I actually love you haven't jumped right in to something, I mean it's frustrating, but in the most perfect way, you know? I'm like OMG JIM DO SOMETHING lol.
I'm LOVING this!!!!!!!!!!
Author's Response: LOL! Thank you Hannah!! I'm trying to create that s2 frustration, except it's even more frustrating because there's nothing standing in the way besides his own insecurities. I promise the frustration will end soon though. So glad you're enjoying it!! Thanks so much again!!!

I really really like this one. It's not all happy, but it all works. It's great in how it fixs in with the show's story line, but is really completely different. It's a really intesting concept, and I can't wait to see how the next chapters go. Another chapter would be very much appriciated.
Author's Response: Thanks so much!! I'm glad you're enjoying it, even the not so happy parts. I'm glad you think it fits well with the show's story line too; it's something I'm really trying to stick to. Look for another chapter soon, and thank you again for the review!!

Oh Dundie, no garbage here! I loved this chapter! Too adorable that Jim wanted to use Pam's animation for the commerical, very clever Mr. Halpert! I'm glad he's decided to tell her he still has feelings for her, but I have a feeling, (especially since you are pushing the whole patience thing) that we may have to wait a while for it...or, it won't turn out the way we think it should. BUT! I have the ability to have a little patience...I think :) I can't wait for another chapter so I hope you get a chance to update soon!!! (And a slight P.S. on a different note, look for an email from me in the next day or two :) I've got to do the finally editing for my next chapter and then it's all yours!)
Author's Response: Aww hann, you're too kind!! Thank you!! Don't worry, I won't keep you waiting for too long (I'm just as anxious to get this ball rolling as much as the rest of you!), so expect it... am I giving too much away here?.... within the next couple chapters. And that's all I'm gonna say!!! Can't reveal much more than that or else why would you keep reading, right? ;) And I am way excited for another chapter of Counting The Days!! I can't wait to see what it's about this time!!! Thanks so much again!!

DA-S, what I love most about your stories is the journey--well, the payoff, too...but, you know what I mean. There's nothing like being engrossed in a particulary good piece of storytelling. Each chap has its own little well-placed details. I don't know how you do it, but I'm impressed.
Author's Response: Thanks so much Nan!!! I'm glad you're enjoying the journey, and the, what would you call it... detailed scenery along the way. I know you especially would appreciate the references to the show, and I'm glad I can please you by including them. Thank you again!!!

Aah! I promised myself I wouldn't read this until it was complete, but I broke my promise and look what happened! I'm here with my mouth gaping like a trout (ha) saying "that's it? I have to wait for more?" Why do I go into reading something by someone who is great, and I know the story is going to be great, without it being finished?! Please write more soon and don't let this turn out to be an incomplete story. I will be a sad shirt stain.
Author's Response: LOL! Well thank you for breaking your own promise to yourself!! I can only apologize that it isn't finished just yet (but really, it could be a while until it's completely done, so I'm almost glad you started now), and let you know that I'll get right to work on the next chapter. I'm so glad you're enjoying the start of it though!! Believe me, it won't go unfinished. :) Thanks so much again!!

I was just thinking about this story today, hoping for an update soon. No garbage throwing from me. I love the pace that you've got here. Go Corporate Jim for handling Michael. I also love your spin on Season 4 and anxiously await the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks so much!! It's really encouraging to hear that you think I don't need to hurry up and get them together already. (Because really, where's the fun in that? ;) ) I'm so glad you're enjoying all the changes to the canon as well. Thank you again for the lovely review, and look for more soon!!

I have been excitedly waiting for you to update this and you did not disappoint, it was freaking awesome. I love how you're including stff that happened on the show and mixing it up a little.
I cannot wait to see what happens next, like really looking forward to it. This is already one of my favourites and nothing "Jim and Pam" has even happened yet EEEP :)
WRITE =)
Author's Response: Thank you so, so much!! I'm glad you liked the incorporation of the show's canon into the story, and that you're enjoying the Jim and Pam stuff. Trust me, it'll be worth the wait. :) Another chapter is on the way!!! Thanks again for the review; you are awesome!!!

