This is simply amazing - just amazing. Jim's "as you wish" when he let go of her hands....guh. And their goodbye was also so bittersweet. You are AWESOME. You have yet to write something that doesn't just either hit me hard in the gut or make me squee with delight. Can't wait for the rest of this!
Author's Response: Rock on, thanks, girl7!

So cute! I love the girl and the grandpa (Ryan?) and since Princess Bride is like the awesomest movie (and book) ever...yeah, this rocks.

Wow I love this and how you it wrote it ina Princess Bride fashion.
Author's Response: Thanks, gotkona! It helps that I just watched Princess Bride in order to map the story. So it's still fresh :)

Wow, I really really love this already, and I'm pleasantly surprised at how well the two stories mesh together! And describing Pam as a sneaky kind of pretty. Wow, I can't even review coherently, just know that it's great!
Author's Response: Ha, thanks, pennylane! I wasn't sure at first where I was going to begin the story, till I remembered PB starts with a kiss - then it was obvious :)

You have managed to meld the styles of The Office and The Princess Bride perfectly together. I am just so impressed. This is shaping up to be a wonderful, wonderful story! :)
Author's Response: Thanks, Gen! :)

OK. You manage to have the tone of the show, and the tone of the book/movie down perfectly. How do you do that? This is sooo wonderful already.
Author's Response: Thanks, Lis! I'm glad it sounds right both ways. :)

I love you. This was fantastic! The way you work in the little breaks works so well--loved the one about how Pam was crazy to turn Jim down twice.
And even just seeing Jim say "As you wish" gave me the shivers :)
Author's Response: Glad you like those breaks! I know a few gals who'd like to hear Jim say that on the show. Thanks, yippee :)

OMG. I did not think it was possible to love this story more.
But I think I just might. :)
It's off to a most spectacular start.

The "As you wish" after the kiss: it truly sums up Jim's attitude there (I never would have thought the two stories would mesh so perfectly!). I think you've precisely captured what he really meant by his "ok:" that he truly cares about Pam's happiness more than his own.
Author's Response: When I rewatched the kiss and the okay, I saw his little smile (hadn't seen that the first time), and realized the same thing: "As you wish." Thanks, neptune! ;)

It's times like this that I really wish I'd seen The Princess Bride. I think I'll rent it this weekend finally. Will I get this story until then?
Author's Response: Oh, yeah, you'll get it, but it'll mean A LOT more if you watch or read Princess Bride. Which you should do, because it rocks tube socks. Thanks, Luna ;)
