McGigi, I believe I should be scared at how well you write young Michael. Yep. I am officially scared.
Wow. That would be neat - the shoe tree. And I love the Game of Life. Its my favorite board game. I remember once, my brother landed on like all the 'kid' spots. He had to get a second car to cart around all the kids. It was awesome.
And Michael wants a plastic wife. Makes sense, considering his blow up doll.
Michael, I understand you so much better now. Its scary. Poor Michael.

Wow, McGigi, that's awesome. Poor Michael! Don't even get him started on the Tooth Fairy. Fun story.

This totally broke my heart for little Michael. So naive, so trusting, so clueless. (I adored his version of a shoe tree!) And I loved Michael's description of his "plastic wife" in the game of Life. Foreshadowing of Jan? Very nicely done.

Ah, another Michael Scott childhood trauma: Meeting the nefarious Jeff and learning there is no Santa simultaneously! Yikes! Good story, McGigi.

McGiggles!! How did I miss this little gem? Chalk it up to my being insanely busy lately and not having much time to read. But this was all sorts of amazing. Crawling inside Michael Scott's head can be a frightening experience, and I applaud the bravery you exhibited in doing so. :)
I love your characterization of Michael here. So many true to life moments, from it being bad luck to wipe off a lipstick kiss, to perhaps the REAL reason he harbors so much animosity towards Toby. Maybe if Toby the HR rep left a bra in the men's room occasionally... :P
Anyway, fantastic story!!
Author's Response:
Thanks, Mose! I figured Michael would be an amalgam of all things childish and bizarre, and I had a ball writing this. I tried to give it a slightly skewed Christmasy vibe, like A Christmas Story, which is my favorite movie on the planet. I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

Poor Michael! I loved this little trip inside his head. It was perfect.
Author's Response: Thanks, Tuna! I had fun writing it, it made me giggle. I'm glad you liked it!

Aww, poor Michael. I think you did a great job of getting into his head -- now we know where his mix of naivety, eagerness to please, and admiration for the Todd Packers of the world comes from. And I loved the shoe tree. :)
Author's Response: Thanks, thirtypercent! I love thinking the way Michael thinks, it's so bizarre and so much fun. I figured the shoe tree would be right up his alley! Thanks for the review!
