I must admit, as much as this was fantastic, I really like the chapters like the previous one the best, when they're just being Jim and Pam - picking out ties for example. I guess I actually like both styles of chapter content. I can't wait for the next chapter, great job!

Author's Response: Yeah, it's hard to accurately imagine what they're really like behind closed doors together. Plus no couple is always sweet or always wild. I imagine that Jim and Pam can get a little crazy from time to time, so this is definitely a portrayal of their more daring sides. But as a rule, my favorite thing to write is the banter, that line of communication between them that says no matter what, they'll always be best friends (thus not being able to resist the urge to add a little in at the end). That also comes more naturally. This... let's just say I had to dig into every bag of dirty tricks I had.

Author's Response: Wow, nice use of prurient. :-) So...in answer to your question, yes, there will be at least two more "adult" scenes, but I have to ask: do y'all like 'em sweet or dirty? Because it affects how I'll write certain things. Oh, and not to fear, their first time will be revealed.

Sorry I didn't review immediately but I really did love this. Such a perfect way to reveal what happened between them and I see that you intend to have flashbacks? Even more perfect. And those mothers are awesome, especially Larissa. And the incorporation of all the various references to the show. And Jim in a magenta tie is always a good thing, Jim in any tie is a good thing. And I realize I've used 'And' too much, so I'll stop now but so looking forward to more!

(BTW, in response to your last response to my response, I think the lesbian angle could work. Jim would make a very attractive lady...called Jimina...that way he would never get Italian food pregnant...the possibilities are endless..)

Author's Response: I was actually trying to write that part in Pam's 13-year-old, just-got-back-from-California voice, so the grammar was intentionally imperfect. I'd imagine that he still had it, yes, but as far as Pam was concerned, the important thing is that he'd had it when he hugged her and she felt it. But in general, I'm really careful about things like that. Nice to know another grammar nut!

That was the best chapter ever! At first I was a little concerned they were so casual when they first met up at Boscov's, but the kissing/tie scene was PERFECT! Great job, this was awesome! I can't wait to see how you progress this and show Jim and Pam in their relationship, this is always a fun read! And thanks for all the quick updates, I appreciate them!

Author's Response: Yeah... I was kind of playing with y'all about whether they were really a couple now or if they'd just had an intense night a few months back. But no, they've just been keeping it a secret... guess the cat's out of the bag now.

Ha, loved this chapter. Loved that they were kind of like kids again, sneaking around and sheepish, when they're moms are with them. Too cute. Hope we get a little back story about the very beginning of their relationship? I love this damn story.

OK, I've read this latest chapter 3 times, and let me tell you, I just can't even coherently tell you how absolutely adorable the image you've created here is. I love love love "Money" and that you put one of my favorite squee worthy lines in your fic in such a great way is so cool! And OMG this: “If ‘Italian food’ comes home pregnant,” Larissa informed him, patting him on the upper arm, “I’ll cut your penis off.” = perfection. Hilarious perfection. I love this story & this chapter rocks! love. it.

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad it works. I like incorporating little moments from the show but I always worry that it's too put upon or something. The Larissa/Jim relationship was a lot of fun, but not really something I thought much about. It just makes sense that she'd be very good humored like Jim, but if you read the first chapter, she was the only girl among four, then had two sons, so she's spent her whole life surrounded by men. I see Larissa as very no-nonsense, but she's got that emotional side of her too. I can see she and Jim being close, where I think Pete is probably closer to Mr. Halpert (both more alpha male, I imagine). I also think Larissa loves Pam like a daughter and while she wants her kids to be happy, there's a part of her that hated when Pam was dating Roy or Jim was dating Karen or anyone else. I think sometimes she says things like "I'll cut your penis off" to cover up moments that might become too emotional and border on maudlin.

*happy sigh* That was very, very sweet! I loved how you once again added lines from the show into the stories because that "I'm in love with Italian food" is one of my favorite lines ever!

Also, favorite line from this chapter: "If 'Italian food' comes home pregnant..." LOL.

reminds me of when i was 7... (long story, so bear with me) we were at dinner with my grandparents, who are very stiff upper lip country club people. i suddenly said that "i know the f-word." in our family, the "f-word" was "fart"... so my mom said, "it's okay, you can say it." so, i said, proudly, and with gusto, "F***!"

Author's Response: Hahaha!! Fortunately or unfortunately, I have a very long memory, so baby Jimmy and Pammy are based in many ways on my younger sister, who is now 24. She learned the word penis at an inopportune time and toddled around my grandparents' home on a religious holiday announcing it repeatedly. (I got in trouble, but I swear I'm not the one who taught her that). Also, she used to sneak into my bedroom when I was 8 and she was 3, promise to go to sleep like a well-behaved child, and then proceed to belt out "I be workin' on the raaaay ro..." until my father would come in and, you guessed it, holler at me.

Thank god it's about time. I love the thoughts they both have and how OBVIOUS it is that they belong together. Ugh I can't wait to see what happens next. Smut please?

Author's Response: Thanks! The original plan was for Jim to be sad post long distance break up with Karen and Pam to be lamenting her own post-Toby dry spell. It was going to stop at "yeah, you are special" and just be an eye contact moment, but it felt right to escalate the process.
