It's adorable, and also a little bit sad, that they're trying to re-connect on this light, teasing level when there is so much more they have to deal with. So realistic- I love it. Yay for Pam day, indeed!
Author's Response: I agree, and I think it rings most true to them that they do so. My feeling is that they both are desperate for the reconnection, but don't want to rock the boat in any way. But I don't think it's going to stay like that for ever. I'm hoping Pam's going to surprise us all. :-)

I love the tone you're using for Jim here. He's calm, he's realistic, he's trying to move on, but he still loves her. So, so good.

Author's Response: Oh, I also believe that Jim has always been the more mature (less self-centered?) of the two. I'm hoping that Pam learns to be more like Jim over the course of the story.
