I was laughing as I read about their trip to see the White Sox playoff game. (You want real rain? Come to Philly) Heh. Chicago baseball. Go Phils! ;)
I really enjoyed this chapter! And Jim's playlist is awesome. I <3 The Shins.

I'm loving this so far. I lived in Chicago last year (well, Evanston, if you want to get technical)and all the Chi-town references are making me nostalgic. I really enjoy the Pam/Angela friendship and the way you're keeping Angela's personality but fleshing out her warmer side. And I love the slow burn happening between Jim and Pam. Keep going!
Author's Response: I'm oh so cold and miserable up here in Chi-town. :( I bet you don't miss the winters here- that is unless you moved somewhere else up North where in that case, Cheers to 5 long months of cold weather! Haha. Thanks for all the kind comments, I'm happy you've enjoyed it so far. I've always thought Jenna and Angela's friendship in real life is just too adorable for words, so I'm trying to bring a little of that out in my story while keeping a little "Angela Martin" in there as well. :)

I have a feeling Pam's going to give the engagement ring back to Roy and then go to Jim's apartment to apologize & maybe have some sexy time only to find another girl (Katy or Karen?) there! But I'm an angst whore, so bring it on!

Sox > Cubs. Pam needs to convert completely.
Author's Response: I'm with you on that one. It's war at my household. My husband is a Cubbie and I'm a Sox fan. And then there are my parents. My dad's from Boston and has been a loyal Red Sox fan for years. My mom? Yankees. Opposites attract? Haha. Friends know to stay away from my household April-October.

I love this story and downloaded all the song I could find off the playlist.
Author's Response: Aww, thank you! I hope you enjoy the playlist. I'm secretly very proud of it. Only now, not so secretly. Haha.

Oooh like the cliffhanger you've left it on. I hope Pam isn't overcome by her emotions to say yes. Looking forward to next chapter
Author's Response: Thanks! I couldn't leave you guys with just that cliffhanger, because I know I would be slightly ticked if I was left hanging for too long. I hope you enjoy the new chapter. :)

oh ya and I love the use of facebook too. It's such a big part of my life, and like any students for that matter. I like the way you've incorporated it. It makes this story seem like it could realistically happen.
Author's Response: It's sad how much I rely on Facebook now. I even have the application on my phone. The invitations on facebook can be slightly annoying, though. My friends and I started using that Green Patch application, and we got ourselves into a little war, sending each other 12, 14 plants a day. I would log in after only an hour and have like 65 alerts. Although, I am proud to say I've saved over 40 square feet of rainforests. Oh, the things I do to procrastinate from doing actual work around the house. Haha.

hey! you started a new story yay. I'm normally really hesitant of the alternate reality fanfics but this one is really good actually. Because they still seem like themselves. And I love Chicago. I would love to live there. It's my absolute favourite american city. Well I'll definitely kept up with this one. Thanks so much for writing again! :)
Author's Response: Chicago is great, although we only get about three good months to spend outdoors. Around this time of year, I'm too scared to go outside because it's so cold and windy. I'm determined to look into a winter home in Florida or something. But other than that, the city is amazing. I hope you have been or will be able to visit the area sometime. :)

i love the submarines too! and i feel a certain kinship with pam since i switched from pre-med to english literature. yay humanities! anyways, can't wait to read more of this story!
Author's Response: May I just say I love your screen name, by the way? Seriously, awesome. I switched over to an English major from Journalism. :) English rocks! I feel like I should also apologize for any grammatical or spelling errors in this story. Sadly, as an English major, grammar and spelling is not a strong suit. And I feel so ashamed admitting that. Haha. Thanks for the review! :D

I'm really enjoying this! I'm not a huge AU fan but this is really working for me. Okay I have to tell you my beloved first dog, a golden retriever, was named Sadie. She died a few years ago and when I saw that it got me all misty-eyed.
Maybe this is just me but...when Pam said she was "transported back to the 10th grade" after Angela saying she slept with Dwight I kind of did a double-take. Really? Aren't you like 14 or 15 in 10th grade? I just thought that was really, really young to sleeping around and such. Maybe I'm just hopelessly naive.
I'm loving the Jim and Pam interaction too! Keep it coming :)
Author's Response: Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved Sadie! I love the name Sadie, I think it's so beautiful. I've always said if I ever had a daughter, I would name her Sadie. Instead, I got a Jack Russell Terrier. Her name is Sadie Harris. :) And not named after the Grey's Anatomy character. I was just informed there's a character on that show named Sadie Harris, and I just feel so robbed. Haha. rnrnWhen I was thinking back to Angela and Pam in high school, I remembered I turned 16 my sophomore year because that's when I got my first car. Which in my opinion, is still very young to start getting all frisky in bed, but hey... for the sake of the story. Haha. Thanks for the review! I'm glad your enjoying the story so far.

I really love a good AU and this seems to be joining the ranks of my favorites. I liked how you didn't present the typical obstacles between Jim & Pam and you also didn't have Jim fall over himself to date Pam either. I also like how Pam seemed more courageous in her exchanges with Jim & yes, Facebook is a ridiculously huge part of my life, being a college student and all.Hope you update soon!
Author's Response: Aww, thanks, elly! :) I like to think the Jim in this story is a neat little cross between Jim the character and John the actor. I love both equally. Haha.

Hey I think this fic so far is fab. I'm a big AU fan. I like the situation you have set up, with Jim and Pam meeting for the first time and getting to know each other and developing their relationship without all the extra baggage they have from the actual show. I like how you've portrayed the two of them getting into such easy banter so quickly
Can't wait to see where you go with it, hoping for a quick update! :)
Author's Response: Thank you, Noodles! I was very hesitant to create a story in AU as I've never attempted one before, but I think it's fun to picture Pam and Jim outside the world of Dunder Mifflin. It's like no matter who they are or how they eventually meet, they're soul mates and are meant to spend the rest of their lives together

I'm in love with this story so far, I can't wait for more. I'm excited to see this jim and pam dynamic. Awesome job.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. :)

I'm really enjoying this--you had me at journalism major. I love how Facebook is such an important part of their lives, too.
Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. I have a feeling Jim's intellectual and fun, geeky "writer" side will be illustrated a lot more in later chapters. And having just graduated college, I thought it was so funny how all of my friends utilized facebook. I talked to everyone using facebook more than I actually hang out with them in person. So funny.

I've been to the Signature Room twice! I'm not from Chicago, but have a lot of family there and visited there a lot. I know I'm a dork, but that's the first place in fanfic-world that I've actually been to in RL. A waitress yelled at me for standing and looking out the windows in the middle of lunch :-( Anyway, really enjoying the story so far.
Author's Response: Wait a rude waitress! I'm sorry, but if I'm paying $60 a plate, I'd like to think I'm paying for the view and I can look out the windows as I dang sure please! Ha-ha. I love Chicago. I think it is such a gorgeous setting for Jim and Pam. Especially around this time of year when it's oh so cold. Thanks for the review!! :)

Woww, where are you from? I'm guessing you're from somewhere in Chicagoland, you know everything so well! (I'm from the south suburbs). This is an interesting story, I love AU. Can't wait to see where you take it =)
Author's Response: I used to live in Chicago where I attended Columbia College, but now live in the west suburbs. Are you as miserable in this cold weather as I am? :( I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far!
