aww! how precious! i love the idea that Jim is the best cheerleader for her, and even when that's not exactly enough, it's still absolutely everything. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, it's great that Pam finally has someone that supports her, even if he doesn't necessarily understand. :)

I LOVE THIS! why haven't i been reading it sooner? i don't know. but i love how you captured this moment perfectly. b/c i love you would be a big deal with them. and i just love your take on it. *sigh* saying it in unison is just... the freaking sweetest :)
Author's Response: Well gracias! I'm not sure why you didn't read sooner but I'm glad you're enjoying it now! Thanks for all your kind words!

I love these. It's like what I would imagine reading a script would be like, are you sure you don't write for the show? Please keep it up, I love love love this!
Author's Response: Well thank you - that's a mighty fine compliment! And I just checked my bank balance - it confirms I most assuredly don't work for the show. ;) Thanks again!

Another great chapter. I can definitely seeing Jim not being able to contain himself, after waiting all those Valentines Days to finally get to give her stuff. And very funny now that she knows how Roy felt.
Most excellent line:
“I’ll try to be a less amazing boyfriend from now on,”
Well done.
Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, our Jim went over the top - rookie mistake. ;) Glad you enjoyed it!

Wow, this was amazing!! I should've known you would exceed my expectations for a V-Day story, but man, you really took our ideas and ran with them!! I loved all the detail you put into this, and especially liked the use of the screencap to show that, yes, she does have a silver heart-shaped necklace that could have been given to her on Valentines Day. And I just loved all the choices you made in terms of whose POV to tell the story from and who would go over the top with their gift; usually it would be a girl who thinks of all that stuff, but of course in this case it would be Jim. Very believable. Anywho, fantastic installment of the Jim and Pam Crap Stories. :D
Author's Response: Well thank you Co-QP! You guys most definitely deserve the points on this. The second I saw her necklace I was like WHOWHATWHENWHERWHY????? ;) And yeah, you know Jim...sappy girl at heart. :) Thanks as always for reading Jim Pam Blah Blah Blah Crap! :D

So cute! I love that he went all out for her and all the sweet things he found. So perfect for them, especially keeping it quiet.
Author's Response: Thank you! Having planned the whole thing I gotta say props to Jim; that's a lot of work! :D

Hi there! I've been following this story since the beginning, but I just figured out how to send reviews (sometimes I'm kind of slow). Anyway, I've really been enjoying this story, and especially this chapter. Pam's locket caught my attention last episode too, and I thought Jim probably bought it for her. Thanks for sharing the story behind it!
Author's Response: Well thanks a lot! Glad you're digging it! I did the same thing upon spotting THE necklace...and this story was born. :)

Little Comment, I am a complete and total sap for Valentine's Day--always have been, always will be. This fic, you must know then, totally works for me--big time. If I can't see their first Valentine's Day, then reading your rendition is the next best thing. I can so feel for Pam. Her gift was just adorable and so appropriate, but she had to have known that Jim would want to make a big deal out of their first Valentine's Day as a couple. So happy that you worked in the locket--and in such a perfect way, and I know just the candies you're talking about :)
In closing, you are so great. Don't disappear again, OK?
Author's Response: Aw, thanks buddy! I have sort of gone missing again but don't fret; I have a plan in mind... ;) Glad you liked this one - I love Valentine's Day too, although Mr. C and I never make much of a big deal. Maybe I lived vicariously...? ;) Thanks again!

Hee: I’ll try to be a less amazing boyfriend from now on
And yeah, V-Day is one of those 'damned if you do' kind of situations. *sigh*
Author's Response: Exactly. And I'm glad you liked that lie - I think it was the clear winner this round. ;)

Um, hi. I can't count the number of things I love about this chapter. First of all, you used the phrase "epic fail" which is actually an epic win. Second of all, that restaurant and B and B look AMAZING and I kind of wish I lived in PA right now. Thirdly, Jim's zealous attitude towards the holiday to make up for not being able to celebrate it with her for years is totally spot on, as is Pam's hesitance and fed upedness (what? it's totally a word). Anyway, I'm rambling. SO MUCH LOVE. Well done :D
Author's Response: Thanks friend! I know - I'm a bit envious of Pam here, and for once NOT simply because she's with Jim! ;) Glad you liked it and gracias as always!

Aaah LC you're back :) I can hardly complain about your absence since my Jim/Pam muse seems to be taking an extended vacation. Anyways I'm so glad to see you back! This is, as always, awesome and fun and funny and totally in character. It feels real this, Jim going a little over the top for their first valentine's day and Pam freaking out a little bit about that. Wonderful :)

Finally, the origin of the heart necklace! Until otherwise confirmed on the show, I'll take this as canon. I've missed this story -- I was just thinking the other day of how it's been a while between updates. (Maybe if I stopped thinking about fanfic so much, I'd be more productive in my actual life. Nah.) And anything with Jim, Pam and Ralph Wiggum is an automatic 10 in my book, so great chapter. You know Jim totally went overboard their first V-Day (and birthday, Christmas, etc.), so this is very fitting. I'm lucky if I can get my husband to call and make a reservation. :-) He's not so bad, though.
Author's Response: Ooo, I made canon! WOW! Thanks a lot! I'm really glad you liked this and I always love your fun, funNY reviews. :)

