Yes! I love the other characters--they're all different and they really add to the story. I'm glad that you've decided to add in conversation between other people and not just have it be the two of them all the time, although I did enjoy the messaging between the two of them.

I love this entire conversation between Jim and Pam. I'm kinda bummed that he's pretending to be someone else, but when they end up together I won't care anymore (they end up together right? you're not going to do this whole "haha suckers, it's a Karen/Jim story after all" thing? lol).

I (yes, a she lol) am soo psyched that you got to use that line. Thank you thank you! That was my favorite line from the poem. But I remember my American Lit professor telling us that one day soon we're all going to be sitting at desks in cubicles saying "I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across the floors of silent seas." It was an uplifting lecture, that's for sure. :)
Back to the chapter... I love the drama at the end. That Karen. Geez. I am really enjoying this whole dynamic. It's really a great idea for a story :)

oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god /Kelly. Moxie, this chapter was so great. First of all, I am dying to know who Vexin is. Or is it even anybody that we know, or is it Jim's "guilty" conscience just messing with him. And the Ms. Congeniatlity quotes game, so cute. So Pam and Jim, she has to have an inkling! And his avoidance of all things Karen makes my inner seventh grade girl happy. Can't wait for more!

Okay, hate to be greedy, but I need more! LOL! Even after reading another wonderful chapter, I'm on the edge of my seat to see what happens next. It's just great to see Jim and Pam actually talking, even if Pam doesn't know it's him. Love that they both have the same guilty pleasure taste in movies without knowing that about each other. It also feels like the Karen situation is building up to where Jim definitely will have to deal with her. Oh, and Jim thinking he'd rather get attacked by squirrels in a dream than talk to Karen was funny! I'm so curious to find out if Pam will figure out it's Jim or if he eventually confesses. Thanks for updating!

Chapter 5 was well worth the wait! I didn't want to badger you on TWoP, but I was soooo impatient to read the next installement.
The conversation was just so adorable between the two of them. You've really nailed their dynamic. And I'm still wondering who Vexin is. I feel there's a clue in the name, but I just can't see it.

Gaaahhhh! I am gasping and slapping my hands over my mouth and am literally excited - as if this is happening to me or something! I think one of the reasons that this story is so addictive is that you've come up with the most brilliant concept that allows you to present both sides of the story here. I mean, in what other scenario would we have Pam speaking so freely about her feelings for Jim? This is so much fun and just....guh. (Oh, and how pathetic is it that I was so happy both of them were drinking - like yess, that's it; drink and type, just spill it allllll...)
Also her comment about sex on his desk? I could so perfectly imagine the Jim face in response to that comment. :o)

This chapter just further solidifies my assertion that squirrels are evil...seriously, as much as I love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory I can never sit through the nut factory scene. *shudders* And anytime I see a squirrel outside I literally go running the other way. I don't care how much bigger I am, they are some scary rats.
Anyway...totally loving this and I never review...ever.
I'm gonna have to go with Phyllis as the secret identity of Vexin if she is anyone at DM b/c Phyllis knows all.
This chapter was completely adorable. Miss Congeniality is definitely one of my closet favorites as well. And, yes, I did know all of the quotes in here.
