Such heartfelt dialog.  Just the right combination between silly and sweet.

You know what I like about this? Pam is all caught up in the whole scene- the place, the memories it doesn't stir up and the ones she is creating...and Jim is just caught up in her, and the visual stimulation from her. It not only seems in-character, it also really parallels my experience with how men and women process things differently. In other words- this feels really realistic.

Wow, that description of Jim checking her out was great. I love his interest in even her toes, it really shows exactly how much he loves her. I bet he never looked at Karen's, lol.

Of course Jim remembers. It's Pam, after all. Very sweet.

This is perfect. Seriously perfect. The tone of the conversation, the way they can't quite find the balance between serious and playful, the difficulty in saying the right thing- it's exactly them. Wonderful.

This story is just so wonderful!  I really look forward to each update.  Love the guarantee and how he waves away the valet so he can help her out of the car.  Sigh.

great job...it is nice to see all points of view...i feel though that jim might not have let karen down that quickly...i mean yes he didn't love her, but i think he liked her and respected her!! just my opinion...can't wait for more

Author's Response: I wondered about it in the show. I read somewhere (probably here) that it's a 3 hour drive from Scranton to N.Y. With the interviews in the morning, the drama with Jan, the break-up, ad the drive-back, I figured he'd have to dump her fast to make it back during the workday.

Loved that the focus was on him being lost in her, but it seems odd that he didn't mention to her how nice she looked.

Author's Response: It's coming up;-)

I just love this story.  I really do.  You mention so many perfect little details that I can't recall reading before (TP by his ear, rating a tie, etc.).  Simply put, this makes me happy.

Oh, i love that Pam is so nervous about what to wear. If she's anything like me, her bed currently has every article of clothing she owns draped across it. You capture that nervous excitement beautifully.

Oooh, that was cold! I always figured Karen refused to leave with Jim, not that he just went off without her. Still, I like that you have him being so straightforward and honest.

Author's Response: I kept thinking about how he broke up with Katie during the Booze Cruise. He'd apparently been dating her a long time and he just up and dropped her. He didn't love Karen or date her longer than he had Katie, so I figured it might be his style - like a band-aid, harsh and quick.

I love this chapter.  Simply perfect.  Jim shook himself mentally. “All set?”     I really like that image.

I'm loving this story!  You're doing so well capturing the characters.  I loved the "let's do this Beesly."  It's such a Jim thing to say!  Can't wait for the date!
