as much as i hate the thought of jim's death, i really like this story. i like the style of pam telling the story in past-tense. and random note: it makes me think of that article that a woman wrote and got a lot of publicity for about how she'd be able to survive the death of one of her children, but not the death of her husband because he was her support. yeah, had to throw that in. looking forward to reading more!

I love the additions you made about their kids and whatnot. You rock :D This just takes a lot out of me when I'm reading this! So heartbreaking and bittersweet. :(
