This is a great story. Jim's fears are displayed and Pam's insecurities are examined. When they end up together it's a beautiful thing.
I think Angela did it.
Great story! It could gone on even longer. Hope you come back to it someday.

Hey just re-read the story. I liked the last chapter, having read the previous one I was a bit sceptical thinking surely Jim would be over Roy, but your last chapter was perfect, showing how he knows he has to accept he was part of her life
I have to admit I disagree with your early chapters on Jim's feelings. I don't think he genuinely meant to be cold or horrible to Pam. The only part he possibly was a bit harsh was in "Negotiation", but other than that he simply kept a distance in my mind rather than being cold to her. The way you describe him taking pleasure in Pam's expression whenever she saw him with Karen, I just can't imagine Jim doing that. I think he genuinely believes she didn't have any feelings whatsoever for him, and was completely oblivious to her staring.
But thats the only part I disagree with, I really love this story, and I'm really curious as to who left the piece of paper insulting Jim in his folder. Could it possibly have been Pam from back when she was angry at him?
Author's Response: Thanks Noodles, I'm glad you're liking it. I keep making the disclaimer that I wish I could go back and completely re-edit all those early chapters; I wrote so much other stuff over the summer and changed a lot of my ideas of what their relationship was like...but I'm going to leave it all as it is and call it a learning experience :) I appreciate your candor about Jim's feelings early on. In fact, when I was rewatching season 3 I decided that maybe I was exaggerating his resentment. On the other hand, though, the way he ignored her in BG struck me as purposeful. But aaaah I'm gonna leave it. In any case, thank you for reading (and re-reading), and leaving your thoughts. As for that last mystery... I'm not telling. :)

Oh, this was great. I totally agree with you on how it went down between Jim and Karen. I can't wait to read what's next!
Author's Response: Yikes, I wrote that a while ago. Does it still ring true? I'm serious that I wanted to just gut all those chapters and do them over, but I'm glad you liked it :)

This is the first Jim/Pam fanfic I've ever read and..haha you have totally spoiled me. I read yours first, then read a bunch of others..and now have come back to read yours over and over again because nothing is as good. Any chance updates are coming soon? How many chapters do you think you'll go up to?
Author's Response: Thanks sarah! Over and over again? how sweet. I really only intended this to be the first three chapters but some of my early reviewers encouraged me to continue with it, which I did, but without a plan,so... now I'm not sure where to go with it. But I may keep working on it. Glad you like it! Thanks for the review. They definitely serve to inspire :)

Well, in my family, we have a great tradition of forcing each other to admit You were right! I had been planning to leave another review gloating just a bit that you'd been so unsure that this story had more than four chapters in it and ... I was right!
But you beat me to the punch! I'm so glad you allowed yourself to be persuaded that there really should be ... ahem! ... TWELVE chapters to this story! I am loving every chapter and anxiously await the next post!
Author's Response: Thanks again VB. So, ahem...you were right! I'm glad you're enjoying it. But please don't throw garbage at me if I work on some other stuff while I figure out where I want to go with this one. :)

"I’ll take forever to decide to act and then do something totally impulsive." My stars! It's Jim in one sentence. Someone get this lady a Dundie. Enjoying this thoroughly. Keep going.
Author's Response: Thanks! Ooh, my own Dundie. Now that would be cool.

woohoo, update!
(very excited to see this, if you couldn't tell)
I'm really enjoying your story as you take us through the first months together, and the steps people take in being a couple. Everything is very real, and the characters are true to the show - if you were having problems with Pam, I couldn't tell. Anyway, a very fun update, thanks so much!
Author's Response: Thanks Jordon! I'm glad you're still along for the ride. I don't know why but the Pam chapters are really making me struggle, whereas Jim's chapters just seem to pour out...but I'm glad it doesn't seem like it. Thanks for reading!

I really enjoyed this. It was well written, and alternating between Jim and Pam's thoughts was a nice touch. There
was a nice mix of dialogue and narration. You've really managed to get inside their heads and write down their thoughts in a believable way.
I can’t. Those fucking words again. My throat closed up and I shut my eyes tight and reached behind me to grab onto the railing, afraid I might actually collapse. Not again. Oh dear sweet Jesus not again."
That part killed me. My stomach actually plummeted reading that because I could really feel the shock and panic Jim was going through. Really great writing.
The only thing that I didn't quite find believable was Karen writing those messages and sticking them in Jim's desk. It just seemed a bit ooc and immature for her to stick angry notes in his desk, and somewhat different than the level headed person the show has portrayed her as. That's just my opinion though. Please don't take this personally, I really enjoyed your story otherwise.
Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback! I really like to hear everything, including stuff that doesn't work. And...I probably shouldn't say this because I don't like foreshadowing, but... it really DOESN'T seem like Karen's style, does it? ;)

Oh no! Unacceptable! Your readers are all totally enraptured, like me, I'm sure! We want 12 chapters. One for every line of the poem. Three stanzas! Can we take a poll?
Author's Response: Really?

Good golly this is fantastic. Incredibly detailed and descriptive, and Jim and Pam are just perfectly written. Great, great job, are you sure this is your first story?
Author's Response: Thanks! What a nice compliment from an English Lit student! :)rnrnThis is the second story I've posted, but i've been writing for a long time. This is just such a fun, great place (and fun, great characters) to practice with.

I really really liked this. It was a totally believable look at Jim's thought processes... I can't wait to read what you do with Pam's!
