I kinda love this. I do think it's very realistic that Jim and Pam, as a couple who are a little bit obsessed with each other who had a child a couple of years before they actually planned (and also, just, you know, as parents) would occasionally be a little worn out with the extent to which parenting takes over your life.
Author's Response: You did a deep dive! I just saw this review, Email’s been wonky, I wrote this so long ago! I’m happy to hear you enjoyed it, I love your thoughtful reviews!

I really respect that you have it in there that as much as Jim loves Cece, he sometimes wishes it were just he and Pam. I think that's very realistic and I appreciate you including it. I would love to see them have a make up anniversary night... just sayin'.

Really sweet, Jenn. Hard to believe it's been a year since Niagara!
Author's Response: Thank you so much Nancy! I can't believe how long it's been either!

I was really hoping for some anniversary fic, and this is wonderful! I love reading interpretations of how Jim and Pam perceive parenthood since we don't really see it on the show, and yours here is great-- perfectly realistic and in-character, while also having some sweetness. I also liked their banter on the way to the restaurant (very cute), and last scene is just perfect (I'm picturing them looking somewhat like they did when they went to go sleep in the warehouse.. haha). Lovely job! :)
Author's Response: The hardest thing about watching The Office is that we don't get to see them perceive Parenthood. The little snippet in last weeks' episode gave me the idea for this, and of course, I love the idea of the two of them making their anniversary as simple as possible.
That was the image I had as I wrote that scene! :)
Thank you so much!!

Great first anniversary fic. Poor Cece not liking Helene very much ;)
Loved the idea of them not being allowed to drive home, so having to sleep in Pam's single bed. Very cute :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much Sally for the kind review :)

I really enjoyed reading this story. It was very sweet and realistic with Jim and Pam being new parents, trying to go out to have a little fun. I love Cecelia in bed with them, it's such a cute image of a family all snuggled in bed together. Great job and keep on writing more!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review! This is just a one-shot, but we'll see what might come out my sleeves the next time I sit down to write. ;)

Wow, this was refreshingly sweet. I really loved the realism of the story, how even though they love their child, they need a break every once in a while and how even if they get said break, it's never really one because issues come up. Life isn't about romantic gestures one after another but the small moments we get in-between all the insanity that we can hold on to. You portrayed that very well.
I loved that Jim and Pam's anniversary wasn't perfect, but it was them. Great job!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! That idea that even though you unconditionally love your child, sometimes you really do just need a break. Jim and Pam aren't perfect, and I wanted to convey that here, as well as bring a cute little Anniversary story. Thanks so much for your very kind review!

This is adorable! I really can picture it all in my head, and I adore the little image of Cece snuggled up with them. Great tone, not over the top romantic, very sweet. And I'm sure that this is how most nights out go for new parents, so also very realistic. Thrilled you're writing! :-) Keep going!
Author's Response: Thanks a bunch Danielle! I was really pleased at how this came out despite the hiatus I'd taken to writing. I guess certain things just bring us back to Jim and Pam :) I appreciate the feed back!
