Aww! This was so cute and adorable and also a little sad? But also, I loved Jim and Pam's conversation in bed. I could hear their voice as I read the whole exchange. It was so them.
Thank you for writing and sharing this story with us!

Aww, no woman can resist Jim for very long.
Maybe he needs to hang around her crib like 15 times a day. She'll come around.
Very sweet, LF ;o)

This is perfectly adorable! You're always so good at Pam/Jim banter. I love Pam's pep talk. In fact, I love the whole vignette! I was going to copy & paste my favorite segments ... but it's the whole thing!
This one is marked complete. Howzabout another one?

Poor Jim. This story seems real to me, because I was that baby. For the first six months of my life, they tell me I would cry if any one outside of my Mom or Grandma picked me up. Even my Dad had to wait an hour after he got home from work, or I would just sob. But I did grow out of it, so there's hope for Jim.
Loved the banter, you have a such a gift for writing the awkward moments and verbal fumblings that are part of every relationship :)

Aww, this is...? Sad? Cute? True? Yeah, all of those things. LF, you write the fluffiest stuff- even your angst has feathers! lol
"...If your cell phone ends up in our ceiling don't get mad ok?...We're bonding." Greatest line ever! :)

I think insecure, not the auto-natural version of Jim as a dad might be a little bit more realistic. We've seen him get "frazzled" with quite a few things, so it's nice to see this explored, for sure. Love that you didn't end it with a miracle, either. Poor Jim still repels his daughter! Another good one from you, lovefool. :)

What an amazing idea LF. Great to see Jim and Cece both having to adapt here - would love to see another chapter of this, the sudden change in Cece and stuff ;) and Pam's pep talk was great :)

Oh this is so adorable. Poor worried Jim. Cece will get there, don't you worry. I love the parallel you used, with him saying: "Good...I love you too...and don't worry - I'll be persistent. I've proven I'm good at that right? I'll just start going up to her crib. Hanging over the side...making jokes about you...If your cell phone ends up in our ceiling don't get mad ok?...We're bonding."
It brought to my mind all the times Jim's hung out at reception with Pam. Very sweet. :)

Excellent idea, LoveFool. You're a pro with Jim-and-Pam conversations. My heart breaks for our poor boy. I'd say resistance is futile, though, Cece will learn that ; )

Aw, there's nothing Jim Halpert finds more unsettling than having someone not like him (Charles Miner, I'm looking at you) and having CeCe not be enamoured of him would definitely bother the crap out of him, even though he knows it's a stage. Pam is so cute (and believable) trying to comfort him. Loved the line about the boobs. *snort* Makes you want to give Jimbo a hug and tell him it won't be long 'til she's bouncing on him. Very, very sweet fic.

Aww, poor daddy Jim. Apparently this is exactly what I was like as a baby - always wanted to be with the parent I'd spent the day with...(which didn't bother my parents because it happened with both.) Bless Jim for freaking out about it though - seems exactly in character.
As always, I love your banter between Jim and Pam, and this: "If your cell phone ends up in our ceiling don't get mad ok?...We're bonding." had me chuckling. :)

I love how even when you're writing Jim as a not-so-perfect daddy, he's still the Daddy Jim that we know and love. His insecurities about how Cece doesn't run into his arms when he comes home from work is nothing short of funny and charming at the same time (mostly since Jim seems like the type who would stresses out about stuff like this).
I also love Pam and her attempts at making Jim feel better. The banter between them is just great.
Excellent job! Also, thanks for sharing!
