AHHH, so beautiful. How is it that you read my mind some odd time ago and had JIM COME MEET PAM AT THE AIRPORT??? You are a genius beyond words and I think I'm in love with you.
Thank you for writing this piece of perfection. *sighs contentedly*

Oh my goodness, I was just going to ever-so-sneakily turn to the next chapter but that last line did me in. I just had to leave you a review - this is so good! Carol is such a wonderful mother and great idea for the story. I always love reading about Pam not going through with the wedding to Roy, and how she calls it off right at the church. Thanks for coming up with this idea and writing three chapters about it. I love long stories! I can't wait to read the next chapter, this is going to be good no matter what!

That was beautiful. Loved, loved Jim waiting there at the bottom of the escalator. And I heart Mrs. Beesly so much for being there for Pam.
Thanks for a great story!

This story was so great. Stopping a wedding must be extremely difficult and I can hardly imagine it being done, but you pulled it off. Then Pam's running to Australia was the perfect move for her. She's right - a grand gesture is indeed what was needed. The prefection continued with Pam's mother being so intuitive (I want to be Mother Beesly), the immediate phone calls to Jim, and finally, Jim's meeting her at the airport. I have tears in my eyes because what you did is the way to do it. Jim does indeed rescue her after all. Keep the good work coming.

Ooops. Hit "enter" too quickly on that last review. Sorry.
I wanted to say that I almost didn't finish this. Pam is basically panicking because her own decisions have led her to a place she didn't want to be; I can't work up a lot of sympathy for someone so spineless she can't even recognize her own feelings. However, the last line of this section had me almost ROFL! I love it! It's so DWIGHT.
If I were to rewrite this, I would seriously shorten the introspection on Pam's part and give us a really good reason for her continuing the engagement right up to the wedding itself, something better than mere inertia.
Good luck!

Yay for the happy ending! I'm a big fan of Pam-running-off-to-Australia stories.

Well, the "real" Pam is still making baby steps, but I love the bold Pam you've created here. And also Mama Beesly, my favorite fanfic creation. :) Wonderful, wonderful resolution.

Aw, that was a lovely story. And I loved the ending, him standing there looking all shy and nervous. :) Very sweet!

When she was coming down the escalator and he was just there, that was awesome. I had to read that part several times. Good job!

I never get tired of a happy ending. Ha, a couple things here made me wonder at first -- Jim waiting for her at the airport? And then suddenly, I was like, "Her mom called him!!!" (and I screamed that aloud because I was so excited) and I was really amused by the fact that not only her mom, but Kelly and Phyllis called, too.
I also like the detail about the passport; I never thought about that when I was writing mine. It totally makes sense for Pam to do something like that.
This was sweet.

So sweet! Wouldn't it be lovely if something like this is the summer backstory? Although, if it is, I don't think they'll tell us all at once.

Yes! Pam's mom owns. I'm so proud of Pam. I only hope that we'll see bravery from her on Thursday. And if not, I'll just come back here and read this until the tears subside. =D I can't wait for the next chapter!

Tee hee! I've never read any stories where Pam fakes fainting before! The last line of the chapter is hilarious.
Also, Jim will laugh so hard when she tells him about this!
