"'I’ve just realized that, hypothetically, you’re kind of a slut, Pam—OW! Hey!'"
Of course you were able to pull off this format amazingly, silly. Like anyone doubted you could. :D
That was so funny, I love that a lot of these aren't too serious, because sometimes that tends to cross the line into the "overdone" section.
And yes, my free pass list would include Paul Rudd and Hugh Laurie, as well as Conan O'Brien. He's adorable. So touche, Ms. Beesly.
Oh, and sure, Jim and Pam might think it's lame, but I love Clueless. And I bet deep down Pam does, too.
Author's Response: Aw, well thank you! I'm trying to examine any and everything that happens in any relationship - the good and bad, silly and serious. As for Clueless...well, I thnk you're right about Pam. :) (Great free pass list, by the way!)

LMAO that was excellent. So perfectly them :) I love reading your fics xx
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm glad you're having fun. :)

ha ha, I don't like brad pitt either (:
Author's Response: He's not everyone's cup of tea. :)

CUTE! But I think there must have been a typo there...Clueless is one of the BEST movies ever made, not one of the worst. However, because of the adorable fluffiness, I shall forgive this egregious (sp?) error. Carry on with this fun procrastination-enabler please!
Author's Response: Well, you know Jim...he's too cool for school sometimes. Glad you could see past his mistake and like this anyway. ;)

Heh. The conversation every couple has to have. And for some reason is it easier for the women to declare that they'd have their way with certain hot men than the other way around.
Sexual Revolution! Woo!
Author's Response: It DOES seem to go that way, doesn't it? I approve of Mr. C's list, minus a few...I just can't get on board with Scarlett Johanssen. And I'm sure I spelled that wrong. But he lets me be a bit boy crazy, so I try and cut him slack. :)

Oh, this was a fun read. And also, JK is the only person on my list. Now all I need to do is run into him at a coffee shop somewhere... hmm....
Author's Response: Thanks! You have a LOT more restraint than I do with a list that's only one guy long, Emily! Kudos! ;)

Adorable! You did the dialog-only format justice, my friend :D And Pam has some good picks: Hugh Laurie, Paul Rudd...oh yes. Wonderful job!
Author's Response: Aw, thanks friend! You guys are clearly the best, but your thumbs up is pretty darn flattering. And yes, I too approve of some of ol' Pammy's choices too...she's got decent taste. ;)

::smort::
Niiice. :D
For the record, I think you do it just fine. You took your time and didn't rush things, you let it happen naturally, and it was totally worth it at the end. (buncha freebies there for ya.)
Author's Response: Ooo, I got a smort from Mose. Job well done, me. ;) And yeah, you just made it way too easy here. ;)

Heh. Very sweet. And I enjoy that Pam includes a fictional character. Because while I may be slightly obsessed with Jim Halpert, JKras doesn't really do it for me. Another excellent chapter!
Author's Response: Now see, nqllisi, I'm the opposite - I'd take Krasinksi over Halpert anyday. But tomato, tomahto. ;) Thanks a lot! :)

Excellent idea, LC. This was delightful--a nice balance to the last chap. Pam and I have similar taste :) Let me tell you again, since it bears repeating, that you are so good at this.
Author's Response: That's what she said! THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! /Pam. Ahem. Thanks, buddy! Pam's got pretty good taste, I agree, although some of her choices are better than others. (Despite what I bet EVERYONE thinks, no, this is NOT just a rip-off of my free pass list). :)

Very cute, Little Comment. I thought it was funny when Pam compared Conan's characteristics to Jim, and her going for the character Indy rather than the actor. And I can totally see Jim liking Natalie Portman.
Hugh Laurie? No Pam, just No.
Thanks for the Monday am smile, LC.
Author's Response: Thanks jazzfan! Glad you liked it and it gave you a grin (TWSS!). ;) I've always thought Pam was a House fan, and Hugh is very appealing in his dickitude on that show... :)

Fabulous job!! I loved the format you used for this (shout out to Mose and Wendy Blue for the inspiration); it's a format that really works for them, just because their back-and-forth banter is so rapid-fire. These "..." were also a nice writing choice; your intention of what they were supposed to be doing came across very clearly; I could just picture their facial expressions in my head when I read those. Two thumbs way up!! :)
Author's Response: Thanks darling! I'm glad you thought this worked - it felt lazy on my part, but I tried to make sure there was at least a little substance. I was worried and unsure about the "..." usage, but your words reassure me that it was a good choice. Verbal pauses, yo! Thank you as always - you deserve THREE thumbs up! :D

