I don't know where to start as to what was my favourite part of this, but it was great. I love happy and sweet Jim and Pam. I love their banter; I love that they miss each other even when they're not apart for long; I love that they keep each other on their toes with surprise vows,... Very nice.
Author's Response: So pleased this kept you entertained! My last fic was angsty through and through, so it was nice to write something that ended on a positive note. (And since this isn't AU, I kind of had to, lol.) Thanks again, MA - much obliged!

That was sooooo utterly adorable I just want to squish both you and Jim :) That was the perfect ending, and I love how Pam just blurted it out about their kids having freckles aw.
I think next, you need to write a sexy fic where Jim gets reading glasses.... I don't know why, but I can see you writing a good one like that ;) No pressure ;) lol
Author's Response: First, glad you liked this final chapter. Second, I already gave Jim reading glasses...it's in one of the (sexier) chapters of a fic I wrote called 'Nights When the Northern Lights Perform' - if you feel like checking it out. Thanks, so much Hannah!

Simply delicious. That is all. Also, thank you.
Author's Response: You are very welcome...that is all. And thanks back at you, WalkInLove!

Perfect ending! Loved it. So much. Tied it all in a neat little bow. Great job!
Author's Response: And thank you again, JamJunkie14 - much appreciated!

I loved this chapter. Thanks for a really (not too sappy, at all) squee worthy chapter.
Author's Response: My pleasure. And thank you, JamJunkie14!

God, so beyond perfect. I am melting. I just want to get married in love and pop out a million freckled kids now. I'm going to miss this fic a lot but it was brilliant while it lasted =)
Author's Response: That's quite a compliment! This was a fun one to write (well, most of it, anyway) - so glad you enjoyed. Thanks, flonkerton for all your great feedback!

This is the perfect end to a perfect exploration of clusters of concentrated melanin.
You've made it infinitely more sexy than Wikipedia did. :) Congrats on that.
My favoritest parts: Pam picking various shades of green paint, soap on a rope, leaving the fucking out for the grandparents sake (that sounds weird but you know) slurry, anxious, in love Jim, things that don't qualify one as a virgin and Pam who can't help herself from talking about their kids and yes...freckles before she lets him go.
If I say any more I'll just quote the whole story so yeah. Safe to say I loved it about as much as Jim loves Pam.
Give or take. :)
Author's Response: Wiki makes everything sound so romantic, doesn't it? And I have to admit: I've always wanted to use the term soap-on-a-rope in a fic...it was oddly satisfying to finally find the right spot. (How's that for a TWSS?) Hooray for you liking this and for Jim loving Pam - and vice versa (despite her lack of t-shirt proclaiming it at every given moment;-) Thanks much, my friend!

this was great! How weird does it sound to say that each reference to 'creepy parental sex' cracked me up? weird or not, it did :)
Author's Response: Ha! Well, it was supposed to amuse you, so I'm glad it did ;-) Thanks alot, katiej!

Future Halpert freckles FTW! (I was so hoping that if they were sleeping apart it was only because it was the night before the wedding.) Le sigh.
I liked Pam's exorcism of the master bedroom. Good call. As is 'last chance for premarital sex'.
Author's Response: Hee, I kind of got a kick out of the exorcism myself...and no animals were harmed! Thanks Lisa...always pleased when you're pleased!

Aw, colette, such a nice way to end this divine fic. Whodathunk such enjoyment could come from a scattering of freckles? Fine job, you. I hope you continue to find inspiration in the mundane (and share it with us) ; )
Author's Response: Oh, you know me - more likely to

Ahh, yes. How much they love each other. You show us and tell us, too. Perfection.
Author's Response: They really can make you love love, lol. Glad the show and tell worked. And many thanks, nqllisi!

Oh this was such a sweet chapter! Even the more... suggestive parts still had an air about them that was just adorable. Like the disbelief both of them had that they were finally together was conveyed so well. I loved the memory of their date too! It was such a perfect example of how their relationship would form outside of work and how they would learn about each other. Excellent job!
Author's Response: I think there definitely would have been a sense of disbelief at that point...so, I'm really pleased that came across here. Thank you muchly, Dundie All-Star!

This chapter was just exquisite. I loved this sentence especially: She continues along a path that’s still very new, but feels ancient. Finally, Pam & Jim can enjoy the contentment and wonder of being together in the way they have always wanted. Ah sweet summer- the best time for romance.
Bravo!
Author's Response: Glad that line made sense. Liked the idea of them thinking about each other so long, that the lines between old/new kind of blurred. Thanks so much, Tammy!

It's as if some impossible notion, a crazy doodle she drew, has come to life.
Oh how much do I love this? What a great line. I loved the theme here of constellation and the lines being drawn between them...this was really beautiful and extremely sexy at the same time. Can't wait for the next chapter, but will be sorry to see it end!
Author's Response: Actually, tell you a secret: when I wrote that line, I kind of thought of my old fic, Map of the World, where she draws terrible doodles about the distance between them...so this was sort of the inverse of that. In my head, anyway, lol. Glad you picked it out! Thanks again, LoveFool!!

