Pam picking up on subtle looks, winks, body language to realize what's going on with Jim and Karen is perfect. Perfectly heart breaking. Despite all the angst you've so cleverly wrought, it's still a relief to see Jim and Pam simply interacting in your fic - I SO miss that on the show (and not just re: the JAM factor; the whole dynamic in Scranton seems 'off' to me without him... he's the essential variable that completes the equation.) Ready for the next chapter...