I really liked this chapter for all kinds of reasons.
- Mr. Blood had the same problem with me on our first Christmas. I had a WALL FULL of presents for him and he had like three for me. He was totally pissed, leaving me totally perplexed. I mean, who doesn't love loot?
- I like how you turn the Valentine's Day we saw on its head. Roy was just following the rules and he did have something nice for her at home. Totally different than the perception the ep gave us. Cool twist.
- I like how Pam & Jim resolve the issue at the end.
- Great line: “I’ll try to be a less amazing boyfriend from now."
Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, I've been in Pam's shoes (and Mr. Blood's) too. Ain't fun. And I'm glad you enjoyed the flipping of roles! This was a fun one to write, so I'm happy you liked it! :)

“Don’t do that – that can’t be a safe place to hide right now,”
THAT.. is priceless...lol.. I love these stories, but this one, so far, is my favorite (that fight one was really good too, but my back locked up from all the cringing : ). Really great reading!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm really glad you're enjoying my little collection.

I get where you're coming from. Pam doesn't really give off "city girl."
Amazing, as usual. :D
Author's Response: Aw, thanks. Yeah, Pam's not a city girl and she's never epitomized the stereotypical "art girl" either, so...there you go. :)

I really enjoyed this, and agree with your opinion about Pam's return. It's hard to remember most of the time that the virtue isn't succeeding, but trying in the first place. There is no shame in pursuing something and then finding out that for whatever reason it isn't for you. That's how you find out what IS for you. Anyway, I really like this series of Jim and Pam snapshots.:)
Author's Response: Thanks a lot! You're right - there's no shame in failure if you've tried, and Pam just doesn't fit a certain mold. She'll be okay, though. :)

Oh that was so, so right. Especially knowing what we know now about Pam's experience in New York and how it might've been great...but not soooooo great. lol. I think you painted a very realistic picture here (no pun intended, I promise. lol)
Author's Response: Thanks a lot! And hey, I appreciate puns. :) I think Pam would've loved the fact that she finally got to experience everything, but was also still feeling a little out of place. Really glad you enjoyed it! :)

God I loved it :) just the thought of him on her bed reding, just wanting to be close ;)
Author's Response: Thank you! :)

Very nice!! What a wonderful look into their time in NY. I loved all the details you included in this about all the people Pam was meeting and all the things she was experiencing, and how all of it attributed to Jim's lowered self-esteem. The story line really flowed well because of those small mentions of clubs she'd heard of and stuff, and then way to bring it back at the end and show that she's still the small-town girl she's always been. Loved your take on Alex as well. Non-threatening, amicable, and just the slightest hint of awkward. I
Author's Response: Thanks, buddy! Yeah, I can see them both feeling a little out of sorts during that whole experience, and even though I think Pam enjoyed herself, it wasn't what she wanted for good. And I'm glad you liked "my" Alex...he gets a bad rap, but he was her buddy, not a threat. Thank you as always!

Yes. They are totally that couple that prefers quiet nights in as opposed to crazy New York bars. Jim's insecurity, Pam trying to fit in, and eventually finding reassurance in each other? Classic. Well done, as usual :)
Author's Response: Thanks, friend! I'm happy you liked it, and what you said was pretty much exactly what I was trying to get across so...thank you! :)

LC, you, like Jim, sell yourself short. Each chap of this story gives us a little something different, another little glimpse. I see Pam and Jim trying to branch out a bit but feeling most comfortable just being together. I like that, despite his discomfort, Jim wants Pam to be happy and wants to experience different things with her. I like that your Alex wasn't too pushy, your Jim, not too insecure and your Pam, not too secure. Great job, as always.
Author's Response: Why thanks, pal. I appreciate that and I'm really glad this one worked for you. I tried to keep everyone in balance with who (I think) they are, and what they are is...average, you know? Not too fancy, not too ambitious, not too anything, really. Thank you, as always! :)
Date: January 15, 2009 07:17 am Title: Flashes Of Mediocrity
This may be my favorite chapter yet and the title is perfect. No serious ambition, and they're happy about it. *laughs*
Author's Response: Thank you...I think that's just an inherent characteristic of Pim: that they have ambitions, but not lofty ones, and are okay being...average. Especially Jim. :) Glad you liked it!
Date: January 12, 2009 09:16 pm Title: Jimmy Says It's Fine - He Don't Consider It Cheating Now
Oh this is all the banter that I love! Never a false note here with all the tit for tit <dwight> they were giving each other. I loved Pam's choices, and I love that it was Indiana Jones and NOT Harrison Ford and how it was the end of the discussion. lol. Also...I loved that Jim thought Natalie Portman was "not hideous".
And now I will end this ridiculous non-review.
Author's Response: Not at all ridiculous - I loved it! :) Thanks a lot - I'm glad you liked the goofiness. And come on, who WOULDN'T do Indy? Seriously!
