Thank you for making Pam apologize for that overreaction.  It should be a rule for all females (married, engaged or single) that if Jim Halpert grabs you from behind, you do not over-react.  Just stand there and enjoy it.

Thanks ladama!

Author's Response: Yes, definitely should be a rule ;) Thanks for reading, it felt good to make Pam apologize.

I really liked this, even if I don't know if Pam would be so honest and open with Jim about why she got freaked out and stopped playing with him. I wish she would, but I kinda suspect that she wouldn't be so forward to say that it may look as though she and Jim were doing something wrong, because admitting that may mean they are doing something wrong, which means admitting more... I don't know if that makes any sense, just a thought.
But nonetheless, I really like that they were so easily able to bounce back into friendly (and flirty) banter, which is very them.
Fun stuff. Thanks!

Author's Response: I do agree with you, and I actually had a hard time writing that exchange. Pam wouldn't want to admit anything was wrong because that would have gotten dangerously close to Pam admitting she has feelings for Jim and/or that she knows Jim had feelings for her. But my reasoning for what she said was that I think people in general feel bolder on IM, and Jim wasn't right there in the office, he was at home. I also would like to think Pam realized ignoring Jim for the rest of the day was a little unreasonable (and an overreaction). Is this response long enough yet? ;) Thanks for reading.

You're making a story for each episode and I will make a comment for each story.

Another good one.  I like that Pam asked him to see if they need a receptionist.  Very sweet.

I really like the end there, that was cute. And I think it was good that Pam brought up telling him to leave and discussing how work isn't too bad (becasue of course they both know it would be bad if they didn't have each other). Thanks for keeping up with this!

It's such a treat getting emails about this story every day. It's an excellent way to countdown to the premiere, and it's totally getting me all excited for some real Jam action. Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Ah, good, glad you like it. :)

I thought this was really good, one of the best yet. Even though Jim and Pam don't like to talk about their problems so much, they do so here in a realistic way, like how Jim kind of brushes off her apology. And I think the last moments conversation is totally something they'd talk about. This is a really fun way to countdown to the season four premeire!

Author's Response: Hehe, thanks, I think Jim knows he took her suggestion a little too personally. She just wants him to be happy! (little did she know he's perfectly content as long as she's in his line of vision for most of the day ;) )

okay, this is sick...reading these little conversations makes me seriously happy while i'm sitting at my own desk...i kind of want you to keep doing them...a lot.  forever.  haha.  jk.

kind of.

Author's Response: Ah, no pressure there ;) I plan to have all three seasons by the premiere, and who knows, after a few S4 episodes I might start again. Glad you enjoy them!

I always imagine Pam's all time favorite as being Say Anything (before I saw the deleted scenes with Toby's list, even!).  As I said before, I adore these convos.  So much more can be said in IM than face to face.

Author's Response: Yeah, I could see something like "Say Anything" being her fave. I wonder if they ever decided on Pam's favorite movie, I bet Jenna knows . . .

I would say that Jim's favorite movie is Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but Pam's is probably something like...Roman Holiday?  Anyway, I'm really enjoying your "after hours" take on each episode ;)

Jealous Pam wanting some info on Katy... I like it. But I wanted to know Pam's top movie, too!
Very fun!

I really liked Office Olympics before The Job, since it was a great episode for all of the characters, especially Jim, but The Job made it that much better.
Good job, here!

These are great because they feel like conversations that Jim and Pam could have definitely had. Nicely kept in character.

I just can't get enough of this stuff!

My fave part was:

jimhalpert: hmmm, does the fire department accept Desert Island Movies as a legitimate reason to pull the alarm?

pambeesly: um . . . no

jimhalpert: damn

How many more do you plan on doing?

Author's Response: Hee, thanks, I thought that was a good way to end the chapter. I'm planning to have one for all the episodes so that means there's, what, 40 to go? I want to finish before the premiere, so keep checking back daily.

That is so sweet. Cause you know that meant a lot to Pam. I am really excited to be moving along into season 2 now... lotsa angst ahead, with a great pay off! Yay!

Author's Response: Yeah, and be prepared for even more angst in season 3. But it'll work out in the end :-)

Perfect, perfect banter, with a touch of jealousy. Really good chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks, that's what I was going for . . . a touch of jealousy from Pam.

I pretty much always thought Office Olympics was an awesome episode, but I agree that The Job added that little extra specialness to it. And Ryan is SO in trouble with the International Office Olympic Commission! But at least Jim sticks to the rules :)

Author's Response: Yeah, the IOOC doesn't care much for that Ryan character. Maybe Kelly can team up with them for her revenge! Thanks for commenting.

ladama, I continue to love everything you choose to write.  Also, yes, I really liked Office Olympics before The Job, but after The Job, it is legendary.

Thanks, can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Aw, does that mean I'm like the opposite of Toby? :-)

I am loving all of these. So cute! So Jam. So fluffy! And fluffy is good. Thanks for posting them!

Definitely feel the same way about Office Olympics--never paid much attention to it before The Job came along.  Loving your story so far.  You have characterization nailed.

Hey, you had 69 reviews before I reviewed. *giggle*

Author's Response: Thank you very much. 69, hehe /kevin

"triple o"...nice.  :-)  i love their flirting.  it makes me smile as i read in my own office (hey, it's a sunday, and i'm working).

anyway, i liked the office olympics...it's probably one of my favorites.  haha

 great job, again!

Author's Response: Working on a Sunday? Bummer. I love their little flirting too. Happy Jim and Pam makes me happy. Thanks for the comment.

This:

pambeesly: it's just a yogurt lid

jimhalpert: what do you mean just a yogurt lid?

jimhalpert: it's my gold medal in dunderball

jimhalpert: as well as a reminder that sometimes I do actually have fun at this place

was awesome and made me smile.  And yes, I have ten times more love for "Office Olympics" since seeing the finale.

Author's Response: Thanks, I like that exchange too. I'd like to think Jim still does have that yogurt lid, what do you think?

Office Olympics was already in my Top Ten -- The Job just nudged it up there.  Sweet chapter, BTW!

Author's Response: Ah, see, nothing about it really stood out to me before The Job (ironic since my fansite is name ed Flonkerton . . .), but of course now I love it.

I really love all those little conversations.  You're able to capture the little things about them (and Michael too!).  It's really fun to read.

Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad I'm able to capture some of their quirks in this format.

Yay, I love her admitting that she says nice things about him to her mom. And Pam meeting his mom is probably in my top 5 things I want to see on the show!

Author's Response: What I like about this chapter is Jim trying to draw Pam out a little bit; making her clarify that her mom wanted to meet him, and saying "really?" when she says she does talk about him with her mom. I definitely want to see Pam meet Jim's Mom too.
