My friend, for whom I wrote this piece originally, loved the red blouse enough to look it up and try to buy it online, so it was a given...but it also seemed like the exact right thing for their first date!

Lis, you are the rarest of writers, a fanfic author who comes back years (or a decade) later to complete a story. Kudos to you.
I reread the whole thing and all the reviews. My visits to MTT nowadays are infrequent, but I enjoy reliving that part of my life. It made me quite nostalgic, seeing all the old posters' names. And I remember you from the old TwoP boards.
That said, what a fitting conclusion to your story of their life together. I think that when it was happening in real time on the show, it would be hard to imagine either of them as a bereaved spouse. But it is part of life and you wrote it realistically, and it completed the story. Thank you for doing that.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I'm not sure what drew me back, but I did the same thing-- re-reading and just remembering this special time. We all shared something beautiful through this show and what we created because of it. I'm honored to still be part of it in a tiny way.

OMG -- I've had to put off reading this for lack of time, but...wow. (I'm trying really hard to be as generous as you always are and review every chapter, instead of tearing through this. Hee.)
Love it that she lets him come back to her apartment with her, and that she wears the shirt!! And that last line is just lovely.

FABULOUS line. I love this whole story. Confident!Pam! Confused!Jim who is also InLove!Jim. Lovely, as always.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I think Pam has, rightfully, gotten a lot of the glory for the final two eps of the season- but Jim had a few hard things to do, himself. He does love her, though- and that counts for a lot. Thanks again!

I had to review again, because I don't know if I have rated it yet, and I just realized that as I submitted my last review. And also to update you. So far... nothing in my closet. Although I will admit there was a teddy bear I had forgotten about in there. So, now to spend quality time with Nighty (yes that is bears name)

I have really enjoyed this story. The storyline was so original. Loved the bit about the oven mitt waving jauntily! I thought Dobby wore an old sock not a dish towel. Guess I better go and reread it.
Author's Response: House Elves wear whatever (tea towels, etc.) until they are given clothes- and Dobby was given a sock, so we're both right! Hee. Thank you so, so much! I'm glad you're enjoying it- I'm going to add one more chapter, I think. (And you should re-read HP in time for book 7 in July!)

Ok, there's something I love so much about your description of how Jim thought Pam looked "intentionally beautiful" that's just perfect. Love the idea of this story...moving on to the next chapter.

It still gets me how perfectly "I changed for me" sums up everything about Pam.
I love that Jim was just devastated with worry that Pam had decided against the date. And I also laugh that he's seen Bridget Jones. HEE!

I think that was the DVD he was swapping with Karen for Christmas- regardless, it is funny to me to think that he'd so easily reference a chick flick...but somehow very Jim.

This fic is so sweet. And this chapter is so nice, I really love the whole balance and contrast of this compared to her last experience at a sporting event.
Great characterzation here too. Well done.
Also I especially appreciate it simply because I'm a girl from Scranton married to a huge Phillies fan.
