This is lovely! Really, such a realistic inner monologue for Pam.

Oh, I loved this. So wonderful to see something new from you. Here's to life taking over taking a break.

This was just wonderful. I love how this story gives us a glimpse into what Pam was thinking when she saw Jim back at his old desk. Also how she noticed his stress in his managing position. And the way you wrote Pam's thought was just perfect.
Very, very lovely! Thanks for sharing.

I saw your name and freaked out! I really did. I was going to review this before I even read it just to thank you, thank you for coming back to write another story! This doesn't disappoint; not one bit.
In fact, this reminds me of your other story "For what I am when I am with you..." and man, do I love that one. It has the same speed-up-your-heart-rate pace that, at the same time, calms you.
Pam's nursery rhyme is much better than the original, which I never cared for, due to its materialist quality. It's sad that's what the world knows, instead of the buttoned-down lyrics Pam sings.
You have totally made my day being here again. The other day (last week) on the boards I was going to post "Sadly, it's been 5 months, today, since Stablegirl has been here and I miss her SO MUCH *sobs*" but I didn't cause I thought would much too extreme. And I didn't want to bring everyone else down by reminding them (out loud) of your absence.
Sooo, yay you for coming back!!

"She feels movement.
Her life is fantastically in threes, now, and things will end up ok.
She’d been trying, all along, to tell him this. To reassure. But men have the chug chug chug of imagined expectations and she’s found she can’t say a word that can erase his furrowed brow of paper-induced concentration.
Not all things can be controlled."
Wow.....once again Stablegirl, you've pulld out the big guns....and they're blazing! The imagery is fantastic and poignant and so truly grounded in who Jim and Pam really are. Absolutely, absolutely wonderful!

The rolling up of the sleeves was glorious, wasn't it? I especially liked "and he won't have to buy you a mockingbird to do it."

I feel ridiculously inadequate right now, because any words I use to review this story will be...not quite right.
This is poetry. Thank you SO, SO, SO much for coming back for a moment to write this. I really hope life is treating you well, but you pop in again some time soon to leave us something as beautiful as this was.
Wow.

Wow, I actually really liked this! (I know, that sounds mean, let me explain myself!) I typically am not the greatest fan of all inner-thinking/emotion pieces, and I typically like a little bit of plot or dialogue or interaction, but this was actually quite incredible in my humble opinion! I loved all of Pam's emotions you were able to capture, I felt like she had taken over my mind for a brief period of time and I was just thinking about how happy I was to have old Jim back, and that I was with him, not Roy and how everything would turn out fine. I know you had other messages in there, but I just like reassuring myself that we might see another prank some day, as there hasn't been a new one in quite some time now! Maybe after the baby comes...
Anyway, I just got really sidetracked. What I'm trying to say, is that you've brightened my horizons and I actually enjoyed this, on the contrary to what I typically prefer. Very well written and nice job!
P.S. Welcome back to the magical, mystical world of MTT, it's lovely to read your writing again!

This is absolutely perfect! I loved everything about this! :) Who needs mockingbirds and diamond rings when you have a Jim Halpert.
Author's Response: Thank you and uh yeah clearly no lady I know needs a THING if she has a Jim Halpert ;-)

What a gorgeous piece of writing and a beautiful way to express how many of us were feeling when Jim rolled up those sleeves and unbuttoned that button.
Thanks for coming back, all the way.
Author's Response: Thanks! ugh yes I could not believe the sigh of relief, like I exhaled a breath I did not know I was holding when he undid that button, and that got me thinking... Thanks so much for reading and reviewing, I appreciate it a thousand times over.

YOU'RE BACK!!!! I hope you stay with us, I have mised you. Whenever I'm down or bored, I come on here and hunt out your stories :)
This was delicious :)
Author's Response: Hi!! I'm back!! For now anyway, I am. Hopefully the muse will remain ;-) I'm glad my stories help pick you up when you're down, I'm so honored! It's so nice to know that all the work is not for nothing and you are still enjoying the stories. Glad you liked this one and thanks, as always, for the great review.

Oh, happy day! My dear, sweet Stablergirl! You know how to put me in a good mood :) What a lovely idea--touching on this transformation back to Classic!Jim. I could feel it happening. Of the many things I love about this story, this is the best: She thinks hush, now, daddy’s gonna tell you a million stories…a million jokes…a million ways he loves you and me and the three of us, and he won’t have to buy you a mockingbird to do it…or a looking glass or a diamond ring or any other kind of thing. So just hush, and take it easy.* This gets me so very excited (more excited if possible?) for Thursday. Thanks for visiting, love. Feel free to hang out for a while. If you feel like writing, even better ; )
Author's Response: Hey there friend! Back for a moment because I just could not resist. That shirt-sleeve thing was WAY too good to pass up ;-) I'm so glad you liked this little tidbit. I've been slaving away at an addition to Harold, but that one's my like pride and joy and I'm WAY too picky about it so we'll see what happens. Thanks for reading! I always love to hear your thoughts.
