jam babies and pam being insecure and jim cheering her up and just makes me happy
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review EmilyHalpert. I'm glad it made you happy, it sure was fun to write!

full disclosure: for some reason 1st person POV doesn't work for me in this genre - but you really rocked the house on this. pam's voice is totally organic. it's sweet, but i also like that it's not totally resolved. she doesn't say, ok i'll be a great mom. she gets a moment to rest, the end lets her just breathe, which she hasn't been able to do. bravo! great fic.
Author's Response: Wow, Emilys List, I really appreciate your review and your full disclosure! ;) Yeah, that's parenthood for you. It never ends, it just...pauses sometimes. Thanks a million for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I started tearing up at the end. Beautiful.
Author's Response: Wow, thank you so much, Big Tuna. Yeah, men and babies...**sigh**. Especially Jim and JAM babies....***double sigh***. Thanks again for reviewing and especially for your very nice comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Oh you are a girl after my own heart. I loved this! I could literally FEEL Pam's ache -- physically and emotionally I think. And Jim...too perfect. Gotta love the baby fic!
Author's Response: Wow, thanks so much, LoveFool! Yes, she was aching emotionally as well (therefore needing to hold her baby almost all the time, thinking that if she didn't she might not bond with her at all). I'm really glad you caught that, I don't think I have the writing skills to capture all that's going on while staying true to the sparse, efficient dialouge that Jim and Pam communicate in. Hey, it's SO much fun to try though. And yeah....I love baby stories ;) Thank you SO much for reading and reviewing!

Love the bit about being 'handled'. Yeah, it is a scary mix of hormones, exhaustion and sheer freaking joy at having made a little person in those first days. Also love me some first-person Pam.
Jam!Babies are the best ever. The very thought of them makes me smile.
Author's Response: lisahoo, thanks for the kind words. I am *really* glad that the 'handled' part seemed to come across. We know when our men are talking to our hormones, don't we? ;) But, Pam needed it right then, and she was smart enough to know it and let Jim do it. Thanks again!

Awww, so very sweet. The last part brought tears to my eyes. I love Jim and Pam and new babies and you for writing this nice fluffy won't turn-angsty story for us!
Author's Response: Thank you kaystar! Yeah, I really can see Jim holding a baby, putting his cheek across the top of her head. It even occurred to me as I wrote it that Jim's deep voice would rumble through this chest, putting a baby to sleep in no time. **sigh** Jim-love. ;) Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

oh my gosh!
this was wonderful!
I loved it!
I wonder how many times I can use an exclamation point to convey my love for this story without being annoying?
!
Author's Response: Wow, thank you, TotoDarling (great name)! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah, that was nice, and pretty realistic too. (Says the woman who was sure her first born was NEVER going to smile at her!)
Author's Response: Yes, time4moxie, the stuff we worry about in those first hours. The hormonal surge, mixed with everything else...mothers are a pretty amazing lot. If we do say so ourselves. ;) I'm glad it seemed realistic. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

"She's already crazy about you. So now, I finally have company."
One of my top 5 favorite fic lines of all-time! Great job!
I think you really captured the "real" feelings after giving birth as well as Pam's personality. Jim was spot on as well. Just fabulous!
Author's Response: Wow, thank you so much! I'm so glad that the characters seemed realistic and Pam's internal uncertainty came across. Thanks for reading and reviewing, JennInTheCity!

Wow. Yes, as a mother of three I can safely say you captured the post-birth hormone and exhaustion bombardment perfectly! I had to smile because I remember THAT smell and warmth of your brand new baby.
This is beautiful. Just perfect.
Author's Response: Thank you so much kells8995. I'm glad I captured it. My youngest is eight, but I think you never forget that feeling of the first days. Especially, as you say, the warmth and smell. Ah, babies....now I get to enjoy other people's babies. ;) Even fictional JAM babies....

This is just so sweet and soft and pretty and captures a real fear that parents must have. I also think snuggling a baby in the crook of your neck is about the best feeling in the world. Thanks for this story!
Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
