Teen years - the epitome of awkward. I am still in horror over mine. Mine were a whole mess of awkward and weirdness.

I listened to Green Day just yesterday. Time of your Life I believe. And I started crying. And laughing. Because that song was played at the last dance of my summer camp, and on the last dance of my last year, my psuedocrush, see, we were all crying. Because it was the last dance, last night, of last year. Anyways, so in an attempt to cheer us up, he started acting like he was contipated (okay, so seriously, it sounds gross and childish, but i was like 15 or something, we were gross and childish), and it made us laugh through the tears.

And hmm, what was the first CD I bought with my own money? I don't even know - oh wait, it was Beth Hart. Haha. I only ever bought like 3 CDs total. most I ... 'stole' from friends, burned my own copies, and then downloaded illegally from internet. (hey, now I do the whole legal route).

Ew skittles. I hate skittles. Ew. So gross. And I've never had a payday. But good call on the m&ms. haha.

Okay, this is too sweet and cute for words, but I gotta say - my teen years would have been a lot better if they were even CLOSE to this!

I feel so sorry for Morgan, she must think she has the craziest cousin EVER

This is just... its so sweet and great.

Author's Response: My teen years would have been so much better, too, unfortunately, they were a little more awkward than this. Green Day's Dookie was one of the first CDs I ever bought. I think the first one was The Who's Tommy. rnThanks for the review!

Okay, I don't want to sound like a music snob, but "Love Hurts" isn't by Aerosmith, it's by Nazareth. (What? I'm old. Oh, and grunge sucks. :P) hehe.

Seriously, though, another great chapter here. So many frightening memories, even though I was already out of high school by 93...

Great job!

Author's Response: Ack! You're right! I'll fix it tomorrow when I get to work. Safari makes it difficult for me to do at home. Thanks for pointing it out!!

"I won't ever tell you what mine was," said Jim, "but it might actually rhyme with 'Schmatman Schmeturns'."   Such a cute line. I love that Jim has involved Pam's family in it.  So very sweet.

And this line -  "She had never appreciated just how sensitive touch was, until she was confronted with the situation of wanting to hug Jim, or kiss him, and knowing that she had to wait".  Sigh.......

Author's Response: Thank you so much, that's so nice of you to say

OMG -- an actual jr high school kid involved.  Gah!

Author's Response: Yeah, i figured Jim would want the real thing, as there is NOTHING like a real junior high girl (and I mean that in the non-dirtiest way possible, it just sounds kind of sketchy). Thanks for the review!

This story is so awesome. So adorable. I like the part about Jim wanting the cousin to be outside in the hall crying. Tres junior high. Although at my school, it would have been the bathroom right outside the cafeteria, where we had our dances. oh memories.

Author's Response: I love that it happened at every. singe. dance. rnThanks for the review!