That was a great chapter. Really a great one. Not sappy at all but a lovely moment in the lost summer.
One of my favorite lines that had me laughing "or maybe just bite him to make sure he’s real." Just a fabulous balance of humour and sexiness there.
I really love how you have them together. So very in character but in a way we've never seen them on the show. They've always been connected and the constellation analogy was damn sweet. As always, amazing work. Thank you for it.
Author's Response: So pleased the constellation analogy seems to be working for readers...and seriously, who wouldn't want to bite him? ;-) Thanks so much, Elle!

Colette, you are a goddess. This was breathtaking. Never, never too sappy. Not sappy at all, actually, IMHO. Required Sunday night reading to keep the blues at bay.
Author's Response: Glad you didn't think the sap quotient was too high...I always worry a bit when the story turns from angsty to happy. But hell, this followed the tone of the seasons, so....anyway, thanks again for the generous feedback, NanReg!

Ah, this is so wonderful.
Bits that struck me:
"...maybe just bite him to make sure he’s real." Yum.
He looks hazily back up at her like a very content cat that woke up hungry for another helping of canary.
-- I predict you'll get a lot of comments about this line, because it is just so awesome.
And I love your callback to the first chapter, and how she feels "not a faint pulse, but his whole heart beating fast and heavy where her palm is pressed flat on his back." Gorgeous.
I also just love the whole concept of constellations and drawing patterns. As always, this is a pleasure to read, Colette. Thanks. :)
Author's Response: Glad you picked up that callback - I hoped it would sort of subtly describe the arc of their progression since S1. Also that you liked those particular lines - they were fun ones to write. Anyway, as always, a pleasure to read your comments - thanks so much, callisto!

That was def not too sappy, that was beautiful and perfect and all kinds of awesome, just like you :)
Author's Response: Wow. I am so not perfect, but I'll take it anyway ;-) Thanks so much, Hannah!

Aww...what a nice Sunday afternoon treat. Talk about a fun treasure hunt, finding all those hidden freckles. I have been quite patiently waiting for this chapter and my patience has been quite rewarded. Excellent job, of course, as always. Thank you again.
Author's Response: Well, I thank you for your patience, as well as this very kind review. And yeah, that Jim sure knows how to throw a treasure hunt...thanks again, WalkInLove!

Lalalala, Jim has freckles,Pam likes them. I skimmed most of the rest in this chapter. But still, antedote enough, Karen's gone and that makes me happy.
I never quite got the constellations either. It totally confused me, and I always wanted to draw my own. Sort of my own personal connect the dots.
No wonder I failed that astronomy course....
Author's Response: Thanks? Sorry to hear about astronomy....

I'm fairly certain you killed me with this one. I think your fics that are just them waking up together in the morning are my favorites- they're never really sappy, but filled with so much wonder and comfort. They're really sweet and make me melt =)
Author's Response: I have to admit - the waking up together thing is a personal fave of mine too. Glad I have company! And that you didn't think this was too saptastic....many thanks, flonkerton!

Yay for bribery. :) (I'm gonna make believe that I actually had something to do with your posting this saucy bit of genius.)
As per usual I loved so much about this. This is precisely how I imagine the early days of their relationship would be. Outdoor concerts, not cold enough wine and what followed is exactly the way I'd expect they'd spend an evening together.
I loved Pam's finally being able to claim that freckle as her own and it's lovely to imagine the locations of the um...other...vaguely referenced freckles here.
Can't wait to see the next installment.
PS - lisahoo might be distracted by Blackberry ads - I actually ordered the damn thing. (HA!)
I think I'm going to be reallly disappointed when it's delivered without JK as an accessory. :)
Author's Response: You know, oddly enough...this chapter gave me more trouble than the last three - even though they were arguably more complicated. Go figure. So, I'm especially glad it worked for you. And I have no doubt your imagination is vivid enough to visualize those vaguely ref'd freckles ;-) Sorry to hear you missed the Blackberry special, where JK delivers it to your house and gives you a free lesson. Subject of your choice. Anyway, thanks again for your seal of approval!

oh my lord. I just died.

If by "sappy" you mean, "perfect", then okay.
I love good stories about the early days of them dating. How amazed the two of them are that they're together, finally, and how wonderful it is. Ah, young love. And knowing he's got that ring stashed away somewhere makes it all even more wonderful.
This line?
"He makes her love the sound of her own name."
Just breathtaking and sexy and guh.
And those freckles will be left to the imagination, since they're for Pam's eyes only. :)
Author's Response: Well, glad you felt the 'guh,' EH...and I agree - sappy or not, I think they were both pretty freaking amazed in those early days (the FR big reveal scene comes to mind.) Thanks again - so much fun to hear from you!

Oh sweet jeebus, I'd like another helping of that canary.
(Sorry, just got distracted by another Blackberry ad. Oops.)
I love that Pam is learning to assert her saucy side. And that she's claimed freckles. Smart girl.
Author's Response: That is one tasty canary...with or without Blackberry sauce ;-) Yup, she learned a thing or two - and she's not afraid to demonstrate. Thanks, Lisa - always a pleasure!
