Great googly moogly! Hottest Jim Halpert ever: wearing nothing but a gold wedding ring.
And this is niiiiiice too: I love that you always give me something to untie. It's like unwrapping a present every day.
Now where's that cabana boy with my virgin pina colada?
Author's Response: That pina colad is in the blender! ;)

Great ending--nice touch with the parents. Small detail--jim's parents could have been there too. but overall loved it.
Author's Response: Thanks. I didn't realize the parents would be that big a deal, but I wanted to add a little element of surprise to the day for Pam, since she had already seen the gazebo. Jim's parents had to, uh... work. Please refer to the comment futher down ;)

Just divine. You've been able to convey this scenario EXACTLY as I imagine it which makes this such a treat to read. The ceremony was lovely - Jim flying her parents to meet them - SWOON - and a bit of steam at the end. An absolutely perfect combo in my opinion. Cannot wait for the epilogue!!!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you!

Yay!
And extra points for Jim for bringing her parents over - that is So something he would do.
Looking forward to the epilogue!!
Author's Response: Thanks, time4moxie!

Awww, Paper Jam, there are no words to describe how wonderful this was to come in from the cold for! Like warm tropical breezes caressing my skin. Just delicious. And though they were totally out of their element, they were still completely Jim and Pam the whole time. My only question is where were Jim's parents? Other than that, absolutely perfect! Thanks for this.
Author's Response: Thank you Par5. I do agree about Jim's parents. I had them written in for a while, but ultimately, decided that they kind of gummed up the works. I probably should have given Pam a line asking why they couldn't make it, then Jim could say they had to work or something. Can you retcon your own fanfic? I guess that's why I usually use a beta!

First things first: nice dress; Gaugin - perfect mood (tropical, romantic, sensual, idyllic. Yup.)
And you were worried about doing the wedding/night justice? I freaking loved this. Glad you didn't belabor the actual ceremony, and not because I was impatient for them to get back to their room - in my experience, the ceremony is a blur. Love that what Pam remembers is green eyes at sunset (gorgeous) and a joke about meatballs (perfect) and that she really kisses him, not one of those polite wedding kisses. And just when I thought Jim couldn't get any more lovable, he flies in her parents.
Now, about the back in their room part - even better than I expected...there's something thrilling about Jim now officially belonging to her that adds an extra element of anticipation. Absolutely. And their banter is so in-character and sexy and it's just the right amount. I love how your Pam almost revels in her Jim-lust (that hussy). This: He's all hers and wearing nothing but a gold wedding ring. The possibilities are endless. Beyond sexy.
You have an incredibly deft touch with these sorts of scenes - they're light, joyous, believable, erotic and just explicit enough. And throughout the whole story, you totally convey how much they love each other (the crux of it, right?) without melodrama or going over the top.
Okay, I could go on, but this review will be as long as the story. Cannot wait for the steamy epilogue (not too wee, I hope.) Thanks for this whole undertaking - a true public service.
Author's Response:
Thank you so much Colette. I'm really glad you liked it. You're making me blush. ;)

Loved it! I sure hope they used church tongue! At the wedding I mean.
Author's Response: Haha! I can assure you they did not!

There was something terribly romantic about those last two paragraphs...the set up with them joking about the Lady and the Tramp and then the earrings over tiramisu. And then lying together and talking about everything ::sigh:: perfect.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I was going for romantic, I'm glad you liked this.

Fluff extraordinaire in a very, VERY good way! I loved it so much it made me slightly giddy. Jim and Pam in paradise. Wonderful.
Author's Response: Hee, thanks. I figured "go fluff or go home".

It's not really stalling if it is that good. :) You have been able to capture their playfulness so well. It's a delight to read!
Author's Response: Aw, thanks, MA!

I'm so in love with this story. In the midst of all this season three angst, this is exactly what I need. I love the tropical setting and the dialogue and everything. Looking forward to the wedding!
Author's Response: Thank you so much, unfold!

mmm... nice fluff. 2 1/2 weeks in St. Thomas? Soooo jealous!
"She imagines undoing the buttons, one by one, on their wedding night." Don't we all?
Author's Response: Yeah, I wanted to give them plenty of time to...sight see.

I love everything about this. The conversations flow so beautifully, and who can resist them finally together, happy, and getting married? Wonderful job.

Besides Jim, I can't think of a nicer thing to wake up to than a new chapter of this story. And what's this about them having another 2.5 weeks there? That's quite a trip - and it's clearly incumbent upon you to chronicle each and every day...and night. (And, btw, I have no doubt that both you and Jim will handle the wedding/night with flying colors.)
Author's Response: Haha! I don't know about every day, but I have a tiny epilogue planned for after the wedding. Thanks for the words of encouragment!

This is such a nice story! Eloping is what I always figured Jim and Pam would end up doing, since Pam's history with planning weddings is probably painful for both of them to think about. I can't wait to read the wedding!
Author's Response: Yeah, I think a lot of us came to that conclusion on TWoP. This grew from that discussion. Thanks for reading!

"Do you need a time out?" - I can so hear Jim say that - what a funny line! Thanks so much for the link to the hotel - I'd go there in a heartbeat if it weren't for having to fly there - and the iguanas milling around.
Author's Response: It's okay, the iguanas don't move very fast. I kind of love them, but I could see how someone who doesn't like reptiles would be freaked out.

One more day and it will have a smooth gold band.
That line just makes me so happy!

"I love you." Even when his mouth is full, those words always make her smile - I love sweet, fluffy Jam!

I suspect Jim would be more inclined to boast than blush if Pam said that about getting him alone, in public. Loved the "congratulatory smirk". One receptionist to another, sort of...
For the first time in as long as she can remember, she can't wait for her wedding day.
Awwwwwwww.
I, on the other hand, care nothing for weddings. I'm all about the wedding NIGHT. Looking forward to it....:D
Author's Response: So much pressure for the wedding night! I hope Jim is up to it! Thanks, NEJ.
