i'm just loving this story so far. i can't wait for more. i just adore the angst and the unspoken feelings and yes. perfection.

Author's Response: Thank you so much!  I miss the angst/unresolved sexual tension from last season so much...

First of all, so glad this story has a mind of its own and wants to be longer (TWSS!)  And I don't know how you do it, but you make waiting on each update tougher and tougher with each new chapter.

Damn you, girl7, damn you to hell and back!

Author's Response: You've got me cracking up over here!  I'm really glad you're enjoying it, and I'll try to update it soon.  Hope little hoobaby is doing well.  :O)  Thanks for the review!

Damn that Karen.

Jim's insecurities about Pam are so endearing and so damn loveable.  But geesh Pam- I realize that you've just watched your new boyfriend/old fiance go bat crazy, but will you at least just give Jim something?  I actually read this with sleepy eyes and an intent to hit my own bed- so it was funny/ironic to read a Pam with dozy eyes who was slowly drifting asleep.

Its the quiet moments that I love just as much as the sexy bits.  Their connection transcends from the screen and its like they are one- even with something as simple as her putting her hand on his chest and linking fingers with him.  *sigh*

Author's Response: THank you again for yet another thoughtful review (and for your continued support - it's just so great).  I was sleepy, too, as I was writing it, which helped with the descriptions.  And I second your comment about the quiet moments - like the now infamous "Diversity Day" smile.... THanks again - oh, and I will be emailing you back, I promise!

Yes Jim...you're getting veeeeeeeerrry sleepy....you want to break up with karen..yees Jim break up with Karen...lol.  GREAT chapter Girl7! Please don't apologize for writing more chapters than you anticipated! We LIVE for more chapters!

Author's Response: Your review made me cackle right out loud!  (There's a thought: Pam could hypnotize him!  Or wait - she seems to have already done that in "The Secret" when she took down her hair...)  Thanks so much for reviewing!

Wow...this just keeps getting better.  I love that Pam can't quite get out what she wants to say and that Jim was semi torn about staying. (especially the part when he didn't really want Pam to wake up when he was asking if he should stay).  Just awesome.  Cannot wait to see how this ends.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments!  I was envisioning that sweet smile he had during "Diversity Day."  Sigh...

i say you should not post the final chapter until late thursday. give me a chance to actually study and therefore pass my midterms. why shall you obey me - because i am the most important person- duh!

or maybe i should just like, go study now instead of being on here. learn some self control. nah. fanfic is so much better than 'european civilization since the 17th century' BORING

Author's Response: Hah, EmilyHalpert - looks like that may well be the case at the rate I'm going.  :o) Thanks so much for the review!

The two of them falling asleep is probably one of the sweetest images I can imagine - in so many ways even more intimate than the best of smut.  (See my Oracle Mom for that argument!)  Just the thought of them asleep on the couch together makes me smile.

And don't apologize when your story gets longer than intended - I know that feeling all too well, and I find it's usually for the best.  These two want what they want.  ;-)

Author's Response: I know, Moxie - so why can't G. Daniels just give us that?  Is it too much to ask??  I'm really glad you're enjoying this...and I'm also really hoping that your latest totally gets away from you, too, because it is a fascinating read; I think I could read 2,000 pages of it.  Thanks again!

oh geez. I am loving this story. And now they fell asleep on the couch and it's just so cute. I'm really looking forward to more!

Author's Response: What I would not give to see them both fall asleep on a couch together.  (That makes me sound a tad creepy, doesn't it?)  Thanks so much for the review!

Oh, girl7, this chapter is absolutely redolent with that indescribable Jim/Pam-ache (you know the one!) The sense of them just being together, talking, not talking, Pam not being able to quite say IT, Jim being so vulnerable, knowing she owns him...then them getting progressively more comfortable and sleepy together and how that becomes something else again (ahem)..it's all just so palpable.  See, it's making me ramble incoherently again! I seriously cannot wait for the next chapter. Maybe at that point I can even give you some feedback that uses actual syntax ;)

Author's Response: As always, such a thoughtful review.  I just love playing with the angst and unresolved sexual tension; it's one of the things I miss so much this season (not that it's totally vanished, but just...severely hampered).  I'm really glad you're enjoying this - thanks for reviewing!

I was on the edge of my seat this whole chapter!! One thing that I notice with most of JAM fics is that people always have Jim conserned with Karen when He has a chance with Pam. As I see it, Karen is the other woman, he's not cheating on Karen if he is with Pam. He's been cheating on Pam with Karen the way I see it...So what I'm trying to say is...GO FOR IT JIM!!!!!!!

Author's Response: I totally see what you're saying, DunderSnob (love that name).  I did contemplate just whether or not he'd cross a line - and if so, how far.  And...well, you'll see my speculation by the end of the story.  (How's that for a tease?  Hee.)  Thanks so much for the review!

Oh Pam , go for it.  Oh Jim dump Karen.  Now that I put my two cents in, great fic and wanting more.

Author's Response: From your mouth (computer) to Greg Daniels' ears, gothkona.  Thanks, as always, for the reviews - you're the best!

