Ya know, I have this idea floating around in my head for a while, about expanding on when was the first moment that Jim realized he loved Pam. I never even thought of it for Pam. And, well, now I have obviously. And hers was even more heartbreaking because it came with the (halfway false) realization that she caused the pain herself. I mean, she didn't, but she did.
Man, this kind of breaks my heart. Its ... its all like, I can just hear Pam.
okay, gotta move on to something happier! But the realization... okay, shutting up. But that is so gonna haunt my thoughts!
Author's Response: This broke my heart a little when I wrote it, so I totally know what you mean. I just think it would have been really hard for her to realize how much he means to her when she thinks it is too late. Of course, it wasn't too late! YAY!

This really captures how big Pam's feelings are...made me feel like crying for (with) her all over again. You're right - it is so simple: she loves him. If only it didn't have to be so complicated too. Now I'm all misty again.

And then (please oh please) there's a sound off to the side, and the camera pans to the doorway (à la Jim's talking head in Halloween) and he's there. He tilts his head, and for a moment we don't know if he's silently saying, "Thank you" or "What the hell are you doing to me?" but then he holds his hands out to her and she goes to him and a seismic squee results.
(please?) ;)
