How wonderful to have you back, VB!  This is a story that never fully leaves my mind.  So glad for this happy update with such touching little details.

Love this story! I think I read up to the part where they first see Jim's mum and then lost track so I've just finished rereading the whole thing and love it. Having spent a lot of time in hospitals myself (although not so much in cardiac) with a cousin who had leukemia the detail is amazing.

About your Aussie slang, I'm one myself and while I've never used fair dinkum or seppo I probably might when talking to someone from overseas, we love to tease! And I have used drongo it's a great word :)

As for another reviewer, 'within cooee' I think is much more common than some of the slang you've left in! Yes it's a call to alert people to your location and to be within cooee is to be within an area where you could here a cooee call.

Glad to hear you had a great time in Oz, always nice to hear a glowing review of my country :) unfortunately even we have our rotten apples but we do try to keep up our friendly reputation.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much.  I think Steve, my Internet Travel Agent Extraordinaire (I actually had a pencil holder with a map of Australia & that title made as a thank you gift for him) was really, REALLY into teasing the dumb seppo.  He actually tried to tell me this story about "shooers" on the Harbor Bridge moving all the 'roos off the bridge at lunch time.  AND MR. BLOOD BELIEVED HIM!!!   (I commissioned a little cartoon of that for Steve, too, and framed it!)

Yep, the Australian sense of humor is broad and bawdy; it was one of the things I enjoyed most in your country.  I was IN MOURNING when I had to get on the plane to depart.  I'd go back in a minute!

Thanks for leaving the review!  Hope to hear from you again.

Yay! It's aliive! Can I admit that my Dad got very ill over the holidays and was in the ICU for 2 weeks? I seriously used stuff from this story (the taking notes, business cards, checking with the nurses if they needed anything) every day to maintain my sanity. So glad to see another chapter.

Author's Response:

Crytalized, that actually brought tears to my eyes.  I'm so glad to hear my little story was helpful for somebody in real life.  Is your dad ok now?

Wow, glad to see an update of this story! Loved this chapter :) So glad Jim's life is looking up and the medical stuff was hilarious! Can't wait to read the rest!

Author's Response: Hey, JITC!  Thanks for the feedback.  I have to mark my calendar!  I think this is the first time you liked any of the medical stuff!  :-)

I just sat in my bedroom and read this story from the very beginning, and I have to say, it is one of the best I have EVER read. Seriously. I love Pam being the one to comfort Jim stories, and in this situation, I think you're writing them SO well. Please, please, PLEASE update soon!! :)

Author's Response: Thanks, stjoe!  That is really nice of you to say.  I'll update as soon as I can.

Glad you picked this story back up. I had been wondering if it was going to be completed. This was a wonderful, sweet chapter. I look forward to reading the conclusion.

Author's Response:

Oh we have many chapters before the conclusion!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a note.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! Awesome chapter, as always. During your hiatus I think I've reread Chapter 23 about 100 times. Please find it in your heart to give us another update soon!

Author's Response:

You're welcome!  I'll try my best ...

P.S.  I'm kinda partial to "She Felt Whole" too.

I literally shouted "yeah" when I saw this.  I swear yesterday I was thinking and hoping you would come back.  I am so happy and can't wait for more.  It seems like Pam is stepping it up alittle.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much!  That brought a smile to my face!  I really have been thinking, outlining, drafting off and on for the past few months.  I'm hoping to post things fairly promptly.  Nothing like when I was home with the itchy face but not at a glacial pace, either.

I really appreciate the feedback!

YAY!  New Cardiac Care!!

Hot food is comfort food.  I thought everyone knew that.  Nice touch, BTW.  Pam can tell Jim's mood even from the back of his neck.

So glad you're back, VB.   Nicely done.

Author's Response: Thanks, lisahoo!  I'm glad to be back!

You;re back! Thank goodness!
Another wonderful chapter. So happy to see that things are finally looking up on all fronts (but will it stick?). The 'ejaculation fraction' joke made me laugh out loud. Poor Jim. He was doing so well! LOL
Looking forward to another update!

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I'm glad you liked the ejaculation fraction joke.  I hope to get the next chapter up before too much time passes.

Thanks very much for taking the time to review!

hey there, I hope things are going well for you. Am so missing new chapters on this story.
If you can, please, please PLEASE update soon.
thanks

Author's Response:

Hi,airjorg!

Thanks so much for leaving me a little nudge.  Things are going well for me and, as I've mentioned in the past couple of posts, I have started to work on this story again.  I'm not writing in order, though.  I'm writing as scenes become clear in my mind.  I do hope to have a couple of chapters up before the end of the month.

It's so nice to know anyone out there still is interested in this story.  I appreciate your taking the time!

Author's Response:

You got your name!  Yay.

Thank you for registering so you could leave a reveiw!  Like I said in the email, I am writing again.  We'll pick up with Saturday morning soon, I hope.

Never, ever ever give up...writing this story! I'm so anxious to read more and see them pretending to be married!!!!!!!!!

I just read this entire story again tonight and its my favorite EVER! I know you're busy now, VB-- but please don't give up on this story! I'll be here waiting patiently!

Author's Response: Man, I missed your review, too!  I am writing again, so I hope you're still out there waiting patiently!

I loove this story so far! I've been following it for a while and waiting so patiently for the next chapter. Keep up the great work!

Author's Response:

Thanks, Lauren7891!  I'm starting to twiddle with ideas for the rest of the story.  Really not planning to let the story just die.  Hope to start posting soon-ish.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a note!

I keep checking in and hoping new chapters will have been added to this - I love, love, love this story!

Author's Response: Hi, Gorkerina!  Thanks for the little nudge.  Now that I've finished Gifts, I am starting to think about Cardiac Care again.  I am doing some database development for Project Peanut Butter right now (If you've read my comments on Gifts, you know what I'm talking about) and that's taking priority right now.  Soon, I hope!

Hope everything is going ok for you! I miss this, and Gifts, and hope you are able to write more soon! This is one of my favorite WIPs:)

Author's Response: Hi, tdmk!  Somehow I missed this comment.  Thanks for leaving a little reminder.  I will get back to it soon.  You know I did finally finish Gifts.  I guess writers like me are the reason some people refuse to read WIPs!  Thanks for keeping up with mine.

I just read this in one sitting and now I can't decide if I want you to write this chapter next or the "Gifts" chapter next. LOL
Both, please.
I'm really curious as to how Karen is going to react to this whole thing, and how Jim will react to her reaction. Plus, I really like the "strong" Pam.

I'm really looking forward to your next chapters. When are you going to update the story?

Author's Response:

A couple of weeks ago I started writing Gifts, which was supposed to be a one-shot.  Then it grew to a couple of chapters ... now it's up to five.  I think I'll have it wrapped up in another couple of chapters and then I'll return to Cardiac Care

Thanks a lot for taking a moment to leave a review.  I really appreciate it.
