:D:D:D:D Just now reading this, but very very good. Pam/Ryan is one of those purely fanfic creations that I just can't get over, and yours is superb.

I feel so bad, b/c I read this and loved it right after you posted it, but I've yet to review.  This is lovely and bittersweet and a great Ryan voice.  And Ryan/Pam is so YES for me especially in this context.

Oh, and "Jim's eyes aren't blue" made me hold my breath for a moment.  Love love love. <3

Wow...that was the most shocking 'twist' I've ever read here.  I love how they are all pretending and how it's just all...screwed up and this is just amazing.

Oh gosh, I loved this. It was still Pam, Jim, and Ryan--but the situation was so different and crazy, but in a way that totally worked because the characterizations were spot-on.

Really loved the way this unfolded--with all the explanation coming in the middle. And that whole part, the part that's supposedly happening on the show today, was fantastic. Particularly loved the lines about neither Ryan nor Jim being good actors, and Ryan wanting to get caught. Really loved reading this :)

Oh, dear.

I was going to say how brilliant all of this was but I still can't get my hand around all of this! DickinFlicka, how is that you always get me thinking? And I end up never knowing if that's good or bad.

In this way this is bad, I think. Because I would never see Ryan/Pam together, but now that you've established that all of it is a lie, well...

Wow.  Just.  Wow.  That was really good.  I was shocked and had to re read it to make sure I read it right the first time.  The whole concept made for a great backdrop!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it enough to re-read! :)

I had never been a Pam/Ryan shipper, but this just blew me away.  The concept was so original too, that they were acting.  I enjoyed it!

Author's Response: I wouldn't call myself a Pam/Ryan shipper either, but for some reason the idea got into my head and I just had to write it! I also feel like a lot of "reality" shows are staged to add drama so I thought it could be an interesting twist.  I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reviewing :)

oh, WOW.
I didn't see the twist there. But I kinda really like it.
It's funny how it's something that really is done on "reality" shows. They still have to be entertaining, so there's always manipulations.
I really enjoyed this. I like that a lot of your writing is boldly dark and explores the darkness and human side of the characters that is often over looked. So, props to you.
Thanks.
cheers.

Author's Response: Wow, thank you!  I do tend to write on the darker side of things (I'm always impressed with people that can write something really fluffy and enjoyable because I can't seem to write fluff well) so I'm really glad that you like a little darkness.  Thank you, really!

Wow, from the first sentence to the last, what a great fic!  It's got everything - surprise, twist, angst, a secret relationship, romance, a beautiful title.  I love the way you have conceived and written it.  Pam, go with Ryan and Earl Grey...

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the twist and I was a little wary on the title (just because its kind of... long?) so I'm really glad you liked it :)

Wow, what an interesting twist.  I'm not sure why Pam would be w/Jim "off-set" if she really wanted to be with Ryan, though.  I like Ryan's thoughts here - a man in love?

(I think sometimes Jim's eyes are blue, though.  At the end of The Convict, when he's laughing to Rainbow Connection, don't they look quite blue instead of green?  I may be wrong.)

Nice job.

Author's Response:

I was trying to leave it kind of open for interpretation, but in my head it plays out like this: Pam wants Jim, but can't have him so she sleeps with Ryan, then Jim finds out/gets jealous and she still thinks she wants him so she goes after him, and then in the end she kind of realized maybe she wanted Ryan all along, hence the painting.

I agree about Jim's eyes changing colors quite a bit haha, the end of the Convict especially, but apparently in person BJ has very striking blue eyes, so I was trying to go off that (like the way she painted it it would be pretty unmistakeable).

Thank you for reviewing!

Talk about being blind-sided by a bus...at first did not see that coming. Then again. Just riveting. You captured Ryan's voice so well - and even with almost no dialogue - Jim too. Very original, very well done.

Author's Response: Thank you! I always love your writing, so I'm glad you enjoyed it and felt that Ryan and Jim's voices were believable, I was trying to make it ambiguous at first, but then once you know who it is and go back you can tell that it was Ryan all along.

non jam stories tend to usually make me a little ill. But this was AWESOME!!!!! Lately I've been feeling that Jim reeaally isn't good enough for her and ryan is really hot. um...that was awesome, i'm not articulate right now after 12 hours of studying, but i am impressed

Author's Response: Thank you!  I'm so glad you liked it even though its non-JAM, and Ryan? Sigh... he is... yeah.  I'm a little obsessed with writing Ryan fic lately because I am so in love with him, haha.  Thanks for reviewing!

Well I feel like I've just been through something.  The way you twisted this story and screwed with my mind was absolutely brilliant.  So original.  Damn.  I applaud you.

Author's Response: What a compliment!  Thank you!! Really, I'm so happy that you said that :)

Holy Mother of God, Dinkin... This was absolutely amazing -- and you know I'm a pretty staunch Jim/Pam kinda girl.  But I have to say, the sheer artistry of this is breathtaking; it reads like a tapestry, with panels just shifting and unfolding and good god, I'm rambling.

Seriously...this was amazing.  Just amazing.

(Still sitting here with my mouth hanging open)

Author's Response: Wow thank you so so so much! Especially coming from you (who's writing I love soo much) it really means a lot.  I wasn't sure if it was too confusing, and non-Jim/Pam doesn't usually do it for most people so I was a little worried about it.  But now that you said that I have a huge grin on my face, seriously, you rock!
