Wow! I really, really like this. First of all, it's really fun to see their first months together in flashbacks through Pam's eyes, very different. I also really enjoyed your detail and observations of their past. The Jim in Stamford chapter was especially moving, I like how you wrote that time for him as still very Pam centric even through his time getting to know Karen.
But it's so nice how you can seamlessly transition back to the present and have a whole new storyline. The conversation between Jim and Pam in the present time, about his career and who he is, was so great I love that his insecurities came out more while he was drunk and found it interesting that it was prompted by Karen. The Mark chapter was really cute too, I enjoyed your version of him.
Very well done, I'm sad that it wasn't completed.

I really love Pam and Mark's interaction. It's always nice to get a third-party's view on a relationship.
And I really love the phone convo between Jim and Pam. I like Pam getting giddy over Jim's mention of kids (which could be interpreted into the royal "our" - i.e. his and hers - but we, of course, know that's not really what he meant), but not saying anything. I'm just really enjoying this piece.

Really solid chapter, Slow Type. I was sorry to see it end. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice to have a Pam/Mark interaction.
This is just beautiful: There had been a few times in the darkness of the middle of the night when she felt Jim’s tentative hand from the other side of the bed search her out. It roused her out of sleep as it sought confirmation of her presence. She didn’t mind. It was nice to feel so loved. She would reassuringly grab the hand and pull him close to her. She would stay awake until she felt his body slacken against her and his breathing go shallow again. It was in moments like that she felt powerful and special. It was also in those moments when she realized how different her life could have been.
And Pam's strong reaction to Jim's casual reference to their children was so touching.
It's a pleasure to "stick with" this. Looking forward to your next chapter.