Ugh! I just want Jim and Pam to get together...is that so hard? But besides that, I loved this chapter! The Schrute Farm scenes are still some of my favorite! Go you!
Author's Response: LOL! Sorry! I know it's tough to wait, but I promise there will be a payoff. I'm so glad you liked the Schrute Farms stuff though; it was really fun to use. Thanks so much!!!

*sigh* How could I throw garbage at you? You updated this story, and even though there's the separate beds, I'm still really enjoying it. It's just an exercise in patience ; ) By the way, excellent job incorporating Schrute Farms. It really worked.
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I apologize for the separate beds, but you hit the nail on the head when you said it was an exercise in patience. I promise the delay in gratification will be rewarded. And I'm glad you liked the Schrute Farms stuff! It was actually really fun reworking all those scenes in new ways. Thanks so much again, I always look forward to your reviews!!

What a surprise and a delight to see this on the update list! Hooray!
You made magic of our talk, and I think you're striking exactly the right tone - taking everything (in the words of Usher) nice and slow. I loved how this chapter flowed, and that everything's still up in the air.
To quote our man, CONGRATULATIONS BITCH. This was great. :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much!! Yeah as soon as we finished talking I went and wrote down all the points we had discussed, and that really kept me on point for saying what I wanted to say. in other words, it was very helpful to talk it out, so an extra special thank you for that!!!! I haven't received any horse heads in my inbox, but I'm glad at least you appreciate the "Usher approach" (love that reference, by the way). Thanks again!!!

I was wondering about the "Don't forget us.." note and yogurt lid - I was afraid Jim did see it and just callously ignored it. Thankfully you restored my faith in him.
Author's Response: Thanks! No, of course he wouldn't ignore the note; that's just too mean. Glad I could restore your faith in him. :)

Interesting beginning. Jim broke up with Karen and hasn't seen Pam since he became Corporate Jim.
PS Around these here parts, VA is for Lovers (smile)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the beginning. I know the title probably doesn't make much sense now, but just stick around and it will soon enough. Thanks again!

LOVE this!!! I am so ready for an epic story and I love your placement in canon. It's a twist we haven't quite seen, and I'm so excited to see where it goes!!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I'm glad you like the premise and the changes in canon; it's really fun getting to rewrite everything with Jim in Ryan's place. Look for more soon!! Thanks again for the review!!!

Ooo, didn't expect that at the end! Good thinking! I like how you rationalized Jim's inner monologue on why he shouldn't just immediately start offering her to come crash at his place, ect. Can't wait for the next chapter :)
Author's Response: Thank you!! I'm glad you liked the inner-monologue stuff; I was a little unsure with that, and maybe thought the explanation was a tad unclear. I just have to remember I have smart readers following this story!! Look for a new chapter soon, and thanks so much again!!!

Another fantastic chapter Dundie! I'm so loving this chapter!! And this story. I can't wait until the next one!!
Author's Response: Thanks hann!! So glad you liked it. The next one will definitely be fun, so stay tuned!!! :)

Grinned my way through this, DA-S. You merged the details we know into this new situation so well. And you even brought Dan into the picture! I can't tell you how excited I am to read about Schrute Farms!
Author's Response: Thank you!! Glad you liked all the changes, even introducing Dan. I thought that story arc was just so funny, I wanted to incorporate it, and I hope to do a little more with it in a few chapters down the road. Schrute Farms should be very interesting, so keep watch for a new chapter soon!! Thanks so much again!!!

I'm usually not much for AU's but I'm enjoying this. Please continue.
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! Another chapter is on the way soon!

Do you realise how much I freaking love this story? Well like a whole lot, like I want to smother it in kisses and marry it :)
I CANNOT wait to read what happens next, god it's seriously addictive.
You my friend, are one awesome cupcake. Well done on writing such a fab story!
Author's Response: Aww, thank you so much!!! I'm really glad you're enjoying it enough to smother it in kisses!! Just don't smudge up your computer screen too much. ;) Your phenomenal reviews are definitely helping me to keep writing, so expect a new chapter soon!! Thanks again!!!

