This is exactly what that summer felt like for them - complete with them using their relationship to mess with Dwigt.

Author's Response:

We missed so much of their early days, but I definitely tried to catch some of that heady new-relationship energy. And messing with Dwight is how they flirt, so...ha.

I just read this and I loved all of it but I had to comment on this chapter. I just loved Pam's cover story and Dwight's reaction. And of course my Phillies! I saw the Phils beat the Braves in person once. It was very fun :-)

Author's Response: I'm so glad I could bring back a good memory! Thanks for reading- I'm having a great time writing this series. Glad you enjoyed it!

First, it's a testament to how freaking well you write that I actually got excited for a minute that they were going to a Phillies game when the Phillies were playing Atlanta (because that's where I am).  Second, this line just made my entire day: "This is all very irregular.”

OMG, I love Dwight so much, and you've just nailed him here (er, his voice...).  Still loving this!

Author's Response: Hee, I think Angela would have issues with me nailing Dwight in any other fashion. He's a blast to write for, although you have to tread carefully not to make him a cartoon (Rainn is so good at walking that line). I love baseball, but I'm an American League girl (Go, Indians!).

Wow this was PERFECT, dead-on characterization for Dwight, Jim and Pam. Her fast thinking to deflect Dwight, her bone-deep knowledge of how to push his buttons, and her delight in Jim and baseball--I got nothing but love for all of this. Well done, well done!

Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, Dwight-baiting and baseball- two of my favorite sports. Hee. I'm so glad you thought I got Dwight's characterization right; he's fun, but a little tricky to pin down without going overboard.

That was a really cute chapter. Of course he won't leave her, he's Jim. I love how they still can get Dwight. Great job.

Author's Response: Thank you so much- I love them, and I especially love Pam being the prank mastermind.

Gotta love the pranking Dwight. Classic and fun.

Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I love it when Pam is the prank mastermind, so I couldn't resist.

I still just can't get over how quickly and easily Pam switched from girlfriend-mode to effing-with-Dwight-mode.  Hee!  And Dwight's such an easy mark!

The revelation that Pam's got a bad history with sporting events was very nice; quiet and understated but still extremely telling.

Author's Response: Yeah, I can imagine that Roy was the kind of guy to get drunk and yell at officials. Pam has learned to mess with Dwight from the master- she's got skills!

sooooo cute. you must add more!

Author's Response: I will, I will! I have three more chapters planned. Thank you so much!

So nice!  Both chapters are lovely.

I adore Dwight's last line.  It makes me think about the "surprise" party in e-mail surveillance; Dwight didn't give away the surprise in that one either.

Author's Response:

Thank you! Yeah, Dwight works by a few known principles- if you know the system, you can predict his behavior. Jim and Pam have it down pat. Heh.

Thanks for reading- there's more on the way!

As a huge baseball fan I'm absolutely loving this...you've struck a nice tone with this whole thing so far, it's really a fun read.  Can't wait for the game.  But I'm rooting for the Braves.

Author's Response: Oh, thank you! Unfortunately, I'm moving away from sports in the following chapters into other "new" types of clothes for FNB to try on. I hope you like them anyway!

This is very cute, and I appreciate the research very much. I'll be watching for Jim and Pam in the crowd on the tenth on TBS...hehe.  Too bad the braves are gonna spank the Phillies...poor Jim, what a sad 'birthday' for him

Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I totally did do research, too...I had to figure out how long of a drive it would be for them so I would know what time they should leave, and find the right date and the right team...once I saw the Braves on the schedule, I knew I had to throw a bone to the fic thread! Heh.

So when is Jim's birthday? I am guessing it is in August (at least in this story)... has it been established in the show? Not that it matters.

That is so sweet the little thing about the gym bag :) Its so them. (pointless rambling time). Once, it was for father's day or my dads birthday or something, and me and my brother couldn't think of what to get him, so we both bought things WE wanted. So, I gave my dad a Polly Pocket, and my brother gave him like a Star Wars action figure. So, gifts like that are the best.

Oh, and casually clothed Jim/Pam - so what I love (one of the many types of Jim/Pam I love)

Okay - so now onto the awesome part of the review... honestly the main reason I clicked this so fast

PAM AT A BASEBALL GAME AGAINST THE BRAVES!!!!!!! :D!!!!! Yes, I am grinning like a fool, and I can't stop smiling and laughing because it is just AWESOME AWESOME. Its like a birthday present for me to (even though it is like 3 months early for me)....YAY!!!!! GO BRAVES (yeah, so like, four days ago I didn't even think of myself as a baseball fan... its just so much fun!)

Okay, is it wrong that I actually clapped with happiness at the end? Well, I did. And keep writing!!!! (even if it does move onto post baseball game stuff... I am pretty sure I like the story even without baseball... the baseball was an added bonus. just like the fact I was eating a snickers for the first chapter.

Now I go continue grinning like an idiot.

Author's Response:

I hope it hasn't been established when Jim's birthday is, because I just made this up.  And I'm so glad you liked the baseball stuff! I knew I wanted to send them to a baseball game, and when I found a home game against the Braves...well there you go. Lucky I've been lurking in the fic thread....ha. Sadly, I'm moving on from sports for now, but I may have to do a follow-up because the baseball thing seems to have struck a nerve. Thank you so much- I'm glad you liked it!!

Aww, BASEBALL!!!!  You rock out loud, Lis!

Author's Response: Heh, thanks! I may have to write a follow-up with them at the game...the rest of the chapters are on different outfits that are new for Ms. Beesly. Thank you for rec-ing me, too! Appreciate it!
