ok, not as happy, but hey, she's moving he stuff into his apartment and he's so freaking giddy about it -- and he catches her admiring her ring -- great detail and insight into what Jim might secretly be thinking but is too proud to admit. (That's the beauty of fanfic, ain't it?)
Author's Response: Yes, that is the beauty of fanfic! I'm glad you liked it. I was actually going to end it in a big ball of angst but the happier version wanted to be told more. Glad you liked it. Thanks for reviewing :)

Pitch perfect voice! I got a great chuckle out of this:
I’ll ball your melons, mister
And I love the "late bloomers" exchange at the end! Lovely chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks VB! Very glad to know the voice rang true. I'm glad you liked it :)

Nice, both chapters are really great. I love when writers choose to acknowledge that Jim is a pretty fucked up guy sometimes. I also love when he knows it too.
Author's Response: Thanks. I have to think Jim's pretty self-aware, even if he doesn't always know what to do. Glad you enjoyed it. :)

Okay, first of all: I love the "second" game that they play, and you describe it beautifully: "But after that, there was the other game, the one where we admitted all our secrets, laid ourselves bare and open. Things like “when did you first…?” and “do you remember…?” and “would you still love me if…?” Teasing confessions that mostly took place in bed, when all defenses were down and any and all subjects open to exploration."
That's something I really see them doing, because for such a long time all those things went unsaid.
I also love their banter here; I found myself sitting here grinning from ear-to-ear as I read it. (Dear god, is it September yet???)
This: “You are a cover hog. A blanket thief” made me laugh right out loud; I can so hear Jim saying this. :o)
Your description of Pam's relationship with Roy rang so true to me; I can really see it dissolving in exactly the way you described.
And finally, I thought this sentence was just brilliant in its insight (and beautifully articulated): "So when I met Jim, it was almost like I rediscovered my own existence."
This was just a lovely treat to read late on a Tuesday afternoon -- so terrific! And how excited am I that there are more chapters to come?!
Author's Response: Well I'm glad you liked it! I was thinking how the humor in their relationship would affect the way they tell each other things that otherwise might become an argument, and this was what came out. Thanks so much for all the specific comments --it's really helpful to know which bits stick out to the reader (and whether or not they're any of the same ones that stick out to me when I'm writing it). Thanks for such a great review from one of my favorite authors... your stories were what first got me addicted to this site!

Eeeeeeeee! That's honestly the sound that just squealed out of me. Love it! I love the idea that they're so comfortable with each other and being together that they can have these kind of conversations without it turning into a fight. I especially enjoyed the fact that they aren't perfect. Great work!
Author's Response: Thanks bebitched! I love to think how they'd tease and mock each other about all their imperfections, and I had so much fun writing this. Glad you liked it. Thanks for reading!

Aww. This was all kinds of lovely. Very in character and delightful to read.
“What else?” he ventured, interrupting my thoughts with a playful little smile.
“Hmm?” I looked up. “What?”
I love how Pam gets caught up in her own thoughts just before this, and how you make those thoughts so compelling that just like Pam I was thinking, "Hmm? What?" when Jim began to speak.
Nicely done.
Author's Response: Thank you... 'lovely' is such a nice compliment. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading and leaving your thoughts. :)

Great chapter! I'm excited there will be more of these. This was so adorable and couply (I definitely play that game with Mr. Dundie All-Star), and I liked her reflections on Roy as well. And the surprise at the end with them already being engaged! Yay! That made me smile. Awesome job!
Author's Response: Thanks!! I'm glad you like it. I had a few different conversations just pop into my head and (surprise, surprise) they all took place in bed, so, what better way to spend the summer than writing those down...? Thanks for reading, and stay tuned, I have at least three more. :)

Oh how fun is this! The lighthearted tone they have with one another even while getting into touchy territory is so realistic I think for how these kinds of issues would reveal themselves in the Jim Pam dynamic. My fave line was probably when Pam said he had the ability to make her feel like a sex goddess and a little girl --- that's pretty much what every woman wants, yes? Jim has found the key to success!
Author's Response: Thank you LoveFool! This was so fun to write. I like to think their humor will pervade all their conversations, even the serious ones... maybe even especially the serious ones. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for your thoughts, it's great to get such positive feedback. :D

callisto -- never, ever change. And please feel free to entertain like this through the summer. Since there is only one Jim and Pam has him. Even if she is going off to NYC. Lucky gal.
Author's Response: Hey lisahoo, good to hear from you. Would that we all could have a Jim. I have a few more of these in the works, hope you like them! As always, thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts. :)

What a lovely start. I think you did a great job describing Pam's feelings for Jim at the beginning of their friendship especially this part: It’s no wonder I became addicted to his relentless efforts to make me smile.
The word "addicted" definitely fits the Pam we saw. What I also liked is how I was able to follow the dialogue between the two of them. Many times, when I read a fanfic I cannot follow who is talking. Here, you have done a great job of weaving realistic conversation w/ character descriptions. I am looking forward to reading more.
Author's Response: Thanks Alamos! I appreciate all the nice remarks. And I'm glad you liked that particular line, because...I almost cut it out. :D Thanks for reading and letting me know what you thought, I appreciate the feedback!

Delightfully fluffy and sweet. Great job getting inside Pam's head and analysing her relationship with Roy vs. her relationship with Jim. Their conversations made me smile. Cant wait for more.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! I've wondered how much Pam compares the two. Thanks for reading and taking the time to let me know what you thought. More to come...