His voice was hoarse, a verbal acknowledgement that he was at her mercy.

Still.

You have killed me with those lines. *sigh* Beautiful.

More, please.

Ugh... loved loved loved it, but you ended it THERE?!?  Get back here and update!

Author's Response: agd300!!!!!!!!!!  I have to tell you - I've been listening nonstop to "It's Not Over" as I've written this.  The other night I just wasn't feeling it, so I wandered on over to youtube for some inspiration - and nearly fell off my sofa when I saw your video!  Great job - just...amazing!  Thanks for the video, and for reviewing.  :o)

First, i have to agree with a previous review: you ARE a tease. you are killing me! i just came back from 10 days away from my computer/internet and am playing catch-up and the LAST thing i want is another one of your stories to leave me hanging!!! oh, but you know i love it.

your stories were some of the very first office fan fic i ever read (i spent hours upon hours reading one of them despite needing to get work done - you evil woman!) and i just love love LOVE them

thanks for the compliments on the user name. not many people get it but it is one of my favorite deleted scenes!

Author's Response: Thank you so much - it's so great to hear that you like my stuff.  :o) (Sorry it sucks up your work time - but hey, join the club...heh.)  Thanks again!

I think I might actually be breathless.
So emotionally wracking!! I actually think I might cry or throw something if these two don't just get it together already.
Thanks!
cheers.

Author's Response: Yay for making you breathless!  Thanks so much for the review - well, for all of your reviews, actually.  :o)

I'm really enjoying this.  I love the line "running away had somehow managed to only pull them closer". Will they get closer this season?  At least they can in fanfic.

Awaiting the final chapter(s) - at your convenience.

Author's Response: Lord, I hope they get closer this season, TLK - otherwise, G. Daniels may have a mutiny on his hands. :o) Thanks so much for reviewing!

Your stuff delivers the best emotion - every time!  I go in knowing that there will be the catharsis that we all need.  And - "Yes"  wow, just wow. Love it!

Author's Response:

Wow, Geinnob, knowing that my stuff is cathartic is really, really validating.  (I'm convinced that good old Aristotle was on to something....)

Thanks again for reviewing!

I broke down in tears somewhere in the middle of this, probably at least partially due to PMS and partially due to my own personal issues, but that doesn't mean this isn't amazing.  You write them both SO WELL.  I can't wait for more.

Author's Response:

Awww, lil_glitter - I'm sorry I made you cry!  (Well, sort of; in a way, it makes me feel glad, like I've done my job.)  If it's any consolation, chapters like this don't come without some tears on my part, so....

Will post the rest tomorrow, hopefully.  Thanks for the review!

Wow -- you write awesome Pam/Jim dialogue -- it sounds just like the "yes" heard round the world to me.

And even though Pam is crying throughout this chapter, she is so compelling and even strong somehow.  Heck, you have written depths to these characters that I don't think the TO writers have even considered.  At least they won't show it to us (yet) so 'Vive le Fan Fic!!'

Author's Response:

Your review, lisahoo, made me feel so great -- because above all else, what I strive for most is dialogue that rings true.

And I'm always conscious of it (like, almost debilitatingly conscious) when I have Pam cry...but what spurs me on and makes it okay are the scences in which she just lets go and cries.  Based on the evidence we've seen, I think Pam's a big old crier.  (And really, how  could she not be?)

Thanks for the review - hope Hoobaby is doiing well!

OMG, the intensity.  I think I'm just going to melt into a puddle because I just miss those moments between Jim and Pam -- the joking -- with that layer of intense emotion just bubbling underneath.  And the crying ... gah, that brings me back to my X-Files days with Mulder tucking Scully under his chin and how... LOVE ... it was, and just... man.  WRITE MORE .... ghgljsalkgjlsdfj.

Author's Response:

Ahh, your reviews always mean so much because I know you're always so honest.  Thanks for taking the time to review - and for the thoughtful comments.

Would you believe that I've never seen a full X-Files episode, nor have I seen a Buffy episode?  It's wieird - like, I know those are shows I'd love, but I'm holding off until I have the time.

(If only there were an enormous monetary compensation for writing long, rambling fan fics....)

He said yes.

I'm not sure if I have the words to articulate what I'm thinking right now. Unbelievable. You know I eat up the angst and you serve it real good.  Your writing style is just so incredibly visual that I can literally picture the scene playing out in my head.  Every little detail- balled up fists, tears in eyes... just amazing.  Can not wait until chapter 4. Seriously.

Author's Response:

Okay, Miss StarryDreamer: Your reviews have been such a boost to my muse/creativity/motivation to write.  Honestly.

Here's the thing: We write; we post; we hope for feedback.  But the stuff I'm most attached to isn't the newer work (not to disparage it), but Away From the Cameras, because I spent so much time on it, and I'm oddly protective of it.  So to stumble on new reviews of that particular piece is like a gift - to say nothing of your current reviews.

Seriously, we fanfic writers subsist on two things: our need to work out the plot as we perceive it, and the feedback we get via reviews.

So thank you.
