WOW how beautiful this is. Regardless of whether this is Jim's "voice" or not, the writing is so beautiful, so evocative (can I use that word?), so lovely. Just wonderful. Thank you.
Author's Response: Thanks so much!! You're right, though, in mentioning Jim's voice... I guess it should sound more like Jim, because of the POV I used. Maybe I'll do a rewrite and make it sound more Jim-like.
Also, I don't think anyone's ever called my writing "evocative" before! Wow, thanks!
