That was perfect! You totally captured that emotion we see at the end of The Job and turned it such a beautiful and romantic story. Just amazing...

This was so beautifully romantic. And Jim saying “This may be the greatest morning ever.” made my heart smile. Awesome job!

Oh my! That was simply beautiful. I love how you make us feel their emotions, in the last story and this one. It's like I feel everything they are feeling. Your writing is fantastic, and I hope you post much more here. Thanks.

What a beautiful written story. The description of Pam's emotions and love for Jim are so vivid, alive and full of wonderful images. And the title is so fitting for this story.
I think this sums up Jim's feelings perfectly: He knew she was teasing, but he couldn’t resist the sincere tone of his answer. “I’ve wanted you for years.” Even though this story is more about Pam than Jim, this line / part does a great job of telling Jim's longing for Pam -- simple, true and full of emotion.

she shared his heat and his breath and believed in miracles with all of her heart.
This comment would get ridiculously long if I quoted back every turn of phrase that I loved in this story. Seriously, this is gorgeous. The imagery is sumptuous without being melodramatic. It's rich and full while still feeling real and in-character. I'm sort of gobsmacked, actually. Beautiful.

Coffevixen, you've done it again. Simply beautiful writing here, so descriptive, so evocative. I love these introspective glimpses like you've shown us here. Excellent work! Hope to see much, much more from you!

Coffeevixen, welcome to my favorites list--you and this story. I'm quite taken by that image of Pam, too. She looks radiant, and that's how I picture her here. If I were to quote my favorite passages, I would just be copying the whole story. Let me just mention the cream of the crop for me:
... the mirrorballs each tear formed at the end of her lashes... Such a lovely visual
And the she laughed, quiet and easy, because she’d never been quite so philosophically sanguine before. Even thinking “philosophically sanguine” was new…yesterday she would have just thought of it as “mushy.” Perfect Pam.
His finger lightly traced a path from just above her eyebrow down past her temple, following the curve of her cheek under her chin, continuing along the soft column of her throat, before stopping with the heal of his hand hovering over her heart. He pressed his palm down and his smile widened when he felt the beat increase at his touch. Lord, that's beautiful!
He knew she was teasing, but he couldn’t resist the sincere tone of his answer. “I’ve wanted you for years.” *thud*
You managed to convey so much without being graphic (not that I mind graphic).
I know I'll keep coming back to this today and in the future. Thanks for sharing.

This was truly beautiful, coffeevixen! I love so many things this fic chooses to be, but this in particular:
She lifted her lips to his, and felt white heat and heard twinkling bells and smelled an ocean breeze, and lived in an instant everything else she’d ever associated with heaven.
And I love the comparison to Christmas and birthdays - how true.
Really great work.
