Umm.... First of all, please know that I am hanging my head in shame because this is the very first time that I an leaving you ladies a review.... And I was prompted to do so because I think it is coming up on one month since we've been blessed with an update. I wanted you to know that I love and miss this story...
Umm, the beginning, if poor unsatisfied Jim was in bed watching what I think he was watching, I gotta say, one of my favorite reality tv shows. AR rocks! But poor Jim, Pam too, sometimes you are just tired!
And their toddler Cece! You guys are writing her just perfect. I can just imagine, loving her daddy, playing with him, and wanting to go to the potty like him as well. Awesome. Shy and artistic like her mommy, I can just imagine little Pam getting into trouble for the same thing, back in the early 80's.
And the documentary! I love how they are watching it, and how it is bringing up so much from their past. I adore how the reaction from strangers and producers are affecting them as well, making them ever more protective of their little family. Seeing scenes of thier past selves right now, in their current place and space in life it seems, is really making them appreciate the family they've created that much more.
I cannot wait until you return with more of these Twelve Months!
And the steam you gave us for anniversary nite was amazing! Please keep up the wonderful work!

What a great chapter! I was cheering Jim on out loud as he talked to that producer, good job with that! The details about the confidentiality clause and loving his wife and daughter were just fantastic - how could anyone seriously be trying to ask them to downplay their marriage. Especially a producer who's seen the whole thing play out - he should know above all outsiders to the relationship that they worked for it, and nothing would stop them from being themselves now that they're together.
Beautifully written and I look forward to the continuation!

Good for Jim for not backing down. I was cheering him on. I'll be honest, I'm still a bit iffy as to whether Pam would really be so put out by people having ill responses to something that happened so long ago, but you've chosen to go that route in your story and you're executing your choice in a really lovely way, so I can certainly appreciate it. And you added an element I am still waiting for on the show: I want to hear Jim refer to Pam as "my wife." I don't know why, I just want to hear it. Looking forward to what happens next!
Author's Response: Hey, Ivy! Thanks for the review! We don't think Pam was upset by what was in the letter, moreso then she was at the fact that letter was written in the first place. We don't think Pam or Jim are bothered that much by what happened in the past, just the fact that people a) judge them by it and b) feel the need to keep bringing it up. Plus, wouldn't you be upset if someone randomly sent you letter telling you you suck? Anyway, we love Jim calling Pam his wife too. Don't know why they haven't put that in the show yet. Woohoo, we are sharply in need of some good smut around here and that was some good smut.
I love the idea that Pam was mad at Jim because she liked the way his hand felt on her stomach and it confused her. Isn't it so easy to go to anger when other emotions are too much to handle?
And... "I'd love to make another baby with you." Love it.

It's more of, Pam and Jim uniting against the world. On top of that, the documentary only being out for two weeks, it hasn't really made a ripple in the pond of show biz yet. It's a slow build up to crazier things. But, we hope you still enjoy anyway and continue to read what we've got plan. Thanks again! :)

You'd think the guy from in front of the daycare might have realized, if he saw the documentary, that Jim and Pam weren't together back then, so they couldn't exactly have anticipated having a child together. But after this week at work, especially, I am well aware that there are no limits to how stupid people can be.
Jim felt a little unfamiliar in part of this chapter. I realize he's feeling frustrated about a difficult time in his life being dredged up, but even so I don't see him yelling at Cece for drawing on the walls. He's generally more of a calmly take care of it type of guy. I can see him calmly reminding her that a wall is not a coloring book, then stripping her to her diaper and making her help him wash the wall.
I liked Pam saying it was kind of fun to see them so long ago, and though I agree with Jim that they certainly wouldn't go back, I'd love to see them enjoying the blast from the past a little, maybe teasing each other about various instances of oblivion. After all, they did live happily ever after and it was a long time ago, so those wounds must have healed by now, no?
Oh, and for a specific reference, seeing them watch the Dundies kiss would be very fun. Just sayin'...
Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback, andtheivy! Yeah, there are some dense people out there just like the couple at daycare. You're right, there is no limit to the level of stupidity some people exude in this world. Sorry you didn't see Jim as clearly in this chapter. In our minds, they're not perfect people, and dealing with a toddler, while trying to get dinner on the table, after a stressful day, when your other half is not home to be your buffer, can be stressful. I've seen with my cousins, mild mannered and very sweet 99% of the time, but if they have to repeat themselves to their child when they've specifically told them not to do something, well, child gets yelled at a bit. Pam did give out the punishment, to be fair, Jim just wanted her to stop drawing on the wall. And now, she'll learn not to do that ever again. Jim (and Pam) do have the potential to be upset and lose their temper from time to time. Thank you very much for the compliment on how we've handled their reaction to things from years past. As we go, we'll be getting into their reaction to very specific instances of their younger years. The next chapter is underway, and will feature them watching that famed kiss! The only thing I can't imagine is that one couple being so rude, but maybe that's because I like to think those mean people aren't out there lol. They handle it really well though. So many great little details in this chapter. Cece being shy like her mommy, everyone talking about the documentary at work (you have the characters PERFECT), and the documentary airing on TLC (I agree that TLC would be one of the most likely networks for this.. and of course, they would want a Jon-and-Kate-style spinoff of the Halperts.. haha).
Absolute favorite part? He leans against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. “To remind me how pathetically in love I am with my wife,” he smiles warmly, a loving, almost lustful look crossing his eyes.
It’s a look she hasn’t seen in a long time. She hadn’t realized she missed the butterflies it’s giving her either.
Aww.. something about the way that was written just really got me. :)

The thought of the documentary finally airing seems to be drawing Jim and Pam closer to each other, as compared to the tension in the first chap. You've got a great concept here. I love the homefront scenes too. It always amazes me when writers can cook up scenarios that are intriguing but still really in character. This is ridiculously cute. I love how you have Cece being shy, I don't know why, but I had her like this in my head. Very much like Jim at home, but shy like Pam at daycare :) The going to the potty like daddy standing up was SO cute.
In my head I can't see them being pissed about the documentry being released, more embarrassed, so I can't wait to see how you handle this. Definitely loving this story - and keep all the Cece goodness ;) It's nice seeing them at home :)
