Hey kath! Yes, they are engaged - that's what she was alluding to in the previous chapter when she said, "I meant what I said last night." Though it was vague, and I can completely see why it'd be confusing. I've tried to downplay it a little to make way for a bigger proposal - or rather, re-proposal - later on. :o) (Not that there's anything wrong with Jim in his underwear, seriously....)
