While there would be something super dramatic and artsy about ending this story now (like the final episode of the Sopranos), I am so invested in this story that it would be very personally upsetting.
I'm gripped by the dark angstiness of this story because you are telling it a way that reads very real to Jim and Pam.
Please keep it up.

Oh my goodness, this is so hard to read. But I just can't stop - it's so good! This is fantastic SO FAR, Dedeen, and I'm looking forwards to reading how things will continue. You've done such an incredible job keeping this realistic in both the medical sense (not that I'd know anything for sure!) and the Jim/Pam relationship sense. I'm really looking forwards to chapter three, keep going!

I love stories where Jim and Pam take care of each other, but I have to admit that I'm not normally good with such tragic issues...especially if the person dies. It's very well written, though, so maybe that will counteract my I-can't-even-have-jim-or-pam-die-in-fic fears. :) I look forward to continuing it and seeing where it goes.

Yes, you absolutely need to continue! Please don't be hesitant about this. I've received so much advice with my writing, and the one piece that fits here is- as long as it's believable and you're happy with it, that's what matters. I think having this on first person is a great way for you to not be overly melodramatic. It'll seem logical given Pam is telling the story, any time she breaks, it'll be natural because we know what she's thinking. Anyway, I hope that you do continue this. Your writing is practically flawless and so in character. So I hope all of my ramblings helped convince you to go with this and I look forward to following this.

I have a sneaky confession to make. I love stories that have one of them injured or sick and the other one concerned. I'm not sure if that me sadistic or mean...but I do. I enjoy the drama and the love associated with it. And I think while it can easily tip in to melodrama, you've kept it perfectly realistic here. It's tragic and worrying but I can't wait for more. :)
