You know, it's always struck me that so many fics from this era had at least Pam and usually Pam and Jim leaving Dunder Mifflin not too long after they got together - I know it didn't happen like this, but it actually still feels like a pretty natural progression of their story.

Author's Response: It did feel like a natural way for Pam to continue her growth, even if it wasn't in the cards considering that the show took place in The Office. Heh. But I also did feel like, for Jim especially, the job was the place they could be together. Once they had a real relationship outside of work, either or both of them could be free to leave and keep their connection intact.

Yeah, and I'm smiling just as big as Pam right now.  I have to tell you - you've got all their voices down; it made me miss the show so much, LOL.  Seriously, though, this is just so much fun -- and her "marry me" comment totally caught me off guard.  Yes, Jim -- do it!!!

Author's Response: Thank you!!  It "made [you] miss the show"? Really? That's an awesome, awesome compliment. Wow. Glad you're still enjoying...!

Jim answering Kelly's rapid-fire questions like this is something I have to see on this show some day. Please, God and Greg Daniels.

And Pam's proposal? you GO, girlfriend!! Wonderful, wonderful stuff. I'm loving this story.

Author's Response: Pam's good, but I think only Jim is quick enough on his feet to answer Kelly once she gets on a roll. I'd be so impressed with my pre-cog abilities if we ever saw something like this! I'm so glad you're enjoying- thank you!!

This is so charming, nqllisi! I'm only sorry it's taken me so long to discover it; I'm loving every chapter, and the simple elegance of your writing is a real treat. Looking forward to more! --CH

Author's Response: Oh, thank you very much! "Simple elegance" is such a lovely compliment- you can't see me, but I'm smiling and blushing right now. I'm so glad you are enjoying it!

I think I've reviewed an earlier chapter, but I'm just now getting around to this one. And it's great! Love "corporate Pam!" :) Amazing how Fancier Miss Beesly gets with every incarnation around here, yes? Well done!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you picked up on that "fancier" thing...I think she's come so far already, but with Jim's love and support she's going to keep getting more and more confident and generally awesome. I'm so glad you're enjoying this! Thank you!

Woooo!!!  Go, Pam, go!!!

Author's Response: Pammy has learned to ask for what she wants (and don't call her Pammy!). Thank you for the "Woooo!!!" !

Perfectly fluffy. Loving this. A great vehicle to tell a great story! Nice idea, and well done.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I loved the idea of new clothes symbolizing change, and this story is all about change. Thanks for commenting!

This was my favorite so far, and the last 3 paragraphs - a-MAY-zing!

Author's Response: Oh, thank you! Yeah, I sort of surprised myself when Pam started talking about marriage- but she's FNB for a reason. Heh. Thanks again- I hope the next chapters don't disappoint.

Its so muc fun to distract Kelly... and I fear that is yet another way I am like Kelly. Although it wouldn't be "oh isn't that a new top" to distract me, but I am easily distracted (ooh, sparkly), but I do remember the conversation later... and wonder what ever happened to it.

"a huge, scary step,"
Can I say how awesome it was that you phrased it that way, because that is totally the way I phrase things. Its just like so common place language, awesomeness ensues. Wow, I really am having a Kelly Day... awesomeness ensues.

Okay, so, awesome chapter. And, okay, so there was no Snickers or Braves game to bump up the awesome factor, but, don't worry, this chapter was awesome enough on its own. And that is WAY more times than I would normally say awesome in one sentence, but it was fun. I mean, it was awesome.

Author's Response:

You? Are awesome. And if you have a streak of Kelly in you, so much the better!

Thanks for commenting on the language- I always try to make Pam (especially) talk and think like Pam would talk and think. And I think she's going to use pretty simple language. Glad you're still having fun, despite the severe lack of candy and team sports.

Wow FNB strikes.  I love it.

Author's Response: Thanks, again! I think now that she knows her own strength, she's going to really soar. I hope show-Jim can handle it!

She got the job!  Yay!  I didn't even notice that part last time.  Heh.  Love the fake tips!

Poor Michael.

Author's Response:

Heh, that part is new since the last version you got to see. I realized I needed to end it a little stronger.

Glad you liked the fake tips- those were hard to come up with!

"and she’s dressed up because she knows her boyfriend really likes it."  I am just giddy at that sentence -- so the last two paragraphs just about put me in a home.

Author's Response: Does the home have internet access? (Seriously, that made me laugh out loud). Thank you so much. I know I'm getting a little carried away with the fluff, but I love them so much. I want them to be happy!

wow! i heart Fancy New Beesley! the Old Pam never would have said that :) and Jim Halpert is just too perfect. he knew not to say he loved the new look too much... precious! i love this fic. you're doing a great job of showing how they progress, but don't forget what they've come through.

Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I definitely want to show them (particularly Pam) being more confident. I'm so glad you think it's working! They are so great, I want to do them justice. Thanks so much- two more to go!
