I think you perfectly captured the undercurrent of emotion in that scene and there was a sense of consistency spread over it all that is very true to the whole arc of season 2 and 3. Well done!

This is a really well designed story. I like a lot of things about it -- I think you really capture Pam, and I love the line you have her walk between bitter and not bitter -- but the thing that stands out to my mind is the simplicity with which you treat past events, certain that your audience follow along. Phrases like "shed her skin on the beach" are just breathtaking with their simplicity and the volumes of information that they convey. I'm really impressed with how well you understand both your subject matter and your audience.
Author's Response: I figured that from what I've seen here, people follow the show so closely that I wouldn't have to explain every moment. I am so happy about that, because The Office is a show that deserves attention! Thank you for your review, it's incredibly kind.

Wow. No, seriously. W.O.W.
This is really your first attempt? Are you sure you didn't mean to say 101st?
Author's Response: I've written stories before, and I'm studying to be a screenwriter, but I've never actually done anything for The Office specifically. I am such a huge fan of The Office, and when I saw there was an entire site devoted to exploring the show... I had to join! :)rnrnThanks for the review!

"It had taken far too long to be here. It had taken time, hundreds of thousands of moments spent crying over simple activities turned arduous. It had taken creation and destruction of multiple realities, excuses, and unconditional forgiveness. They were honestly never happier, never better, never more. So when Jim asked Pam if it could be a different moment, a different moment of discovery, it felt essential to deny his request. Old habits die hard, but die they will, and Pam Beesly felt the change in her heartbeat." This was the most beautifully written paragraph - it was just perfect. Congrats on your first Office fic. I hope we see many more from you!
Author's Response: Aw, that was incredibly kind of you to say. Well, I am glad that it is being well received, and I will definitely continue writing.
