and he was never in love with Karen the whole time they dated. You do such a great job capturing their essence.
Author's Response: thanks so much! actually - i have to correct something, i guess it was not clear in the writing, which is all me. jim asks when she fell in love with him, and she's kidding around when she says 'the first day.' with Launch Party (Lunch Party! ha!), we learned that she pretty much liked him immediately, but i believe it took time for her to fall in love with him. i think watching s2 is like watching her fall in love with jim - hence the line from my story. sorry that wasn't clear! and thanks for the feedback.

Sorry for double post - forgot the star thing, as usual.

Wow, you are good. This is funny and touching and sexy and feels very real. I especially like the last paragraph - this bit in particular rings so true: He has her, and it scares him just a little that maybe she’s all he needs. He gave her the short version and said, “Absolutely not.”
Just so nicely written. And, I have to add, the name Chicken Bone has to be one of the all time great dog names - figures Jim came up with it ;-)
Author's Response: thanks for the feedback! real is v. good to hear. i have to say, bringing the fic to a close was a bit difficult, so i'm glad you think it worked.rnoh, chicken bone. mary cassatt was almost named georgia o'keefe, but she is definitely chicken bone forever. i could just picture jim shuddering at calling a dog 'mary cassatt.'

I really enjoyed that. The dialogue is totally them and I can definately imagine them sleepily taking their dog for a walk. Great job!
Author's Response: why thank you :)
