I was doing some archive browing tonight and stumbled upon this and thought oh, this must be about Alex (wasn't he the guy in art school?) but then I saw that you wrote it in 2007. Great foreshadowing! It's understandable that Jim would feel this way but I'm glad you were able to wrap it up in a happy ending.

Oh, wow. This was so good. Usually their fights seem kind of forced in fic, but this was perfect. I love the ending. Great job.

It is so ironic that Jim is scared that Pam could leave him for someone else just like she did to Roy. It felt like a very real ugly thought he doesn't want to have, yet it is there. Interesting read!
Author's Response:
I think that the Jim in this story is still so insecure about Pam's feelings for him at times that he'll let himself entertain the notion that he's replaceable. Never mind that she broke off a ten-year relationship for him and doesn't exactly have a history of dating lots and lots of men. It was an interesting thought to explore!
Thanks for the feedback!

Mmm, very simple and effective. I love that they so clearly fit, but it's not flowers and sunshine and puppies. Their doubts and their history is always going to lurk there. And poor Roy.
Author's Response: Thank you! I love the idea that there's always going to be some tension between them because of the way they've fallen in love. And poor Roy, indeed!

There's something about them arguing AS A COUPLE that I LOVE. Not sure why...maybe because it's so normal and for a lack of better word "couply" lol. Love it!
Author's Response: I love it, too! I hope we get to see them as a real couple, with all the struggles that go along with that, on the show! Thanks for your comments!
