VB, I'm on a kick with your stuff. I'm reading this again, since I remember loving it so much the first time. But I don't remember it being complete, soooo yay!

Oh goodness! What is it a picture of? I love this story already. I hope it has a happy ending!
Author's Response: Hi, Sarah! Oh, I hope you like the picture when you get to it!

This is a really great piece! I want someone to draw Pam's picture really badly :D
Author's Response:
Hi, Margo! Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave a note. I see it is your first review … so, WELCOME!
I wish I could draw the picture for you but, alas, I have trouble with stick figures.

*sniff honk*
I love happy endings. I'm glad you had Jim physically come to meet her without telling her, they don't communicate well verbally and I was afraid they'd screw it up. LOL
My favorite little detail was that Jim thought the guy leaving was her boyfriend, just loved this:
But he couldn’t move. He started at the good-looking, rumpled guy, transfixed. Still trying to process why Pam would do this to him.,
And I loved that they both asked each other what took them so long.
Great job.
Author's Response:
Hey, jazzfan!
Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked Rick's cameo appearance.
So, how was college hunting??

Ooh, now I'm very curious! I'm glad she left D-M and painted, though.

Holy God! This is very good. Even though I would have died if Jim had accepted the promotion in the actual show, I like what you've done here and I can't wait to see Jim's reaction! Go Pam for quoting Season 2 Jim and sending him that awesome note! Go you for writing Pam and Jim so perfectly. Reading on... =]
Author's Response: Thanks a lot JamFan4. That's the fun thing about fanfiction ... we can explore things that would make us NUTS in the show. Like Wendolf's Philly Jim ... utterly AU but perfect! I'm so glad you're enjoying my take on what might have been...

Ok, busy day but I finally have time for a real review now!
I love how Pam was able to show her feelings for Jim through her art in a way that she was never able to tell him in person. And "Jinx"...I could picture that portrait perfectly. I also want to say that your description of the portrait of her grandparents brought tears to my eyes. So well done.
I can't wait to see how they both react when they see each other. I think that one hug will be all it takes to bring Jim's feelings back to the surface immediately and intensely.
For a "one-shot", this story has become very dear to my heart!
It's great about your son, you must be so proud of him!
Author's Response:
Hi, jkfan9989. Thanks for leaving TWO reviews for this chapter. I'm glad you liked the descriptions of Pam's art. Jinx was a giveaway ... we ALL could envision that smile. I'm sure it's burned into the brain of every female who witnessed that scene – we all probably replayed it about 50 times, yeah? I kinda liked the portrait of her grandparents, too. Thanks for letting me know that it touched you.
And, YES, I am so proud of my son! This is going to be an amazing experience for him and I'm glad he's able to share it with me and others through his AWAY IN MALAWI blog.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a detailed review. I truly appreciate it.

Yeah, an update! And a new blog to stalk. SCORE!
Author's Response: Thanks, luchy! And definitely stalk the blog! Kid's a good writer. (I still remember the day his middle school English teacher told me that he said, "I think I'm getting my mom's flair for writing!" Made my day.)

Yay I was so happy to see this story updated. I absolutely love it, the drawings Pam drew of Jim, just perfect. I can't wait for the next chapter where hopefully they'll finally meet!
Author's Response: Thanks, Noodles! I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. Hopefully, the next one won't disappoint!

I was really happy to see this one pop up tonight, but now I can't wait until the next chapter. *whines*
I especially loved the "Moosetracks moments," and I can't wait for Jim to get his tuckas to Philly.
Very cool blog, BTW.
Author's Response:
Thanks, jazzfan! No whining - I'm writing as fast as I can! I'm glad you liked the Moose Tracks moments. I was kinda partial to them, myeslf!
And thanks for taking a look at Billy's Malawi blog. I am so proud of him!

