This was so sweet - I loved Pam's "I'm tired of not having sex with you" while her mother was sitting right there.

Author's Response: yayyyy! i bet there was also some post-hospital pill use that gave jim some funny stories. i think pam has a super-low tolerance. maybe i need to explore this further. pam w/an epidural while giving birth? pam on new years after a bottle of champagne? hmm...

Dropping her voice to what she assumed was quieter, she told him what various things they’d missed out on. He blushed. “You are… a mess on drugs.”

Author's Response: i once heard a playwright discuss how he formed ideas and he said he tried to fill a void. he didn't need to write a play about a danish king w/an oedipal complex or a suicidal traveling salesman. when i write i try to consider myself a void-filler. yes, i've written my fair share of post-the job fics, but i try to find a spot and take a different route. thanks for commenting! it was great fun to write.

Author's Response: isn't that interview so classic? maybe i love the rainn/angela one better ("this is my impersonation of rainn: what do you want. get me a coke"), but i just think they're so cute! ("do a trailer for season four!" "i can't, but i will. chow yun fat is jesus.") i watched that video a dozen times, but it suddenly clicked for me as something fic-worthy. and then i rejoiced :)

So cute to tie in real life occurrences with the show. ♥ Really loved this, lovely piece! And it also explains Jim's "we took this slow" line to Michael [which I really loved him more for].
Author's Response: welllll i'll tell you where it started, all of this hullaballoo about writing angela kinsey's pregnancy into the show. i started thinking about other things, john's haircut for instance. but jenna's back stuff was not written in, in part b/c she was doing well enough that it didn't have to be included - but it made me think. plus it had adorable, jim as nursemaid implications. oh i love that part too. sometimes jim can be very kind to michael; i love those moments. thanks for the feedback!
