Let's see: 20/15 vision; "Pam's Regrets" magazines (darn, my subscription ran out!); "She’s pretty sure she hears him sigh into her hair."; "I’ll take stupid jokes for four hundred Alex"; R.M. of DMWP; happy Kelly. These are a few of my favorite things.
I don't think many parents though would get together at 8 PM at Adventure Zone. They'd probably go home (separately) and get the kids to bed. Maybe they'd go to Jim's, since he has the youngest kid, and get the little one to bed while the older ones watch a quiet movie and Jim and Pam reconnect. Most likely, they'd make plans to meet at Adventure Zone on Saturday, so they'd have a whole afternoon or something. Just my opinion.
This is just great. One more chapter, right? Yay!

Wow! Even though I usuaally avoid stories that take place in the future &/or with kids, this has made me almost giddy. I especially love this line:

Gosh, this is perfect! So sweet and cute, but not overly so. Plus, no matter how things turn out on the actual show, I will be keeping in mind that this could happen and it will all turn out a-ok.

I think it says something disturbing about me the way I got mad on Jim's behalf when I read this sentence (I never liked that Karen!): Karen left me last spring for her boss, they live in Paris now.

I LOVE this story. Seriously. I think it's my favorite of yours (and after the sizzle of Fool's Bargain, that's high praise.)
First off, a chapter named after a Peaches 'n Herb song? Gotta love that. Second, so many bits of dialogue here that gave me a pang and made me giddy with anticipation:
But it’s not because he’s Jim and she’s been in love with him for years and she somehow knew this day would come again.
My heart did a flip. And her amazement that he's someone's Dad, and when he sighs and later squeezes her hand, and their still easy rapport...the idea of them at this age (hmmm, think I can relate a bit?) and the hotness that is the concept of Jim as devoted Dad...just please, update soon, would 'ya?