I completely forgot that there would have to be a launch party for LiveChat. I like David Wallace and am glad he and Jim have a great relationship, unlike what's going on with the show right now with Charles. Glad to see that Karen's moved on and won't be a thorn in Jim's side. Gah! I have to know how the night ended. You'll let us know in the next chapter right? I'm really enjoying this. Thanks for updating so quickly. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you like the Jim/David relationship. I always thought they had great potential for a mentor/student thing, so it's fun to flush that out. and no worries, I will definitely clue you in on how the night ended. Thanks for being such a dedicated reviewer!! It's reviews like yours that get my motivation up to write!! :)

This is fun. I love how you're incorporating the elements of the show into your story. And I like how you're slowly bringing Pam and Jim together. I'm really excited to see how future chapters play out. :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much!! I'm glad you're enjoying it, especially the incorporation of the show's canon. Look for a new chapter soon!!

Definitely more than 56% decent. ;) I'm really liking the set up on this story; there's a lot of potential and I really like the way you introduce new elements while trying to stay true to the show's canon. You've set up just enough obstacles for them to have to work for their happy ending. I'm looking forward to more.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Yeah, I really enjoy sticking to canon, so I'm glad you like the balance of canon and the new elements, as you so eloquently put it. More is on the way, so stay tuned!! Thanks again!!!
Date: April 11, 2009 06:04 am Title: Taken With Thought, Still Prone To Care
It was certainly better than 56% decent, we're looking at more like 86% decent, lol. But seriously, this was great. A good mix of tension and the all familiar Office we all love. Great job! Really! I can't wait for the next chapter...and I'm really hoping this has a happy ending for our favorite couple!
Author's Response: Thank you dear!! Glad you thought it was 86% decent. ;) Don't worry about a happy ending; it's on its way, but it may take a little while to get here. And again, sorry for taking so long on your beta (I do realize I started this story while I was supposed to be editing your chapter... whoops), but when inspiration strikes you can't just ignore it. Can't wait for you to post your latest chapter here on MTT!! Thanks again!!!

I was so caught up in this that I didn't want it to end. Pleasantly surprised at the reappearance of the yogurt lid/note. Very cool. I'll be waiting right here while you work on that next chapter. No pressure...
Author's Response: Thanks so much Nan!! Yeah, I really wanted to address the note in the first chapter because it's obviously so pivotal to his decision, but just couldn't find a good place for it there, so I'm glad it worked here. Hopefully I'll get going on the next chapter soon and get it up quick, cause I'm just as excited as you are! Again, thank you so much; I'm really glad you enjoyed it!!!

Jan had to deal with him as a boyfriend too! No wonder she collapsed in on herself like a dying star.
Excellent line! I think you really expressed in this chapter how there's a niche in Dunder Mifflin for Jim that is not only a step up, but something he finds challenging and has a natural affinity for.
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you feel that way; me and the friends I've made in the fandom have always thought that Jim would've been great at corporate (which is why it is so darn squeeable when he turns it down on the show), so it's exciting to get to write it the other way where we get to see his strengths play out a little more and he doesn't feel stuck in a job. Really glad you caught that; you obviously have a great ability to read in between the lines. :) Thanks so much again!!
Date: April 09, 2009 11:47 pm Title: Taken With Thought, Still Prone To Care
Ooh, so Jim didn't see the yogurt lid/note until months later. Glad you explained that because I was wondering if Jim was really that heartless at that point to just dismiss it. I'm liking Corporate Jim. LiveChat? Excellent idea! Can't wait to see these two live chatting! And this chapter was much more than 56% decent. : ) Looking forward to the rest.
Author's Response: Thank you!! I know, I wanted to address the note in the first chapter, but there was just no good place for it then, so I'm glad it worked here. And yes, there will definitely be some LiveChatting going on between those two... That sounded dirty. It was not meant to be dirty. This ain't that kind of story. ;) Anyway, so glad you enjoyed it, and thank you again for the review!!!