Okay, so you and I must be on the same wavelength, 'cause Conan's totally on my list, too! There's just something about him. And also the fictional character Jim Halpert is probably at the top of said list, but I guess we shouldn't delve into my years-long, deep psychological issue of "listing" guys from TV shows. Fox Mulder, Michael Bluth, Jim, etc. It's a gross obsession. My husband understands, but his list contains Alyssa Milano (the Charmed years) and Jennifer Aniston, so I don't let him live those down, either. :-)But did I mention that I also have a rather unhealthy obsession for reading stories about certain fictional TV characters, so thanks for updating so soon!
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing so quickly! :) Yeah, I also love Conan, and when I gave it some thought I kind of thought Pam might too. And fictional characters...? They have a lot of appeal; what can I say? ;)

Definitely an important adventure. I love that Pam would do Conan.
Author's Response: Thank ya! I love it too, because c'mon, I know he may not LOOK like Jim, but... :)

I don't know if I've already commented on this chapter, but I'm re-reading it, because I think it's amazing.
This never fails to make me giggle.
“Enough to throw away the oars, forever?”
Oh, Drunk!Pam. You amaze me. And so do you, Little Comment!
Author's Response: Aw, thanks JamFan4! That's really sweet. I'm really glad you dug this bit of silliness. :)

This was such a lovely peek into Jim and Pam's life outside of D-M. Beautifully written and incredibly sweet. I loved every word.
Author's Response: Why thank you so much! That's really kind of you to say; I'm glad you liked it.

I love this! I've never seen anything bring up a subject like this before, but I could absolutely picture and feel Pam's realization that there would be another stone that said HALPERT with James on one side and Pamela on the other because that's how their live was going to go now. Beautiful!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Jenn! I'm happy you enjoyed it and thought it was original. I try to take new turns with our Pim and I'm glad you liked this!

I don't know what happened, but I didn't read this story until the other day. Wow. Now I know what all the buzz was about. What a great collection of shorts. I adore this. Please don't stop any time soon! Very beautiful, cute, happy, sad, and just plain great. Love it!
Author's Response: Well thank you, WhatAWaste - I'm really glad it didn't disappoint! I try to take a different approach with every story and I'm glad you're enjoying it. :)

Seriously, what is with all of the sad (yet totally beautiful and poignant) fanfic that's been updated in the last day or two?
I love this, and I love it a lot. I wish my grandpa was buried closer to me. Oh, wow.
Author's Response: I'm so happy you enjoyed this, Corking, although I'm sorry if I got the waterworks going. I try and alternate different emotions in these stories, and I guess this week's was a bit sad. Thank you so much!

Okay, can you do me a favor, LC? Write like 49 more chapters of this story, please? Honestly, I'm suffering from a sinus infection right now, and it's killing me to even look at the computer screen, but this has been one of the few things that's made me happy today. So please, more more more more more! Okay, now that I am officially a raving lunatic, just letting you know that I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter. Not that I haven't enjoyed the others -- I just always love seeing Jim as this family-type guy that we all know he is. So, yep. If I'm going to invest painful time at the computer, at least it's worth my while.
Author's Response: Well first off, I'm sorry you're feeling so icky! I can't promise 49 chapters, but I can promise this story is one I'm constantly thinking about. Thanks for the review and I hope you feel better soon!

I don't think I've ever read a moment like this for Jim and Pam, and I'm happy because I feel like you hit the exact right notes here. Everything from Pam immediately getting up and whipping her hair into a ponytail to Jim's need for banter at the cemetery.
The detail you leave on the page is fantastic. Going back to Pam's ponytail for a moment....her speaking to him with the hairband in her teeth, Jim's explaining about the tree that's decorated by another woman who visits her mom at the cemetery. The beauty is definitely in the detail here.
Thanks for this.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, LoveFool - I tried to keep this one rather quiet, with just small details, and I'm really happy you thought that worked. I really appreciate your ongoing support!

In its own way, I think that may have been one of the most romantic ideas I have ever heard. Wow.
Author's Response: Well thank you...that's kind of what I was going for. :)
