hahahahAHAZOIDSJF! this is mighty depressing, and yet all I can do is laugh. excellent.

Author's Response: Nice. I'm glad my pain amuses you. Stay tuned to my next post where I throw myself in front of a train.

I'd fuck you Jim...seriously...I would...

Author's Response: That's nice. Really. I appreciate it. I really shouldn't post shitfaced. I'm sorry. God, this is humiliating.

woah.  Jim is scary without Pam in his life.  Hurry, Pamela.  Hurry!

Author's Response: Pamela? She sounds nice...Yeah. I guess I shouldn't post drunk. I'm really a nice guy. A little pathetic, maybe. God, I need a girlfriend. Is this Pam chick a friend of yours?

Author: I love this concept! A great way to write a story and I'm enjoying Jim's thoughts of the Office before Pam. It's quite refreshing. Question: do you actually have an lj set up for this fic?

Jim: Things will get better soon. Am I psychic, you ask? Well, no. But I'm a glass is half full kind of girl. And when you're drowning your sorrows in alcohol, thats a good thing.

Author's Response: Hotdog: No real lj for this, too much to keep track of...rnrnFingers: Hrm. This glass is half empty. I must need a refill...

love it! i'd love to see "mood" and "listening to:" included, like they have on livejournal. i'm curious as to jim's musical selections and how they go along with how he's feeling. but great job. i love his dialogue; it makes him a lot more real.

Author's Response: Ah, see, now, I would have included that information if I hadn't been drunk off my ass when I posted this. Part of me wants to take it down out of sheer embarrassment. But, I'm going to man up here and keep it up as a healthy reminder of what not to do in the future. So check out the edit and thanks for the suggestion.

KEEP GOING JIM.

Author's Response: Yeah. That's it. Give me a reason to get up in the morning.

How the hell did I miss this one before?!  So !@#$%^& funny!  I'm laughing WITH Jim, not AT him, right??

Author's Response: Yes. Of course. Because Jim can't possibly be this pathetic, right? Right?

LMAO, of course they received Jim's prank with open arms back then. Perfect. All of it. I love the commentary on each of the characters - they're perfect, amazingly in-character for both them and Jim, which is strange because we don't see him talking like this on TV, but then again, he probably talks like this all the time.

Only thing, though, about Kelly? Up till at least ten episodes into the second season, she didn't seem to be that kind of person - of course, maybe she changed for the cameras and just decided to be like herself afterwards [after a particularly encouraging Britney Spears song, perhaps] - but that's not very Kelly, is that? :/ I'm sure I may be the only one who's thinking all of this rubbish, too, though, so maybe ignore me.

Still! I love this story. Just makes Jim even hotter, IMO.

Author's Response: They did really turn Kelly on her head, didn't they? The outfit she wears in Diversity Day is a pretty clear indication that they really didn't know what they were doing with her. I just decided that she had always been the way she is now, just not around Michael.

please please continue this for as long as you can.  i love this jim voice...i literally laughed out loud (at the angela part, for one), and it's great to see some more of jim's character (i sometimes feel he's a little one-dimensional on the show, but that's just my opinion, i'm sure).

 anyway, great work!

Except, of course, you couldn’t really write a character like this, because the suspension of disbelief required of your readers would be too great.

That is SO true.  I think it only works in a comedy series (or comedy movie), and even then I often have "Oh, come on" moments during Michael's escapades.  But the guy sure is entertaining!

Ha!  What a hilarious look at the possible history of Jim's Dunder Mifflin career.  I love the philosphy major part--genius!  And this?

I'm working for a cartoon character.

Perfect description of Michael!  Ha!

Bloody hell, I don't know why I didn't look at this before, but mark my words, I am now not going to stop. I have been convinced, I now see the folly in my ways!

Can I say that I freaking adore how you've gotten him writing? It's perfect. It's so very Jim, you know, all smart and smug and funny. And smart.

Also - fucking love the saran wrap idea. We get to see the birth of prankster!Jim! Am ecstatic and nearly snorting my head off [a la Jim Halpert in The Return] with glee. Update!

LMAO! This is priceless, and as an LJer myself, I can relate to its ability to maintain sanity.

Your Jim voice is fantastic, and the last chapter made me laugh out loud. Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the encouragement! I really didn't realize that writing him would be this fun.

Um, I'm pretty sure you are Jim.  That's exactly what he thought when he first started at DM.  They're kind of brothers now, in that annoying-I-want-to-smack-you kind of way, but this is the beginning for sure.  Awesome.

Author's Response: Yaay! Thanks for that. This thing is getting pretty addictive...