I'm SO sorry to hear you're stuck! I really hate to put pressure on you, so I won't say that you're killing me here. Oops, I said it...
Author's Response: Sorry! We've been getting ready for my son to leave for MALAWI, AFRICA! (He's going to volunteer with www.projectpeanutbutter.org for 3 - 9 months.) Been a bit busy. We take him to the airport on Monday ... so maybe next week?

A little irritated. I think you write wonderfully and I like seeing how you go in to their minds but there's not very much movement. We've been in their heads for five chapters and nothing has really happened. Very much like Cardiac Care. Jim ad Pam were laying in bed for multiple chapters and while we got to see what they were thinking and feelings...nothing happened. We get lots of the story but the story isn't happening.
Author's Response: Ah. Thanks for the honesty. I'll make sure something happens in the next chapter.

I'm hooked. Very interesting scenario, I can't wait to see how it unfolds.
Author's Response: Thanks!

I am so glad I found this story, two things really make it click for me so far. Your portrayal of Pam is right on I think, and the way you described Jim's relationship with Karen was basically the way I've always wanted to but have been unable to express in words. PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!
Author's Response: Thanks a lot, dmtip. I'm glad to hear you think I got Pam and karen right. There will be a couple more chapters before this story is marked complete. Thanks for the attagirl!

I love this story right now. There are so many posting now that are so sad--fights, illness, separation, broken engagements. Yikes. Everyone seems obsessed with an unhappy JAM right now!
This story gives me some hope that they'll figure it out.
Author's Response: Thanks, jkfan9989. I'm pretty sure my Pam & Jim will figure things out. Really hoping Pisa (Not the Marrying Kind) is not some kind of soothsayer!

OK yeah...grrreat story...um, there was this other story I was loving...I think it was called Cardiac Care? Killing me with that one VB.
-MCC
Author's Response:
Thank you for the little nudge, MCC! I'm not forgetting Cardiac Care. This story was supposed to be a quickie but it keeps growing on me! I think it'll be done in a couple of chapters and then I'll get back to the first one.

Wow this is a very lovely story. I love the way you write (Cardiac Care), and this definitely didn't dissapoint. I loved Pam's awkward letter that had hints of her being her own woman. It was great!
Author's Response: Thanks, raspberryjam. I'm so glad that you enjoy my stories.

What a great story! You are such a good writer! Can't wait for more! I am anxious to see what happens!
Author's Response: Thank you very much, Jinxcoke. I really appreciate the compliment.

HEY! I think that this is an awfully interesting way to write this story.
I think that the turn you took for the story was quite nice. How Jim and Pam haven't seen each other in 2 years and you know, had a reallly big falling out.
I think that the direction you take this story in would be awesome because the story itself is quite awesome. I love it.
Now, to my next issue...
"LD’S
T
DDY"
what does that mean? because I honestly don't know. Hehe
Author's Response:
Thanks so much for the lovely review! I guess I confused enough people that I will explain the mug in a response instead of an email. (I thought the white stick with the red plus would give it away.)
It says

BEST
DADDY

VB, that drawing made me teary! Everything about it was just lovely. Thank you for writing this!
Author's Response: You're welcome! I am so much enjoying writing this story. Receiving such nice feedback as this is really gratifying. Thanks for taking the time to leave a note.

What an interesting premise! I'm really enjoying this look at how things could have been. I don't think I'd ever appreciated how brave it was for Jim to do what he did- risking everything again on Pam. It's a good thing he did!
Author's Response: Thanks, nqllisi. Yep, he defintely could've gone down one sorrowful road. I'm glad you're enjoying my story.

Very good writing, I always wondered what might have happened if the yogurt lid hadn't done the trick.
Karen never seemed like the type that would force wedding plans, but then, maybe we didn't really know her. *grin*
I'm very interested to see what happens, especially since Pam seems to have moved on much better than Jim.
Author's Response:
Thanks, jazzfan. Yeah, maybe Karen wouldn't force wedding plans. She always did strike me as someone who gets what she wants, though. In any case, she is now conveniently GONE.
I hope you'll like the upcoming chapters as well.
